The boiling crab does not disappoint. I repeat, they do not disappoint! I was once a server myself and I can't stress enough how important it is for management to get their team in line. We had to wait on a Saturday at around 2PM, the host reassured us that he's allowing the servers to catch up on their current tables to be able to better serve us. So we waited about 15-20 min, got seated and our server approached us just moments after. All of our drinks and side condiments was provided in a timely manner. Once all of our food had came out (which it is made to order and comes out separately) our server, Phillip checked in on us shortly after. He was really sweet and caring. He always seem to know when to check in on us, when we needed something: refills, more lemons, or extra ketchup. Moments after, a manager had approached our table and checked in with us. She was really proactive and hands on with each guests there. She introduced herself as Nhi or "knee" pointed to her knee, which I thought was very clever and funny. Anyway, food was spectacular and service was amazing. As being in the industry myself before, I hate to address any concerns I have with my food but I did mention to the manager that my potatoes weren't hot enough to my liking. She was more than happy to get it replaced, and she had gone and grabbed them herself. Will definitely be coming back next week. read more

We usually go to the other location. This one is lacking....to say the least! Upon hitting the door we were informed that they were out of at least half of the items on the menu. When we did get the menu we had to ask about pricing, everything is listed as Market Price. We went for the crawfish primarily. Locations in this area are charging $8.99 per pound, on average. Imagine my surprise to find out they were charging $12 per pound. I tried calling for 3 days prior, at both locations, with no luck. They never answer their phone! That could have saved us a trip. I have visited the location in Dallas many times and have never been disappointed, so when I heard about the new location, I could not wait. I ordered 2 1/2 lbs of shrimp, 2 lbs of mussels and 1 lb of crawfish in The whole shabang medium. It seemed like everything lacked their delicious sauce, lacked color and not enough garlic. The location in Dallas is very generous with the sauce and when I got home I was disappointed it wasn't the same. I ordered, 2 pounds of crawfish, 2 & a half pounds of shrimp, wings, potatoes, corn, sausage, & garlic butter. We got our food, got home, only half of our order was in the bag...it was close to closing time by the time we got home. I called the restaurant 7 times as I was on my way back up there to get the rest of my food, NO ANSWER AT ALL. all while my father was calling trying to a reach the manager. I got there, & the girl at the window I guess automatically knew who I was bc my dad reached a manager. I waited there for 20 minutes, just to be told the kitchen was closed so they were just going to give me a refund. When I tell you IRATE, I mean livid. My brother and I chose this place for dinner. We got there at about 745 and were informed that they were out of several items on the menu. They did not have a lot of the seafood advertised. They also serve beer and tequila. If you aren't a beer drinker the $10-12 tequila sounded good. They were out of that as well. We took items to go that were under cooked and gave us an upset stomach for days. While the server did the best she could, the fact that they were out of almost everything before 8pm on a week night is rather disconcerting. So happy a new location has opened for The Boiling Crab! i only went to the Richardson location twice a year because the wait was ridiculous every single time!! Now ,with the new location we have ample room & the same succulent, juicy, fresh tasting seafood that Boiling Crab is known for. The Service is excellent & its very clean. My only recommendation is that the building needs a huge lit up sign when coming of the south side of 75. Its pretty dark & unless you know what your looking for , you're likely to just pass right by it. Im sure that would attract a lot more people that don't know about this Gem. No one refilled our drinks until we were about to leave. The food was hit or miss. The snow crab legs were great. The shrimp had a weird mushy texture. I'm very disappointed to have to give this one star review but after the poor hospitality we received tonight I must leave this review. We arrived within 2 hours of closing and were on the waitlist. After slowly moving on the waitlist we decided to check in with the host at 9:25pm to find out the latest we could be seated, as they close at 10pm. At that point he told us we were still 8th in line and their cut off for seating is 9:45pm-- at that point he said we most likely wouldn't be seated (despite several empty social distanced tables available). We then placed a to-go order and asked if we could still sit inside in case there were several no-shows. Unfortunately he said no. At 9:45 we were up in line and still no food, no Togo order or anything and they refused to seat us. They were very Unaccommodating despite several empty tables due to a 10 minute grace period they give people on the waitlist. I would advise you save yourself the headache and go to the original Dallas location. I've been going to the Dallas location for several years and have never experienced this level of uncoordinated and poor customer service. However, for Mother's Day I had Two big separate orders totaling 5 lbs of shrimp, 3 fried fish baskets, 4 lbs of crab legs (all separate bags of course) my crab legs were literally frozen COLD!! I go here roughly about once or twice every week never had an issue and this was just a bad experience, specially being Mother's Day! I was just upset because my family gathered together after this long COVID19 situation to enjoy each other for Mother's Day. Nice venue and build out. Food was decent (liked the other location food better) but very expensive, especially for the stingy portions and simplicity of preparation and service. We tried several different sauce styles and spice levels - all tasted pretty similar and were highly salty. Margaritas were ok but too small and too pricey for what you got. Service was good. Had a near $300 bill with tip for four people- we did have a pound of Alaskan Crab. Left thinking I could have eaten at Bob's for just a little bit more. I really enjoy coming to this location because the service is impeccable and it's a cute place, but the last two times I've had terrible service from the guy in the front (not sure of his name but he is "big-boned"). What sucks about this place is that you can't call to get on the waitlist or even try to get on it thru Yelp because it's closed, so sometimes I drive all the way over here just to be told it's a 2 hr wait. When I ask the front desk guy if I can get on the waitlist he says ok and puts me down yet tells me I'm not guaranteed to get a table. Why would I not be guaranteed a table if I'm on a WAIT LIST? Especially when it's only a table of two. The previous time I came with a friend we got here at least a minute after our seating down time and the guy gave us a nasty attitude and told us he was about to give our table away. I love this place and all but they need to do something with that guy. It makes me less likely to want to come back. read more
