I actually created this Yelp account because of this restaurant. My kids were so impressed that they begged me to make an account so they could leave their very first review--and honestly, I had to back them up on this one. We've been to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, countless hotels, and restaurants all over the place, and this is the first restaurant where the host proactively asked about food allergies before we were even seated. Our server, Dom, was phenomenal. He never stopped smiling, even though one of my kids flagged him down at least 10 times throughout the meal. He carefully double-checked the allergy information, communicated it to the rest of the staff, and checked on us frequently to make sure everything was perfect. What truly set this experience apart was the level of care from the entire team. The manager and chef both came to our table to speak with us personally, explain the meaning behind the special purple pick, and ensure we felt completely comfortable and cared for. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Not only was it safe, but it was packed with flavor--something that can be surprisingly hard to find when navigating food allergies. Ordered the Beef and Broccoli, Dragon Fried Rice with no crab (had crab meat in it) and two appetizers- spring rolls and wontons. The appetizers were really tasty and we should have stopped there because the entrées were mid at best. Service was good but didn't make up for the food. The food was absolutely amazing, the ambiance was beautiful the lights were low with nice blue skylights above you, plenty of seating, and the staff was really nice too. Everything is new. The food was stunning. Double fried Korean chicken wing, a cold peanut noodle salad, I forget what kind of beef with the flat noodles my partner got but the beef was braised for 24 hours, and I got coconut curry shrimp which somehow maintained it's crunchiness even though it was in a delicate slightly coconutty sauce. Everything was amazing. It'll cost you that's for sure but it's worth it especially if you're already there at Epic Universe. read more

This is hands down my favorite dining spot in Epic!! After a long day at the park, my family & I enjoyed several dishes here. We did some cold noodles, the potstickers, the soup dumplings, the fried rice and orange chicken and oh my goodness it was all AMAZING!! Our waitress was fantastic, she was probably the best team member we encountered during our stay. The restaurant itself is so beautiful. After a tiring day in the park, our group of 6 decided we needed to refuel with Chinese food. We didn't want typical theme park food and liked what we saw from the outside design, indoor theming and menu. We shared a bunch of dishes and pretty much enjoyed them all. The calamari, pot stickers and cold noodles were the most enjoyable apps, and orange chicken and dragon fried rice were the most liked entrees. The plum oolong tea was nice on this 50 something degree night! Service was good to boot. We crushed 2 banana ice cream desserts which were most delicious. Definitely recommend! read more

We had Blue Dragon for dinner. Service was excellent; they verified several times for food allergies (pork in our case). Our waiter (Jake) was outstanding for our group (6 of us). The inside of the restaurant is great and worthy of pictures. The food was average. Korean wings were huge, but so crispy that they weren't enjoyable. Spring rolls were good, dumplings were average. The snowflake pot stickers were amazing, and the Thai boba was super tasty -- the perfect PM pick-me-up before tackling the rest of the park. The service was the stand out experience. Our server (Loyd?) was attentive and engaging. He asked us how our day was and upon hearing our poor ride experience (rides delayed back to back) he told his manager Bryce, who helped us salvage the day by walking us to customer service, who compensated us w a couple express passes so our day wasnt a wash out. The food was great and the chef came out to give us recommendations especially with our son who was allergic to peanuts. Such fantastic food! We loved everything we tried and ate here twice. This spot has the same named foods found on everyday Chinese Food restaurant menus but is definitely a step above with smokey flavors that would probably throw someone off wanting everyday Chinese Food so a kid might not love the same Dragon Rice we adored. Ramen was shockingly delicious for being in the theme park. Beef and Broccoli and Orange Chicken were the best we ever had. Did not love the Banana Napoleon as it is, the dish needs a bit of banana in every mouthful because the cream and wonton do not taste good alone so maybe ask for a whole banana if you get it and then it would work. If I had kids I would let them fill up on burgers at a walk up then have an adult meal here. This restaurant would probably do well to have a plain hamburger, hot dog or Mac and Cheese option for those that are bound to be at the table who want more traditional foods. Food was good, the Korean Chicken wings were really big and crunchy, a bit too hard to bite but the taste was very good. The chili wontons and the soup dumplings was ok, the chili sauce has too much vinegar taste. The potstickers was really good, but the dipping sauce was also too vinegary. Still dreaming of this restaurant! We were able to get a reservation for dinner while we were spending the day at Epic. Our family shared the smashed cucumbers (sooo good), wontons and snowflake potsticker. My kids split the dragon fried rice and my husband and I split the peanut shrimp noodles. The peanut noodles were so incredibly amazing I have been thinking about them ever since. Only sad that this is inside a theme park or we would be visiting for my birthday next week. I was hoping somehow it was connected to the hotel and we could visit but sad for us it is not a possibility. If we ever head back to Epic we will definitely be visiting. read more

