Food was subpar - mine came out incorrectly and I politely let my waitress know who took the plate and walked off as if it was a bother. Though I do wish the patio was more covered for summer as they have a great amount of seating out there but it's all on the west side of the building so it's sun central. Service here was phenomenal. Excellent time!!! We frequently attend The Brass Tap in Allen and is our regular go-to whenever we want to watch a game out (or don't want to cook). The Prosper location has lived up to the one in Allen, and even surpassed it with the outside seating and ability to open up the walls to the outside. Special shout-out to Justin - simply put...he rocks! He is the reason my wife and come to the Brass Tap as much as we do in Allen. Always makes us feel welcome and like family - truly takes an interest in his patrons, shows passion in what he does and pride in how he manages the bar. We may be losing him to Prosper, so we'll just have to split our time between locations! The food was great when we visited and the Boom Boom Shrimp and Wings are a favorite. The burger with the pork belly is amazing as well. We especially liked a couple new things on the menu... 1 - The corn dip was bar food at its best. 2 - Brussels sprouts were a great clean alternative to the other fried sides you find at bars. Not over fried or smothered in syrupy sauce like other places...just good clean greens. The bartenders were very knowledgeable on the beers and made great recommendations (which I took). Very lively atmosphere and just felt like one big party. Lastly, they have new wireless devices that allow the wait staff and bartenders to settle your bill on the spot, rather than disappear with your card. I visit this location every week for a business networking event. The staff is so friendly it makes me want to stay longer, so I have a lunch meeting here every week because I want to be in a place like this to eat and meet with people. They have a great shrimp basket that is my go to favorite, have tried so many of the great beers on tap, as well as the whiskeys. Have not had a bad one yet. This staff should be the trainers of restaurants around the country, because they have taking care of me the customer down. Stopped in for a casual Friday night dinner. The inside was pretty cool and trendy. Unfortunately it was too hot to sit on the patio, so everyone was inside making it pretty loud. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We ordered the Blueberry Bourbon Smash and an Old Fashioned to drink and the All American Pub burger and LA Kogi Dog. The burger was pretty average, but still good. The crinkle cut fries were good, reminding us of Cane's. The Dog had a unique flavor, but was a little too intense towards the end. Really glad we stumbled across this place. It has a long bar facing dozens of taps, a dining area, and an enclosed outdoor space. There's tvs all along the walls with a larger screen in the dining area. Beer selection is extensive and the bartender was really cool about giving you a taster before ordering something new. We ordered the sirloin nachos and were honestly surprised at how good they were. They had a great amount of cheese, steak, and fresh jalapeños. We also had some dry rub wings which were pretty good too Service was great. We'd definitely come back again for some beer and nachos and to try the burgers or tacos. read more
