Since Palm Beach County was one of the first here in the Southeast to reopen, a very good friend and I started looking for a few brunch places close to the border to stop by and have a real sit-down Brunch. We found Boca Beach House - and almost missed it - because its a cozy little spot. Thankfully she spotted parking (Free Parking even!) right in front and we stopped in. Meghan, the owner, was also our waitress and was telling us how her & her husband own this restaurant, so it was especially nice to support a local small business. Being a few blocks from the beach, Boca Beach House has a chill, northeast shore town vibe. While there was a little bit of a wait, she started us with drinks (mimosa for me and bloody mary for my friend). Even the mimi was nicely potent. Once we were able to get seated on the outside table, I ordered one of my usual brunch savory brunch staples (E.B.) and asked for french toast (instead of the pancakes on the menu.) There are a few doggie paintings for sale in the lobby from a local artist. The eggs were perfectly poached, just runny enough and with a generous serving of tart hollandaise, sitting on a muffin, sizzling Canadian bacon and plenty of home fries & green peppers. I think you should skip the tomato and maybe ask for sliced avo instead of a spread. The hollandaise helped tie it all together but I personally thought I had too much sauce on my plate. The chorizo was a mild spicy and was a full patty not a crumble, which is true to the menu. I opted for fruit instead of home fries or grits. I think I have had my last visit to the restaurant. Usually quite good, I overlook one of the three things that go wrong every time I come here. But this mornings meal was the trifecta. Here are the 3 things that at least one of happens every time I come here: 1) Loud music First off, 8am and loud '90 grunge set the tone. We asked if they could put on some reggae or at least turn it down, they abided. 2) Runny eggs We ordered medium well eggs (gelled yolks-crisp whites) NOT RUNNY with bacon and grits. I told our exactly what I wanted, as this is always the case. I was given 2 runny eggs and bacon at least an hour old. Fine. At this point I'm so hungry and at least Soundgarden wasn't screaming at us. 3) Wrong food came out and noticed by server but we were not alerted. The other order was one seafood scramble (lobster, crab and shrimp.) The server brought out my husbands scramble and walked away. It looked awfully pink, so I asked what was in the eggs, he said "Salmon" ! It was the salmon and caper scramble. We assumed the server didn't notice and called her over to let her know it was wrong. She said, out loud, "I know, but this one is better anyway". She saw it come out of the kitchen wrong, put it on our table and did not alert us or the kitchen. What if there were food allergies? What if our tastes are different than yours? Also, it's not what we ordered. Not worth sending back, but worth not going back. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before a tour at FAU, which is only a few minutes away... cute little place with local flair and seashore vibes. We sat outside since it was perfect weather... I had the lobster and shrimp roll and my partner had an omelette... both were huge portions. The food was good, not the best I've ever had but if I was in the area again I would definitely go back. Yesterday (Monday January 2), my family and I were spending the afternoon in Boca Raton. For brunch, my brother found this place and it was a great find! As we parked behind the restaurant, we noted the city's strict parking time limit as a parking enforcer was patrolling the small narrow lot. He was actually armed, which made me conclude there must've been a violent encounter or a few. Being a couple of blocks from the beach, this lot is definitely coveted by beach goers. So as for the food and the service, they were excellent! We all got one of the Four Egg Scrambles. Mine was the mushroom spinach Swiss, with grits (minus the cheddar). My friend and I visited this restaurant during lockdown cause we really wanted to sit down at a restaurant and no restaurants in Miami offered sit down dining. My friend found this place and so glad that he did. It's a small little restaurant in a strip mall about three blocks from the beach. It has a few outdoor tables that are spaced out in respect of social distancing. The servers were all wearing masks and sanitizing tables after each guest. As for the menu they have a good variety of dishes for different people's taste. I love seafood so I ordered the lobster & shrimp roll & a bloody mary. I don't recall what my friend ordered. I think it was french toast. The bloody Mary was extremely tasty & actually pretty strong. It was actually really cheap too...under $10. That's a lot less than what we pay in Miami for drinks. The seafood roll was actually a really good price too. I think it was $16 maybe. They could've charged $26 in Miami. Well the roll was actually really delicious. It was chock-full of shrimp and lobster with the perfect amount of mayo. It was one of the best lobster rolls I've had and I am a seafood enthusiast. My friend really enjoyed his too. I walked inside for a few minutes and it has a cute laid back neighborhood feel. Very cute & quaint. The servers were all super nice. Afterwards we walked the two blocks to walk on the beach. Hands down the best breakfast in Boca and surrounding areas in our opinion. We sometimes are running errands further north or wherever and think about breakfast joints near wherever we may be- and then say "nahhhhh, Boca Beach House"! Although the menu is extensive with a lot of delicious options, we do find ourselves ordering the Lobster Benedict over and over. I think it even out does Harpoon Harry's and Blue Heavens... but I digress.... We prefer without spinach and tomato and it is like Heaven on earth. The hollandaise and bottomless mimosa and outstanding service from Carly and Orlando - makes this place shine. Both Orlando and Carly go above and beyond to ensure a top notch experience- which is crazy, because it's just a little breakfast spot, but you'd think these two work at the Four Seasons.
