I visit this location every week for a business networking event. The staff is so friendly it makes me want to stay longer, so I have a lunch meeting here every week because I want to be in a place like this to eat and meet with people. They have a great shrimp basket that is my go to favorite, have tried so many of the great beers on tap, as well as the whiskeys. Have not had a bad one yet. This staff should be the trainers of restaurants around the country, because they have taking care of me the customer down. I have been going to the Brass Tap in Allen for quite a while and was worried about another Brass Tap opening so close. I shouldn't have worried at all. Everyone from the Manager, Justin, to some of the staff, Jen, Janelle, Travis, and Randi, (and to many more to mention) were great. From a nice friendly greeting when you entered to staff walking by your table and saying hello, the atmosphere is great. Food menu is a little different from Allen but that is a good thing, now there is a reason to visit both. 80 beers on tap, and another 100+ in bottles/cans make sure you have plenty to choose from. If you get overwhelmed ask anyone there (including customers, everyone is friendly) what they recommend. Also make sure to ask about the Brew Crew. The location is north of 380 in Prosper, has a good sized patio, and lots of tables. Bright and sunny, which was my only minor complaint when the sun was going down. My husband and I tried The Brass Tap for the first time tonight via DoorDash (because, you know, quarantine ) and it was incredible. We only live about 7 minutes from the restaurant but the food was still hot and our fried food wasn't soggy like I imagined it'd be. We always split a few things when we try a new place so we can taste more of the menu. We split the Korean BBQ Nachos, the Dip Em Shrimp, the Brussel sprouts side and the steak sirloin sandwich. It was all amazing. Only one suggestion - we're HUGE Brussel sprouts people. While these were roasted to perfection and had decent at-home flavor, I think I restaurant of this caliber could play around with more interesting flavors Otherwise, I can't wait for the dining room to open again. My wife and I visit the Brass Tap with our two daughters almost monthly. I just have to say the food and service is always on point. Sometimes we get a bunch of apps to share. I can say we love the wings (buffalo and Cajun dry rub). We've enjoyed the nachos, and my youngest loves the pretzel with cheese. Came here for dinner tonight after reading all the great reviews on Yelp. First off, in response to others' reviews, some (all?) of the window shades are up now. While it was sunnier by the west wall of windows than other places, it definitely didn't seem to be terrible. Great selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Do they really put out a new, dated beer menu every day? If so, that's cool. I didn't count all the beers, but there's a lot. Hundreds. By the time you drank your way through all of these, they'd all know you, and it'd be, "NORM!" or in my case "MIKE!!!" whenever I walked in the door. With selection comes price as several were over $10, and not all are in pints. To each his own, I guess. Having a hard time making a decision, I went with an old standby in the Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout. When in doubt, you can't go wrong with this one. I ordered the double jalapeno cheeseburger, which was fantastic. The patties are decent size but a little thin, so unless you're literally not hungry at all, you may very well want the two patties as I did. I subbed tots for fries because seriously, tater tots rule the world. Democrat, Republican, who cares! Tots 2020, baby! I also added a side Caesar salad. For $3.50, this thing was huge and had great flavor. Very good deal. My wife went with the Sweet Heat BBQ Bacon burger, holding the bacon, because that's what she does, and with the Impossible patty, which she said was very good. Kids had the Sirloin Steak Sandwich and chicken tenders. Sandwich was good, although unlike other sandwiches that have sliced meat, this one was one big slab. Tender and good, but different from others she's had. She liked it but wants to try other things next time. Chicken strips were fine...not necessarily the best, but we've had worse. If you're seriously looking for chicken tenders, not sure you're coming here anyway...unless you need something to stuff your pie hole with after drinking a few hundred beers. Side of Brussel sprouts, served with what I think were roasted red peppers was also good. She ate almost all of them. Service was cheerful and fine. There's lots of other stuff on the menu that looked good, and driving north into Prosper is a nice switch from always tooling around Frisco. We'll be back. read more

We had been to the Brass Tap in Roanoke and had such a great experience, but unfortunately the food at the Prosper location missed the mark. The restaurant was nice and clean, and service was good...but the food quality was not the same. Salsa was totally different (Prosper location tasted like it was from a jar). The grilled chicken salad was no where close to the one in Roanoke. Chicken was dry and tasteless and sat on a bed of greens with essentially nothing else in the salad. I'm not sure why the food would be so much different than another location? Disappointing. read more

We just left without actually eating for the second time. The first time the restaurant refused us service because of a private party. This time, the service was just bad. We perused the menu and gave our drink order. Our server then jumped on a large party to take their drink and food order without giving our order to the bar. We waited a while and finally just left. What a great little bar! It is really nice inside and well maintained. It's pretty big inside with a patio and bartop. They also don't just serve beer! Sometimes you're just over that beer feeling and want a cocktail. I had an awesome berry bourbon drink that I have not been able to recreate. Our service was great, and the food was pretty good. And not just pretty good for a bar. I ordered the impossible burger, and my husband and I shared the chips and dip. Both were solid. The bartender had me taste a beer that was exactly what I was looking for. The wings are very tasty and good quality. The side salad is very large and only $3.50. The place has been really busy... Thats a good thing. As a fan of many beers (which they have a lot of) they definetly know what they are doing/serving. The staff has was really experienced and attentive to your needs. I have not tried the food but they have a good mix and it all looked really good. Good sized patio that should get some sun, a lot of flat screens for sports, and plenty of tables. As a Prosper resident, I will definitely be back (regular). read more

So far, so good. On my first visit here (on a week night) it was pretty empty, maybe 8 parties seated throughout and no one at the bar. After 9pm, it promptly got busier. I had a house Cabernet and a side of fries. Both I felt were decently priced and tasted about what a decent cab and peppered fries should taste like. But what I enjoyed most was the customer service and the atmosphere. TV's and sports provided an easy and laid back place to relax. The bar tender was casual, yet energetic and did a great job interacting with different customers and matching the mood, rather than one tempo fits all. It's clean and simplistic. Doesn't feel "divey" at all. The rest of the staff that I had limited interactions with were friendly and acknowledging. The biggest plus for me was there was so no obnoxiously loud music!
