My son went here after he was told he would need new brake pads by a mobile mechanic about 8 months ago. He in fact did not need anything and this shop did not take advantage of a 25 year old kid who knows nothing about cars....instead they were honest and kind and told him everything to do with his brakes were good and didnt even charge for the inspection! 100% this WILL be where he goes when it IS time for brake work!!! I scoped out a few places to get my brakes done, and Luke was hands down the best. Accommodating, honest, and best of all--NO mansplaining. His shop is clean, he's fast, and he really goes above and beyond. While I was waiting for my brakes, one of his other clients stopped by for him to check something, and you could tell right away he's someone people truly trust and rely on. Recently my check engine light came on (outside the scope of the brake work), he still let me bring the car in, scanned it, and reassured me it was just a loose gasket--not anything to worry about. Super!!! I can't recommend The Brake Shop enough! I received a quote at the Nissan dealership service, which was far, so I decided to fix the brake issue locally. Not knowing anything about mechanics, I wanted to fix it at the lowest reasonable cost while doing so safely, since I was selling the car. They checked the brakes right away FOR FREE and gave me a quote, which was much more reasonable than Nissan's estimate. I decided to fix only the critical part, which they agreed to, too, and booked the date right away. I brought my laptop to the waiting area, which is maintained very clean and made comfortable. Occasionally, I run across a Business which far exceeds my expectations. This morning I showed up for my 8:30 AM appointment a little early, and saw a gentlemen working hard cleaning the waiting room floor. When entering the building....I found it spotless. After waiting 15-20 minutes for my trucks brakes to be bled, (my own diagnosis) Luke announced he checked the system and only adjusted the back brakes, which took the "spongyness" out of the brake pedal, so he didn't have to bleed them. Luke also reported finding a small leak in the right rear wheel, which explains the small oil slicking my driveway. Since the leak might be a rear axle seal, (which he doesn't repair) he only wanted me to be aware of that situation. Luke then said there wouldn't be any $ charge today, as he only adjusted the brakes for me. Now I ask you, how many times does that happen to you when taking your vehicle to a repair shop! My brakes are fine and my attitude is even better. I normally do all my own truck and automotive repair, because I don't trust them with just anyone. The Brake Shop is now one of my exceptions. My father-in-law has been going here for years and recommended. We went by and had a brake check done after a different mechanic told us our brakes were dangerously low among many other things. I walked in with no appointment and the guy who greeted me was seriously the nicest guy. He came out right away to look at it and told me that I had 8 to 10,000 miles left on these brakes. Amazing service! I went in because my car started to shake every time I pressed the brakes. I knew it was the rotors and assumed I had to get them replaced. With a little brake inspection from Luke he said I didn't need to replace my rotors yet but only resurface them. I have never met a more honest mechanic ever! The Brake Shop offers you a "no gimmicks" approach up front and Luke, its only employee/owner, does exactly that. I came to Luke for a second opinion on my brakes after a so-called honest mechanic told me I needed all four wheels to be done, including four new discs. I was skeptical so I scheduled an appointment with Luke and he quickly put my car on the lift and showed me that I still had plenty of miles left on all my discs, 8 to 10 thousand miles worth. He also told me that my front discs could be turned, when the time came, rather than having to replace them. He was thorough, patient and even filled up my tires with air. The only down side to Luke is that he doesn't do everything, he's mostly a brake and suspension guy, altho he does work on most 4 cylinder cars for tune ups and the like. Finding a good mechanic can be one of the most difficult things to do when it comes to car ownership, Luke was a wonderful find, and one that was even close to home. By way of history, Luke is the son of Steve, the original owner of the Brake Shop and Luke's dad. Steve has moved on to work on a higher level now, leaving The Brake Shop in Luke's capable hands. I have often found that single owner mechanics can overbook themselves leaving customers waiting, but Lukes seems to have found a balance to that equation that gets the work done and leaves his customers satisfied, just read the other reviews. read more

Yet another 5 star review should tell you something. Took my 2020 Navigator here for screeching and pulsation brakes. Not the front as I thought, the rears, the fronts had plenty of life left. Job done 2 hrs earlier than I expected, labor and parts $$ a great value and cheaper than I estimated. If your vehicle needs brakes this is the go to facility. I made an appointment for a brake job and oil change. Ended up only needing an oil change. They were completely honest and told me that the brakes were good and not ready to replace yet. I was quoted a price on the oil change. I was misquoted on the price, needs 6 not 5 quarts ot oil, but he wasn't going to charge me for it. I gladly paid the difference willingly. People over at The Brake Shop do great work! I had them work on my Acura MDX two separate times - once to replace my brake pads & rotors and another time to fix wheel bearings/hub assembly. I called around to a few nearby auto mechanics and the Brake Shop was comparable, if not cheaper. Luke was very friendly and he even checked back to make sure we were happy with brake service - which we were very satisfied with. Also, I appreciate their honesty as car/wheels had been making a noise that was consistently getting worse. Luke said we only needed driver side wheel bearing replaced. I took my truck in to have the rotors turned and pads replaced. Unfortunately, they couldn't turn the rotors on my dodge as the hub and rotors are one piece. They did look over everything and lubed my calipers. They told me that actually everything looked fine and charged me nothing at all. Luke did a visual inspection and determined I definitely needed the front pads replaced and rotors turned. The rear brakes still have some life in them so no replacement needed at this time. But after inspection, I only needed new back brakes and with a resurface of the front rotors, I was sent on my way for much less than it could have been. Today I made an appointment to fix my brakes since they had been squealing for about 4 months and I assumed they needed replacement. After inspecting my brakes, Luke told me that they were working fine and the squealing could be corrected. I was there for over an hour and was charged a nominal fee. I can't say enough good things about this place. While he was looking at and fixing the loose line on my van he quickly peeked at a walk in's pass out in the lot. He just tries to make everyone happy and he succeeded. Also would not accept payment for tightening a bolt that was loose and adding brake fluid. Also looked at two lines that weren't replaced previously and told me there are no cracks and they don't need to be replaced. The last place we took it to said those needed to be replaced asap.
