Here weekly for that iced Ube Latte and Ube brownie. Their ube is home-made (unlike most spots), so it's not overly sweet or unnatural tasting at all, and it also doesn't stain your teeth. The iced Banana Q Latte is my next go-to drink. Owners are the sweetest people and active in the community. They also have a mobile van that can pull up to events. Ample parking, and outdoor seating only. Restrooms are available inside the 5.11 building. read more

They're open Sundays! I was so excited to see they were open today because on Yelp it says they're closed on Sundays and I've been wanting to try this place for a long time now! This cart was very cute and the parking lot had ample parking. We were the only customers there so we ordered and received our drinks quickly. I loved that there was some outdoor seating which was pet and family friendly, since it was outside. I ordered the ube latte and my sisters ordered the matcha cream top with strawberry. I didn't particularly care for either drink. The ube drink did not provide sweetness and the espresso taste also felt muted. The matcha with strawberry was a little too sweet for my liking. I loved the presentation and service. My niece had the blue drink which was customized for her since I think the original version had caffeine, so that was great! read more

As a banana latte lover, I liked it but didn't like the taste of the espresso and was disappointed there was no banana puree like the other local coffee shops. Oceanside now has a new Filipino café. Dayon Coffee Co is a small, family owned coffee cart that is located just north of the 78 highway and near the building of 5.11 Tactical. Because Dayon Coffee is operating out of a yellow coffee cart, they are situated within a rarely used parking lot, and you must look for their yellow flags by the road entrance. They have managed to create a nice atmosphere with some chairs and tables and will soon be adding some fencing and other decorations to make it cozier. The service is friendly and they have patience with all my inquiries. Dayon Coffee Co serves many delicious Asian and Filipino inspired flavors on their menu. They are known for having Ube pastries & coffee, as well as Matcha and other unique flavors for their lattes. They also have a variety of lemonade drinks, and they also have the capability to order online and a reward program. I recommend their seasonal special drink known as "The Dirtbag", which contains a flavorful blend of Oreos and Ube. Surprisingly, customers even have access to use of the restrooms that are located in the 5.11 Tactical store that is in the same parking lot. My husband and I were driving by for ever on the daily and we finally decided to check it out. I'm so glad that we did! As soon as I saw Ube and matcha on the menu I was immediately sold and knew we would have to be regulars. First of all, our barista was so genuine and kind! She explained everything about how they create their drinks and gave options and ideas on creating our own. Although they were out of a few syrups, she gave us great alternatives! Just means we will have to go back to try the other options too. I ordered the Ube milk tea with a matcha cold foam top. We were told it wasn't super sweet and we received the suggestion to add in strawberry syrup and it was all delicious! I will say that it was sweet enough for me without the strawberry syrup, but I typically do my milk teas with 25% sweetness and don't always add sweeteners to my matcha either. Overall though it was absolutely delicious! Just as yummy as it looked. My husband ordered the Ube latte and doesn't like very sweet coffee so he opted to add no syrups and he loved it. His latte was so good just as is, for us both. There are some seating options next to the cart and plenty of parking in the share lot with 5.11. We can't wait to go back more often to try everything as the drinks look so good! read more

Dayon coffee co, Pop-up cafés can be a fresh and interesting concept for customers, but unfortunately the drinks here weren't very impressive. I ordered the ube drink with matcha foam. Ube is one of my favorite flavors, but this one didn't taste fresh. The matcha foam was okay, but nothing special. Sitting outside and watching cars pass by was actually quite nice and refreshing. The price of the drinks felt a bit high compared to other nearby cafés, especially considering the quality wasn't anything standout. I was excited to check this place out with my coworkers. Unfortunately, I got the Hojicha latte with almond milk and was very disappointed. When it came out, I was confused because the color was lacking. It looked like it didn't have any Hojicha mixed in the milk? But there actually was some because I saw remnants of the powder. Maybe they got the ratios messed up? The Hojicha lattes I'm used to have a dark brown hue. Also, prior to ordering, I asked the girl if it would be sweeten and she said yes.... I don't think they added any sweetener either. I was straight up drinking an $8 iced milk. My coworkers weren't that pleased with their matcha drinks either. Cute pop-up here in Oceanside. I called to verify before driving since it's far from me but they didn't pick up. They said to text but no one replied within that 20 minute drive of mine. They close at 3 and I arrived at 2:15 pm but they ran out of 2 flavors already (ube and macadamia nut). It would've been my top choices but didn't get to taste it at all. They also don't have any pastries. Like 0 of the 5/6 options. I ended up trying the salted caramel latte and the flavor was underwhelming. As much as I wanna try this spot again, idk if the other flavors are gonna be underwhelming as well. :( I give it 1 star for the cute look and another 1 for such promising flavors. If I see others commenting of improving and being more flavorful, I will come by again to check it out and put an update. By then, I'd hope though that they have all their flavors as advertised until closing time. read more

I ordered a matcha latte with vanilla syrup and matcha cream top, and was pleasantly surprised! Matcha was made to order using traditional whisk method and wasn't too sweet. Cream top paired perfectly with the matcha. Dayon is a small food stall in the parking lot but had a cute setup with small tables and umbrellas. Parking was very easy, and service was friendly - they even gave us a free ube cookie while waiting for our drinks. This just might become my go to matcha spot in oceanside. Passed by Dayon Coffee stand so many times on our way to work and finally decided to stop in today! It's a small family-run spot parked over by 5.11, and its a neat little place to stop in for your morning fix. I got the Spanish iced latte and it was 100% amazing. The foam was creamy with the perfect sprinkle of cinnamon on top, not sugary/syrupy at all. LOVED it. My husband went with the ube latte after a friend recommended it, and he loved it, I snuck a sip and fully approve of his choice. Both drinks really hit the spot and tasted high quality! Plus they have a rewards card that you can stamp every time you get a drink. We are super lucky they set up shop so close to us. They're also at the Sunday Fish Market in Oceanside Harbor and the Sunset Market, which is great because now we know we can grab their drinks at our favorite weekend spots too! Made it point to stop and try this new to me coffee trailer as most of us are all about supporting small business vs corporate. I opted for the macadamia but latte, iced, with oat milk while also grabbing an ube bread. The owner, I assume, mentioned that the bread is made with real ube which got me excited.
