Food is usually great especially the steak tips Service ALWAYs leaves a lot to be desired They now accept credit cards!!!!! Avoid the coleslaw but fries and curly fries are decent as well as zucchini fries for an upgrade

    Stuffed quohog or fresh turd?

Great environment for a sports fan but the food is just terrible! This spot is right on Main Street in Harwichport. It's a Boston style sports bar in a resort town. Inside the bar/restaurant is dark and cozy and air conditioned very well. Word of warning ... bring a sweater if you eat inside. However on hot, steamy Harwichport days, this is a great area to cool off and have a few draft beers and watch sports. The food is the worst. I've eaten here (reluctantly) both inside and takeout post-covid and everything I had was just not good. I had the teriyaki burger which I ordered medium rare and it was a dry, grey inside and completely tasteless, unseasoned burger. The cheese and mushrooms were also tasteless and the teriyaki was non-existent. The size was big but I only ate half because it was bland and dry. Upgraded to the zucchini fries for a couple bucks. Not remarkable but edible. The stuffed quahog was literally one of the worst things I've ever eaten. It is a running joke to our circle of friends to this day. It's a deep fried, greasy ball of bread stuffing (doesn't even come in a clam shell!) it literally looks like a wet horse turd. So unappealing but then the taste is beyond description. Peppers, sawdust and grease is how I'd say this tastes. The salads are okay ... bagged lettuce, okay dressing, no presentation. Sandwiches are just alright ... dry shaved beef. Cheese. Nothing you couldn't get at a sub shop. Best thing on the menu would be the chicken tenders which are typical Sysco type of crunchy tenders you'd find at a ballpark or football game. The chili is stewed hamburger meat swimming in grease with a bland taste. Very watery and no seasoning..Overall, it's overpriced and below average. I know it sounds like I am being overly critical but as one of the spots that stays open the latest in HWP, we've ended up eating here far too many times. It's really consistent though in terms of the food. The plus ... it's a cool local bar with lots of space for seating indoors, a few outdoor tables good for people watching and the clientele is 'interesting' local bar flies mixed in with tourists who are the 'sports bar crowd'. Bartenders can be really friendly or really crusty. But, the beer selection is good, drafts are cold and there is a lot of sports memorabilia and tvs for relaxing. Come for the atmosphere and the drinking. Stay away from the food ... the more you drink, the better it tastes.

Grabbed take-out for kids, very courteous and attentive - food was hot! Two thumbs up from my kids on the chicken tenders.

It was a nice time to visit, relaxed and not too crowded. We ordered a Caesar salad, steak tips, fried seafood platter (fresh cod, scallops, and clams with fries and coleslaw), clam chowder, and a kids' grilled cheese. Overall, the fried seafood platter was the standout and definitely the best way to sample a bit of everything. The fish, scallops, and clams were all fresh and nicely fried, and the portion was generous. The steak tips were also solid, tender and well-seasoned. The clam chowder was decent, though not especially memorable. The kids' grilled cheese was a bit overdone on the outside and came out slightly burnt, but otherwise was fine for a simple kid's meal. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that classic Cape Cod waterfront feel that makes it an easy, casual dining spot. We did notice quite a few tables ordering the lobster roll, which we'll probably try next time we visit since it seemed to be one of the more popular items. Overall, Brax Landing Restaurant is a solid, casual seafood spot with good variety, worth a visit, especially for the fried seafood platter.

This is a solid option for seafood and American food in Harwich Port. My girlfriend's family all ordered a seafood dish (scallops, lobster roll, and seafood platter) but I opted for a hamburger as I am not a huge seafood fan (ironic in Cape Cod). I took a bite of some of the seafood dishes and objectively can say they were pretty good! I was a fan of my girlfriend's lobster roll. My burger was standard, but it also came with Canadian bacon which I have never seen before on a burger. It was a good addition. Fries were very good as well. Service was great. They also have waterfront dining outside. Definitely a solid option for seafood.

Then admitted they "have no way of knowing if an ID is real" while bending my ID (trying to break it) and refusing to serve anyone in our party. I was forced to call the police MYSELF to diffuse the situation. Officers arrived and immediately confirmed all ID's were valid. Instead of apologizing for embarrassing themselves, publicly humiliating a customer, and wasting police resources, staff stood outside smoking and laughing while watching me leave, after publicly destroying my night with my fiancé, friends, and mother. This wasn't a safety check. It was reckless behavior, untrained staff, and a serious lapse in judgment that exposed this business to legal liability. Management should be extremely concerned about employees who feel so freely to falsely accuse customers of federal criminal activity. ESPECIALLY when they admit they can't verify and then mock customers after being proven wrong. Avoid. I'm shocked ownership allows staff to handle IDs in a way that clearly invites complaints and legal consequence. Management should do better, come on now.
