This was a wonderful breakfast spot in Ashland! Excellent food, good portion size. The Chicken fried steak was tender and deliciously pan fried. The side potatoes were perfectly seasoned. The pumpkin walnut pancakes were moist and delicious... Very large! I could only eat one. The customer service was excellent, drinks were always full and staff was quick. We were seated and served food within 20minutes on a Sunday morning. There wasn't one thing about that meal I can complain about. read more

The breadboard has always been a favorite of mine as I've lived in Ashland for a long time. I paid the friendly staff a visit today for the first time in a while and I was not disappointed. In fact I was very impressed with the young man bussing tables. I sat on the sunny deck and ate the mountain man. 10/10 would recommend. My props to the kitchen and wait staff. read more

My teenage son digs in with traditional heavy breakfast plates of pancakes, sausage and eggs while I prefer the Ashland Scramble or the amazing veggie Benedict! A fun place to go for breakfast. Menu is very imaginative and food well prepared. Wait staff is happy, friendly and efficient. Obviously many locals go here as well. We went early and had no problem getting in but by 9:15 on Saturday in October it was filled - so get there early or be prepared to wait. read more

I have tried the waffles, cooked to crispy perfection topped with sweet, fresh strawberries and my ultimate favorite is the biscuits and gravy! Love the sage flavor! Their omelets are huge! Each meal is something you can share with someone. I rate this high on my list of Ashland restaurants! If you eat breakfast here, you won't need lunch. It's the perfect breakfast/brunch place! Sit outside on the patio and the view is amazing! Great, quick service. Henry was our server and he's very friendly and pleasant. The food was tasty. We went yesterday to check it out. Being new in town, we haven't found a great breakfast spot, until now! Our waiter was super nice, and we had constant attentiveness to whether or not we needed anything and if everything was good. Horrible! I ordered the B.L.T. and it came out literally 2 minister after I ordered it-was it pre-made? The bread wasn't even toasted and the mayonnaise was so heavy it was dripping off the bread. I also ordered thier beef and vegetable soup and there was one good price of meat, the rest was fat and my soup was warm. I didn't complain as I was with my 3yr old and didn't seam appropriate. I did order a small Mocha and it was good. The sandwich was served with cheap tortilla chips that were not good and a pickle-my total was $18....what? read more

I've enjoyed going to the Breadboard for several years and ordering the Mountain Man Jr. Today when I got it, it had very little gravy and practically no cheese on it. I asked the server for more gravy and she brought about a tablespoon more in a ramekin. For which I was charged 80 cents. Server didn't tell me I'd have to pay extra. It seems that this place has gotten very chintzy, especially when you consider that you are paying $10 for one egg, one biscuit, a sausage patty, and gravy. I won't be back. Morning Glory is much better anyway. read more

Very delicious food, great service, good prices/plate sizes, cozy feel & despite being busy we still were seated & served quickly. We got pancakes, biscuits & gravy, & a ham scramble w/ homers & a biscuit. Everything exceeded our expectations. Very good flavors & fresh tasting foods. I will say that it's traditional (or maybe 'simple') in style, despite depth of flavors & quality of ingredients! Very very good. Randomly found this place during my first visit to town. I have gone back every time I'm passing through. Great menu, staff, food always seems to come out quick and hot! Parking has always worked out, but I do believe I've been there during off-peak hours. They kept the coffee cup full and always came around to see if we needed anything else. Try the bacon (thanks to another yelp review), it was great. They also make fresh Marionberry every day. Loved it so much, I wanted to put it on everything and needed to take some home (small complaint here, it was a little costly...but it was made fresh). Though the food is ample, and creative... you *will* wait for a table. The staff is friendly and efficient, but be forewarned: if you have a party of five or larger a gratuity is automatically added to your check w/o much fanfare or forewarning. As there is a total below, then the usual place for an "additional tip" the conversationally involved or momentarily distracted could easily leave a 20+ percent tip. When restaurants have this kind of policy, I personally expect "in you face" disclosure - to avoid the perception that a quick buck is being made through deception. My wife and I ate here twice in the last week; once on the way to CA and once on the way home. We both love the place! The wait staff is very friendly and efficient; there are plenty of options on the menu and everything we had was awesome! The Marionberry muffins were over the top good! YUM!! We were there at breakfast both times, but I'd feel confident the lunches are as good as their breakfasts were. The restaurant is now on our Garmin as a favorite for our trips south. read more

They sent me a gift card for $25 since I got regular pancakes last time I was there instead of the gluten free ones. How nice! But the same waitress that's always there didn't take our order until we'd been waiting at our table for 25 minutes! There was only one other table full near us since it was a week day. They shouldn't try to do interesting sounding food if they're going to be bad at it. The Calico Special was just bad. The tomato slices were cold and nasty grainy pink tomatoes. Keep in mind it's late July in an agriculturally productive area of Oregon. There's no excuse for that kind of tomato! Maybe I'm a bit spoiled and maybe I thought it was something it's not. I would go back and order something basic that they probably couldn't screw up. My boyfriend had the Homefry Meal and it was pretty tasty. This please has great breakfast. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Their Marion berry jam is so good, and you can buy it to go. I love sitting on the patio in the sun (they have umbrellas so you don't get too hot).
