They have no fresh crawfish and it's all frozen so we decided To passed and not order any crawfish. Instead we ordered shrimps, oysters, wings , crab fries, fried shrimps. Services was great with the young staffs serving us. Not too many options for drinks since they don't have a bar. Was very disappointed with no fresh crawfish and food are a little overpriced. I've been to a few crawfish boils in my life but this one tops them all. We got 2 lbs of the Chinese 13 spice and another 2 lbs of the regular. Both were amazing. Shrimp were difficult to peel, especially with gloves on. Once the gloves came off it was game on and they were pretty good as well. Make sure you call ahead, especially with a larger party. We visited for the first time this weekend. I was impressed with the size of the snow crab legs and I appreciated being able to choose the level of spice- garlic butter was perfect for me. The fries topped with crab and Mayo were amazing. Sweet potato fries were plain but that was ok. My husband was less than impressed with the mushy, hard to peel shrimp. The chicken fingers for kids looked like cafeteria food but they didn't complain! Suggestions for areas of improvement: offer wine on the menu and don't charge for condiments. We love ketchup and i have a gluten allergy and can't drink beer (I wish I could!)... margaritas are fun but I'm not always in the mood and that was my only option other than water/soda. None really communicated with each other . Very odd I thought . Slow slow getting the food out and when they did you couldn't catch a single server cause they were too busy . I was looking forward to the gumbo and my two sons who also gat the gumbo . We love our gumbo with sauce and a lot of crackers along with it . Now saying that I know not a big deal right but they don't carry crackers ! What seafood place don't carry crackers you need for gumbo , oysters . Oh yeah with had oysters also . First time at The Boiling Crab and I must say the establishment itself was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was okay. I got the Sha-bang Bang Shrimp and Crab Fries. My expectations were not my reality, I'm not saying that the food was bad but I guess I was thinking cajun/creole but it was giving me more Asian fusion. I think it was the rice that was throwing me off. The shrimp was pretty good, the sauce was spicy but gritty which could have been the spices and seasonings and the rice was sticky. I did like the Crab fries but I could have had just half of the sauce; a bit much. Also, I couldn't understand why they were bringing out the food one item at a time. Now I was with one other person whose food came out first, which was the Shrimp boil with just Shrimp and some potatoes, about 5 mins later my shrimp came out and about 10 minutes after that my fries came, why wasn't everything brought out together?!! I love it here. The boiling crab always fulfills my craving for seafood. It's quite addictive, especially the crawfish when it's in season! (right now in March). My server was Cathy and she was on top of it. She provided all the condiments and tools we need to our table and quickly served us anything we asked for. You can really tell that the manager on duty really cares for her team. She had came and checked up on me along with every single table there. She worked up a small conversation and made sure all of our food exceeded our expectations (she has short hair and two arm sleeve tattoos). While having such a great experience I couldn't help but noticed how the team works so well with each other. Everyone is helping one another and there's always communication amongst them. I really enjoyed it here and I could really feel the family oriented connection with the staff. Overall, the crawfish and snow crab was delicious. Flavor is definitely there. Sorry but I just did not enjoy the fried catfish basket that I shared with my husband. The underside of the catfish was soggy. Probably because they serve it over hot steaming fries? We stopped on in after Hmart in hopes of a great dinner because we missed our seafood buffet at the casino in Durant. We arrived about 630ish on Sunday night Labor Day weekend. We were seated right away and our waiter did a great job. This probably one of the best seafood I've had along with the oysters which were amazingly fresh. The gumbo can use some work though. The decor was nice and the restaurant is clean and orderly. The staff was super helpful... in fact, a bit overly helpful, constantly checking to see if guests are alright. I got the snow crab with all flavors and the Cajun fries, both medium. I went on national margarita day, and as much as I was in the mood for one, I did not want to pay $11 for a "tequila-infused" sake version. The snow crab was very messy to eat with all the flavors. I would highly encourage the restaurant to consider giving guests the option for gloves when asked. That was a turn off for me. The food is always super great here. I had a great experience dinning with my family. We went to eat here for dinner. We all ordered shrimp with different levels of spice. I got Medium, which was perfect enough for it to be spicy but still be able to taste the food. I even tried the XX which has my entire mouth and lips burning, but after the numbing feeling it's pretty good. LOL The only issue I had was with my potatoes the inside of them were still SUPER cold. The Boiling Crab is one of my favorite places to get some good low country seafood. The seasoning they use has great flavor. Yes they leave the shrimp whole, yes they aren't peeled... I've never had it any other way, anywhere in the country. This includes Louisiana. This is how it's always served. And it's delicious! I read some negative reviews about them not having fresh crawfish. If you know anything about crawfish, then you would know crawfish season is from February to May typically. Meaning the rest of the year you would be getting frozen crawfish pretty much anywhere you go. All in all, this place is great and worth a shot. I will be dining here regularly! read more

Overall, I like this place a lot. It is my family's go-to for seafood, especially the Snow Crab legs. I would recommend getting the whole shabang sauce, it's really flavorful.
