The food was great and so was the service Mireya was our server and she was very sweet from the second we walked in the door. We got the Charcuterie board to share and it was perfect for two people everything on there was perfect. Was looking for something new and local to Oceanside and here it is!

Was in the area and never been to the breakfast Mug. I definitely will be back. I ordered the eggs Benedict with cooked spinach instead of the English muffin. Met the owner and was very cool. Come check them out!

First time here , figured we would try it since we were in the area . Walked in and it's fairly a basic setup . Nothing interesting about the dinning area , it did appear clean and tidy . The good : Service was decent , the server was friendly but looked like there was only one server on hand so drinks took a little bit to get . Now on to the bad : Drinks came out , I suggest you don't order the Chai brûlée .. it looked much better than it tastes and I usually love Chai drinks . The other drink the caramel one was better but no wow factor there either. Received hash browns , eggs, bacon and Nutella French toast . The only thing hot was the eggs. The Nutella French toast did not taste fresh . It was more like the frozen French toast you buy at the store , and for the amount it costs, I could do better at home . The ugly : my hash browns had a hair in them, and not just on top, like really meshed into them . I didn't even take a bite , at this point after one bite of egg and one bite of French toast and hairy hash browns we were ready to leave . The server was the best part of this restaurant, he apologized and only charged us for our drinks . Super nice , yes I left him a tip for his service , definitely not for the food . Tip to our server : your a good server , you should change jobs where the taste of food reflects your efforts . We will not be back and I do not recommend this place to eat . It's one thing for pictures and food to look yummy , it's super disappointing when the food that looks yummy is actually quite not .

The Country Breakfast. Grilled duck breast. Pork patty sausage. Biscuit and gravy. With hash brown side. Yummy.

Always looking for a great breakfast spot. This place checked all the boxes. Delicious, Friendly, Clean and half a lot of choices on their menu. I was intrigued by the duck breast option and ordered that with the biscuits and gravy. It was really good. The very definition of "comfort food" Omar was really friendly and super quick with the service. Can't wait to come back to try the other menu options. Support this cool local business.

Great breakfast. Very clean. Had the veggie Benedict and my husband had the omelet. Both were great!

Came here after a particularly bad morning where the power went out as I was making breakfast. The staff was so kind and greeted me with a special of the day, which was a delicious soup. My breakfast was amazing - biscuits and gravy - the only thing I'd say is the potatoes could have been a little more crispy but that is a personal preference. The whole place is adorable and cozy, but what really set this place apart was the attentive and prompt service - everything came out so quickly and my morning was really turned around. Awesome experience!

Went on a Sunday afternoon for brunch and there was no wait. They were out of smoked Salmon so my bf opted for the meat lovers omelet which he said was tasty. I ordered the strawberry waffles and they were delicious even without syrup. I'd definitely go back. The staff was friendly and the bathroom was clean.

Crispy Chicken & Waffle - just a chicken pattie

The Breakfast Mug is a hole in the wall, a-okay breakfast spot. Nothing fancy, terrible diner, service, and fine food. It's the kind of place you bring your wife you've been married to for 10 years and not a girl that you're dating. You can sit inside or outside on the patio. even though I love chicken and waffles, I wouldn't recommend getting that as the chicken is more of like a ground up patty that's fried. Very basic here, no creative farm fresh thoughts. I think I've made my point but it's fine.

The hours are great, the space is clean and inviting, and the matcha was okay. One thing I found a little odd: they bring your food to the table, but not your drink. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. I came here twice in a row because I couldn't stop thinking about the lemon basil burrata toast. The first time was incredible which loaded with toppings and full of flavor. The second time looked noticeably lighter on the burrata and basil. Maybe it was an off day, because I know how good it can be. Overall, I'd still come back. The matcha was good enough, the toast was good enough to bring me back immediately, and despite the slightly curated "everyone here is working on a startup" vibe, the food was worth the visit.

She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely present, checking in at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. What shined was his care and attention to detail, especially when it came to accommodating my allergies. He made a point to ask questions before taking action, ensuring that everything was handled safely and thoughtfully. I appreciated how realistic and transparent he was about what could and couldn't be modified, which helped build trust and made me feel more at ease navigating the menu. His professionalism and awareness were evident throughout. Drea also made a strong impression with her calm and reassuring presence.
