First I want to start by saying that I really wanted to like this place more than I did but unfortunately some things were just odd. We came in on Mother's Day and the staff was more than kind time was just as quoted which was really nice. We expected a bit of wait and there was one to order. I was planning to get an omelette but everything said house sauce. I don't know about you but I sometimes like to know what I'm eating. It started with the house sauce I asked what it was. The waitress said she didn't know...odd... I then asked whether it was spicy or a salsa or something like that just in case it was something I don't eat. She said she'd check. She came back and said the chef won't tell me it's a secret recipe. Ok more odd. I had it put on the side. Seriously could have explained it was a type of "fill in the blank (cream, salsa, cheese, fruit, meat) sauce." By the way the sauce was fine. Nothing special in my opinion but some sort of cheese/cream sauce. The the biscuits and gravy came and well as you can see from the picture...not appetizing. It did not taste good either. Food was simple but delicious. I had the Traditional Breakfast with hash browns and toast. The eggs were steaming hot and not dry at all like some other places. The hash browns were so good and crispy on top. The bacon was perfect, too! My husband got the Ranchero Eggs and really liked it as well. We both finished all of our food which is rare for me. They give you the perfect sized portions here. Not like some other places where you get massive portions that you end up wasting. The staff was also super friendly and attentive. I have heard great things about The Breakfast Mug and finally found a time when I was awake and able to go to breakfast. On arrival we stood by the door for a while waiting for someone to seat us. There were no employees around and after giving them time to come out we had to go looking for someone. The server was behind the wall playing or texting on her phone. She was apologetic and come out right away and sat us. I was really excited about the menu choices, many of the items sound amazing. My husband ordered the banana flambe French toast and it was really good. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and unfortunately it wasn't the best. The biscuits were tiny and the gravy was a strange consistency and had no flavor whatsoever. So overall I would say this is an average breakfast restaurant. read more

We probably shouldn't have tried this place on Memorial weekend. There isn't much seating inside and/or outside the place. The estimated wait given of 35 min was actually almost an hour. Once we got seated we noticed the bunches of gnats on the window seal. That definitely grossed us out and we wanted to get our food fast and leave. We placed our order and our food was out in 10 min. We ate as fast as we could just to get out of there. Waffle sandwiches were good. Not really worth the wait of 45 min-1hr. Don't think we'll try it again. read more

This was such a great stop for breakfast. Way friendly staff...warm greeting and seated right away. We split the Fab's Spicy Melt Three scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, grilled onions, and chipotle sauce served on toasted sourdough bread. It was delicious. Their salsa topped it off very nicely. Took my boys here this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. For starters the service was incredible. The staff were so attentive and engaged with our table. We waited over 30 minutes to get our food, and they only brought out half the tables food, waited another 10 minutes just for my other two friend's plates to get brought out. I had the breakfast sandwich which came on a warm and toasty Shibata roll, with plenty of eggs meat and cheese inside. The avocado, and the aïoli that came on it was nothing short of spectacular. Do you like crispy hot hashbrowns? This is not your place! More like microwaved rubber potatoes. This place apparently is known for breakfast...no idea why. The old avocado served on top of my san diego omelet and my son's burger was old and brown from sitting to long. The onions were barely cooked in my omelets. Terrible cook. Or maybe they don't have a grill? I felt bad that the servers had to serve this terrible food with a straight face. Great service, but, I came for a great breakfast and did not get that! After passing this establishment on an everyday drive, I finally decided to try... starving I pulled over in the parking lot 3/1 to order my food online @ 9:45am. After reviewing photo, unfortunately online ordering was turned off at the time so walked in and place my order. The hostess at the front took my order and I waited in my car. About 10 mins later my food (biscuits& gravy w/ eggs "extra crispy bacon" and hash browns". The gravy tasted sweeter than I assumed (being from the south) but that wasn't the main issue my biscuit was throughly cooked I could taste the uncooked yeast in the middle.. No biggie , I instead tried to mix all of my food together to make it more of a crunch.. which tasted better but didn't make my stomach feel well. At that point, I decided that I would just eat the side of bacon I purchased... It looked delicious but after biting it I could tell it had been precooked and sitting for hours (food heat lamp) ... I couldn't force myself to eat anymore so I walked back to the front door.. The gentleman outside saw me walking back with my food and he asked was everything I ok. I told him my issue and he said he would get the manger but instead showed back with the hostess that took my order. I, then told her the same and she responded the same stating she had to get the manager. At that time, she asked what would I like to do and I told her I wasn't sure that I was starving and wanted to look at the menu again... she hesitated to had me a menu but did slowly, smiling and left to get the manager Once the manager walked up I explained to him my issue. He rolled his eyes and begin trying to find my order and I continued to tell him my bacon tasted like grease, he then said "you know bacon is grease right?" I said I'm aware.. and he huffed , so I said you know that's an insult and began to ask him what was his name and he replied Omar, I'm the owner too. What's yours? I'll be waiting to respond to your review. At the moment I was completely thrown off because I've never had a professional say such a thing to me nor would I do that to my customers. So I asked did he need my card to refund me cause he couldn't find my order and he says did you pay with cash or card .. so I respond card that's why I asked you that. He then says I need the her (hostess) to find your order. He went to the kitchen and found it and came back with my refund.. as he was gone I was taking pics of my food and he came back saying I hope you got your pictures for your review... which again through me for a loop, again surprised he said I will be waiting to respond.. I then told him that he customer service sucks and he begins to follow my outside saying do you have a business and I told him yes, actually multiple and he then replied how long .. I said why does that matter, I'm sure it's better than this. I look (10+) years younger than I am so I told him you think you can get over because I look young... Given this interaction, I felt uncomfortable and disrespected. As a customer, I expect a professional and courteous experience. Unfortunately, this experience prevents me from recommending this restaurant to others. on. Update: that's not my review so thanks for showing yourself. You haven't disagreed to any of my other complaints. I don't find this funny at all but great that you're showing your professionalism online. Delicious! Had the veggie benedict and it was phenomenal. Got the hash browns as a side and they were the best I've ever had - not too oily, but thin and delicious. The servings were quite large. I really appreciated that the coffee and tea were organic, and several of the ingredients in the food were organic as well.