Excellent, above and beyond service with delicious food! Walking into this place I had very low expectations. I've been to alot of theme parks and most of the food you get in theme parks is very low quality. But I was blown away here! The best part of this experience was the service. Our server was extremely kind and knew the menu like the back of her hand. She gave great recommendations and handled my peanut allergy well. She not only told me which dishes had peanuts, but she also told me which could have the peanuts removed, replaced, or none of the above. When I put my order in of the Beef Xi'an Noodles she personally invited the chef to my table to discuss with me the contents of the dish. He walked me through what could be replaced and I just decided to have the peanut spice completely removed and not replaced, as to make everyone's life easier. After I put in my order the food came out very quickly and even after ordering our server still came frequently to check in on us. My dish was pretty spicy and my server made sure I always had some lemonade to cool my mouth down ! The atmosphere was incredible. The inside was beautifully decorated and very well designed. There were so many little details that really tied the whole place together into a gorgeous restaurant. The bathrooms were regular theme park bathrooms, very large but filled with small stalls and sinks. They were, however, very clean and well themed. The food was so delicious. When I got my meal of the Beef Xi'an Noodles I immediately wanted another serving! The serving size was incredibly large and very fulfilling. With large noodles and a large quantity of well cooked beef, I could barely finish it. The sauce was very flavorful and brought alot to the dish as well, with the stringy beef and flat noodles absorbing a lot of it to make something that tasted like a home cooked meal in a crock pot. My brother ordered the Orange Chicken and my father got the Dragon Fried Rice, and they were very tasty as well. (I would know because I kept picking off their plates!) read more

The prices were a bit high, but that is to be expected for any theme park. The service was good, our waiter was always checking in which was nice. We came on opening day of Epic Universe for dinner and we were not disappointed! Our waiter was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and funny, he really made our experience special. We had the cold noddles to start which were delicious and refreshing on such a hot day. We also had the soup dumplings, the dragon fried rice, and the beef and broccoli at our waiter's suggestion. They were all incredibly fresh and flavorful, it was really a treat. My friends both got the Yuzu Drop cocktail while I had the Dalgona Khaosan Road cocktail for the caffeine pick me up. They were all very well balanced and tasty. Finally, the decor throughout the restaurant was very cool, feeling like a tour around popular food spots through various Asian countries. Overall, the Blue Dragon provided a delicious and welcoming dining experience and is worth a visit on your day at Epic Universe if you have the time. read more

