Came here for a bubble tea, and some macaroons. Completely disappointed here. I think I could have made a better bubble tea. There isn't anything spectacular about this place's bubble tea. The tapioca balls were shriveled, and on the firm side. I guess that means they are old. Plus, they did not crush the ice well enough. You could take chips of ice with every gulp. The macaroons they have were unique, but this also tasted old. It was on the firmer side, and tasted too sweet. One thing about macaroons is that when you bite into one you feel like you're biting into a piece of heaven. Not with these macaroons. read more

Good place to chill and get bubble tea after spa at King Spa! Huge interior to chill and relax! Location: It is located in Palisades Park. The store is big with a lot of seating! The interior is nice and you can feel that you want to study inside. Service: not that much interaction, i just ordered and go. Food: I only ordered BLACK SESAME BUBBLE TEA: it was good, and unlike other slushies that after a while you lost the taste. This one until the end you can taste the black sesame. so we came here around 845 since they were right across the street from dinner and it closes at 930, ample of time right? apparently not. the asian girl was SUPER sweet but the white guy in the back was being a complete d*ck. he kept saying "no more orders" while we were patiently waiting to be served and the girl kept saying "they were here, they'll be the last one" and the two of them kept going back and forth while we were in front of them. like dude, stop being rude. the girl said that she'll take our order and even make our order, keep doing what you're doing and stop telling her IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMER not to serve us. like what? if the roles were reversed, he'd probably go OFF. stop treating people so horribly wtf. anyways. the girl took our order and made our food within 5 minutes and we were courteous enough to put things in paper bowls and return the bowl so that they can clean up at 9pm and ate within 10 minutes and left way before 915pm. we felt so rushed and not welcomed. the mango shaved ice wasn't bad at all but we couldn't really enjoy it. there was another family there and they were taking their sweet time so i guess as customers we should've done the same but the dude started cleaning up and taking the trash out so we didn't want to stay anymore. overall, would love to come back without him there, otherwise, dont bother. read more

However, if you come hungry and wants to get nice meal (which was the reason I came), then you may want to check some other places. Had crepes with mozzarella and ham, I think it was one of the worst crepe I ever had. Coffee was good though. Owner could have been nicer. I really didn't know what's in one of the menu. First thing a place like this needs to understand is that service is paramount. When you hire a bunch of young kids who don't really care about the success of the business.... well you end up with lower ratings. We ordered the waffle with bananas and strawberries. I went back to our table and waited.... i should have realized that I should check on our order sooner, but I was expecting to be called when the order was ready. When I went to check, I found that the waffle was ready and sitting on the counter. I suppose I should have stood there to wait after I ordered it. But it really wasn't that busy. So if the food is ready and you see no one is claiming it - wouldn't you go look for the customer so it doesn't sit there and get cold? Little things matter when you are paying $9 for a waffle. The old lady (seems like owner) is very rude with bad attitude to customer. On my first order, didn't notice there is a $10 min purchase to use credit card, and she literally told me like this- you should remember this and I won't let you use credit card next time if it is under $10. I've had many shaved ice from many places ranging from Taiwan to Hawaii. But this place has the best shaved ice I've ever encountered. The ice is not shaved in chunks or flakes. They are ice slivers. When it goes in your mouth it has a lightness like air which compresses down to an icy texture which Immediately then melts away. A fleeting sensation of bliss making you yearn for more. Don't get the Turkey avacado sandwich. It's so bad it will linger in your memories for a while. It's price and description will upset you. Processed and pre packaged sliced turkey (tasted gelatinous and nothing resembling turkey), sliced white or wheat bread same as you get at Shoprite down the block, not actual avacado slices but just a little smeared on, lettuce, tomatoes, and fries. This cafe is okay. A big contributor to their mediocrity is the extensive menu. I think they would do a lot better if they had a few selections that they excelled at. I've tried the coffee, taiyaki, and street toast. Coffee and taiyaki are good. I appreciate that the taiyakis are made to order. The street toast is just OK. It would be better if they buttered the toast like the original Korean recipe calls for. Environment-wise, it's quiet in the morning- a great place to do work. They also play classical music in the background which makes for a relaxing mood. However, it does get busy and loud in the afternoon so save your conference calls for somewhere else during their peak hours. read more