Exceptionally beautiful atmosphere. If only the food we ordered was good. We eat a lot of Asian food and have excellent options in Chicago. This place is a hard pass. The appetizer of Snowflake Potstickers was only reason for 1 star. That and the friendly waitress. We also tried the Korean Wings, which were not edible. They were enormous with too much breading and fried too long or double fried. Could hardly bite into them. The quality of the chicken was poor. Their Smashed Cucumbers were huge sliced cukes, not smashed as described on menu. Big No to taste and consistency. The Dragon Fried Rice which is $15 at home was $33 here and not great. The Chicken Curry Khao was tasty but soupy, very salty and tiring after a few spoonfuls. And yes I had to ask for a soup spoon. How did they expect me to eat it. Waste of $145. Ambiance: 3/5 The interior and exterior of this restaurant goes for a dark, neon aesthetic, with dim lighting and dark colors contrasted against bright neon signs. It's kinda cool, but by the standards of theme park restaurants, it didn't impress me that much. I think it might look better at night; we visited at 4:30 when it was still daylight. Drinks: 5/5 The Jasmine tea was delicious; maybe the best I've ever had. It's not sweet; just regular tea, but it's incredibly aromatic and very flavorful. Probably the highlight of the meal. We also ordered sake; I don't remember which one it was, but it was a very pretty blue color, and it had a nice, smooth flavor. Food: 3/5 We ordered several dishes, and most of them weren't that impressive. The best one was the Snowflake Potstickers, which are dumplings fried in a crispy dough that surrounds them--the "snowflake". These were relatively tasty and had a nice texture, both crunchy and chewy at the same time. The Smashed Cucumbers were also pretty good--a bit too salty for my taste, but still flavorful. Everything else was just okay. The Chili Oil Wontons have a decent sauce, but the wontons themselves are very small and pretty bland. We ordered a handful of noodle and rice dishes as well; none of them were worth mentioning. Overall, this place isn't that great, even compared to other theme park restaurants. Atmosphere: I loved the décor. The lighting pays homage to Hong Kong's iconic neon signs with a modern cyberpunk twist, and the floating lanterns set against a bed of stars were captivating. Along with the traditional Asian-style gates, the aesthetic really worked for me. While it was a bit dim for my personal preference, the low lighting felt intentional and suited the overall vibe. 4.5/5 Food: We ordered the Beef Xi'an Noodles and Mapo Tofu. The noodles were a bit too chewy--seemingly undercooked--and the accompanying sauce felt over-seasoned and overly bold. While the Mapo Tofu was tasty, it lacked the traditional gravy-like consistency I expected. Additionally, the ratio felt off; the dish was overwhelmed by a large portion of rice placed directly on top of the entrée rather than served on the side. I wasn't sure if these were meant to be "reimagined" versions of the classics, but they were a far cry from traditional flavors. Probably best to order something more safer than going for more traditional dishes here. However, the Passionfruit Mooncake for dessert single-handedly saved the meal. I was worried it would have a heavy cheesecake flavor, but I was pleasantly surprised by how light and delicate it was. The acidity of the passionfruit perfectly cut through the richness, and the amount of breading of the exterior provided a great balance. This was my husband and my first time trying a pan-Asian restaurant and, to say the least, it was pretty good and definitely worth trying! The menu is diverse and has something for everybody, even the vegans and vegetarians, or the most selective kids. The atmosphere was remarkable and definitely a night time go-to restaurant! As far as food goes, my husband ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen which he liked and the marinated soft boiled egg was his favorite part--cooked to perfection! Our one criticism for the ramen is that we both felt it could have used more depth of flavor as its flavor profile was nothing too "wow" factor. As for me, I had the Dragon Fried Rice which was absolutely delicious. It was our absolute favorite fried rice by far, having lump crab and shrimp tossed throughout. Side note, they do NOT have any Yum Yum sauce or anything of its likeness so keep that in mind if you normally eat it with fried rice. This was a little disappointing as Yum Yum sauce is kind of a staple in Americanized-Asian cuisine, so it was odd they didn't have it, or at least some kind of side sauce. We also ordered the Korean Wings and this sadly was the most disappointing. I am not exaggerating by saying that biting into these wings felt like biting into a rock. It was our first time trying Korean fried wings but I'm pretty sure the breading shouldn't be that hard to bite through. I genuinely was shocked by how hard it was. It was so hard that the breading would fall off in large chucks leaving nothing left on the wing, and because the sauce was all exterior, the chicken itself was blank without the breading and sauce. While the flavor of the sauce was phenomenal, I would never order these again because of that. The wings were definitely not up to the quality of everything else we tried. Aside from the food, we also ordered the Dragon Tea which would have been really delicious had we had honey for it. My husband and I love hot tea, we brew and drink hot tea several times a week, so we found their selection really exciting. The saddest part, however, is that there is no honey which, again, is odd. I don't know many people who drink tea without at least a little dollop of honey so the fact that it's not an option was really disappointing. The plain tea was just too bitter for our taste and when you pay $11 for a teapot only to not have honey, it feels bad wasting it. All in all this was a great restaurant and I think it deserves the high praise. I'm eager to go back and try other options. For me I hope they consider offering Yum Yum sauce for dipping and honey for tea as these are small inexpensive things that would add to the quality of most people's experiences. read more

The atmosphere is really cool in there. Great theme and everything looks amazing. The food was way overpriced for being so bland and un memorable. It was fine and I know resort food is overpriced but it was a bit over the top overpriced for strip mall Asian restaurant comparable food. The biggest problem was with the bill. We had a party of 8 with 2 families splitting the bill down the middle with gratuity included. The next day we get a notification from the credit card company asking if we left a 100% tip! Called them and the number listed is a general universal resort switchboard number with no option to speak to a human. Spoke to the concierge at our hotel to see if they could help and spent 45 min (OF OUR VACATION) trying to resolve w nothing. In the end it turned out that the other family we split the check with was never charged. Obviously the restaurant screwed up when they split the check, never charged them and to make up the difference put it in as a tip I guess thinking we wouldn't notice! WTF! The crispy orange chicken was fresh, crispy, and delicious. The rice could have used some type of sauce. We asked for a side of sauce to put on the rice. The peanut shrimp noodles were tasty and a peanut cream sauce. We got it without the mushrooms. The coconut was a great addition. Saddest meal ever. Not just bad Asian food, but bad food overall. We ordered the ramen, Korean wings, wontons in chili oil, soup dumplings, and boba tea. They were all disappointing. Ramen lacked flavor depth and the noodles were too soft and mushy. Wontons and soup dumplings were room temperature. Soup dumplings didn't have any soup in them. Wings were overfried, felt like biting into a rock. Boba tea was twice as sweet as it should have been. On the plus side, the restaurant is nicely decorated and the service was good. PF Changs and Panda Express are both better and more authentic than what they serve here. read more

We had a reservation for 12:00 on a weekday and no issues, it was efficient. However, they do cruise ship seating where they put every party in the same section. Everybody is crowded into one corner even though the entire restaurant is empty. Then as it gets busier, they seat another section, and so on. So we were sat next to the loud bus station. We asked to be moved and that seemed to throw a large monkey wrench into the process. They did move us, but only one table away. Made a reservation a week in advance and was asked if there was a special occasion and I checked birthday. Not sure why they ask, they don't do anything special. Wine pours were very small. After spending a day in Epic Universe and devouring Mac and cheese in a cone and other overpriced park food, we needed dinner. We heard about this relatively new restaurant but always weary about Asian food in theme parks. We decided to give it a shot rather than eating hotel food or ordering in a pizza. Great choice. The restaurant was cool and airy. Our server Chase was fantastic and helpful as far as suggestions. I ordered the Ramen. It was good but not comparable to Ramen in authentic Japanese restaurants in the big cities. We also ordered the Dan Dan noodles which was terrific but not spicy enough. Asked for chilli oil to augment the food. I don't recommend the Thai looks as it was only so so. Happy eating , Update: while my review was objective, I find the reply by the restaurant to be puzzling. The response appears to be "form letter" like or generated by an AI bot. Read the various replies to any criticism in the review and you essentially get a similar word for word response with some differences. My view is this lacks authenticity and a personal touch. read more

3 big problems here. They pride themselves on the "food coming out as it's ready," the menu is pricey - $33 for a bowl of rice! And it takes up valuable time. Some in our party got their food literally within seconds. Others waited so long for their dinner, we asked the manager to take them off the bill. This makes sense if we were doing small plates. But we didn't order off the small plates menu. I had high expectations for the $33 fried rice. We were so excited to try it. But it wasn't anything special - it just cost a lot. Epic Universe closes early, just after sunset, so eating at a table service restaurant takes up a lot of valuable time. Next time, I'll do quick service and spend more time in the park. The QS restaurants are all outstanding anyway. This one - not so much. read more

We loved it! I had considered this as our main dining location for a recent trip to Epic, and then afterwards another friend who went the week prior recommended it too, so that sealed the deal. The atmosphere is beautiful - the only thing missing is a little stream or pond running through the center. If you've been to Benihana in Las Vegas at the former Hilton, it's that same look. Very lovely. The food was mostly spot on with a few misses, like odd ingredient choices that left my curry dish feeling a bit lonely and empty compared to what I'm used to back home. That said, I know what to order now, and would not hesitate to return. read more
