I have been eating at The Brickery since it opened and have always enjoyed the food so much. I think it's awesome that the small town of Jackson has a local restaurant with a brick oven! I mean you can't talk about the Brickery without at least mentioning the pizza gets cooked in the brick oven. We have always had a gorgeous crust on our pizza and Strombolis with that tasty brick oven char. Over the years, I have tried the pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. The pizza and pasta are made in house and the portions for the pasta are quite big so I always have leftovers. My family always gets a Stromboli to share (a pretty good size for 2 adults and a small child), but I also enjoy the lasagne as well as the meatballs. Our toddler loves the meatballs, and we share those as a meal occasionally since they are a great size and a great price (appetizer). My husband really likes the french dip sandwich and I like the Swiss melt. I really don't mean to be "that person" because ... it's a salad .... BUT... the Caesar salad is so good and the size of the salad is big. Always crispy and refreshing with an appropriate amount of dressing! Not too much and not skimpy. The food was truly a chef's kiss. The wood-fired pizza oven gave the pizza incredible flavor, and the pasta salad was easily the best I've ever had. Delicious but greasy. The customer service was not bad but weird. We went in the front door only to see a sign that said go to the other door but only to be seated in the area where we already were. The cheese sticks had a good cheese pull to it and I liked that they seasoned the bread. Really good seasoning. The pizza was also really good and cheesy but it had a lot of grease. The salad was good can't really mess that up though. Pepperoni pizza was ok, sausage was shaped like pepperoni and didn't really taste like real sausage. I couldn't finish it upset my stomach. Pizza was very greasy and I much like Costco pizza. I definitely like Costco pizza better. Service wasn't too bad, she seemed to forget to stop by every once in a while. Comfortable restaurant and if the pizza was better I would return, however I will pick Johnnys pizza any day. I really wanted to like this place, unfortunately I do not suggest eating their pizza. The waitress was nice and attentive. We had pizzas, wings, meatballs, and salads. The large house salad was huge and fresh. One person added salmon to their salad. The salmon was cooked nicely. The meatballs were a good size but were pretty salty. Their marinara sauce was good as well as the wings. The pizza was cheesy and cooked in a large pizza oven. Sauce was good. It's hard to find a good homemade meatball around here, and these were certainly not, but for the kids, it worked. Pasta was perfectly cooked, shrimp (fra diavolo) was plump, salad is made with spring mix. I think we were supposed to get garlic bread, but I couldn't have muscled it anyways. Their menu says they make their calzones with ricotta cheese but all they use is mozzarella. If they don't want to use ricotta, they should remove it from their menu. Calzones should always be made with a combination of ricotta and mozzarella. They also undercooked my Calzone. I wish I could give a better review, but this was not what I was looking for. read more

We got the Buffalo chicken pizza and a wedge salad. The wedge salad was great and came with a ton of bacon and the blue cheese dressing was good, which I appreciate. The pizza was ok but not really my style of pizza. I prefer a more charred Neapolitan style but not bad for what it is. I will say that some of the staff acted like they hated being there, Not many friendly faces when walking in. Not rude by any means but just not very welcoming. I did speak to a older woman that made sure I had been helped, she was pleasant. I went back a second time and tried to get another wedge salad a few days later but they were out of them at like 4pm. We are transplants from the Northeast and were so excited to find a place that served quality Italian food in our local area. However, between the $5 increase on food items, the price discrepancy between the online menu vs. the online ordering menu, and the degrade in quality- we will not be returning. ordered the chicken parmesan, fried zucchini, & cheese bread to go. cheese sticks were literally old and stale, chicken parm had so much water sitting at the bottom of the togo bowl i had to physically drain it out. sauce was tasteless and covered with a mountain of cheese that overtook the entire dish. quite literally the worst pasta i've ever had. fried zucchini was really good, they just forgot my side of ranch with it so it was dry without it. can't speak about the service or ambiance because we ordered it togo. probably won't be coming back here because the pasta and bread were literally disgusting. dinner in the trash tonight. read more

We were vendors at the farmers market and was starving at the end of the day. So we we came to eat, she ordered the chicken bacon and ranch sandwich, said it was just ok, I ordered the angus 1/2lb hamburger. 1st, no way was it close to being a 1/2lb, 2nd it was so over cooked and dry and the fries, well not much to mention there either. The burger was cooked as if it was a poorly prepared smash burger. First and last time I order this again, IF we come back to eat, that's a big if. I would give them zero stars but it's not an option. Is it me or are the prices higher and the food quality getting worse. The service on the other hand, incredibly low. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST RESTAURANT ON THIS PLANET! The service is terrible, the food is overpriced for simple "okay" food, and the owner/operator's doesn't care at all, and your business is not appreciated one bit!! Let's start with the service...the waitress didn't even ring up what we even ordered correctly. We ordered the BRICKERY PIE...menu stated "large pie with thin cut pepperoni, bacon and mozzarella". We wanted mushrooms added as well. When the pizza came out, it only had pepperoni. We told the waitress that it didn't come with the bacon or mushrooms we wanted to have it added. She then told us we did not know what we were talking about, it doesn't come with bacon and never acknowledged the fact they she didn't even add the mushrooms to it. She then proceeded to bring a menu over to show us and then said herself, "It does say bacon but we have never made it with that before". Okay...?! you would think that a pizza you NAMED AFTER YOUR BUSINESS would be the item you have mastered completely, but they can't even do that right. Next the food, MEDIOCRE AT BEST! That's it! Now to the bill, 40 dollars and some change for a large pizza, 3 drinks (My dad had water) and Spinach dip appetizer (which tasted like it was heated in a microwave). After requesting the waitress to ring it up as a pepperoni pizza cause that's all it had on it. The waitress continued to try and explain how the pizza has never been made with bacon before and the same drill as before. I paid her 41 dollars even and told her to KEEP THE CHANGE! The service was AWFUL & she deserved every penny! Now for the so called owner of this establishment. Once I got home, I was upset about the fact that a business is literally unable to make a simple pizza. I called this man, He told me that he knew me and that I had done this before at other restaurants...I literally thought I was in a psych ward, and his brain was on Pluto. BTW I HAVE NEVER MET THIS PERSON IN MY LIFE AND HE HAS NEVER MET ME he couldn't even come out to the table cause he's too busy in the back counting money that he ripped his CUSTOMERS off. So I had no clue what he was talking about. He then proceeded to say he didn't care if we came back and he didn't want our business anyways... Which why would I waste my money on pizza that is undercooked with the wrong toppings? Rated highly because it's the only brick pizza place in the county. I had the wings and my wife had the gluten free pizza. The wings were undercooked, fries were burnt. The bartender was working the room at the front entrance because they were busy and she barked at all the people waiting for a table to move out of her way as she went back and forth. There was a new server training, and she got a little mixed up, but our main server was excellent. The hostesses weren't paying enough attention to what tables were available, and we had to ask if we could have the 2-top we saw empty. It was too cold to sit outside to wait, so having more indoor options would be optimal. The lights weren't on above our table, so it was a little too dark. Also, it was some of the worst silverware I have ever tried to use. On a scale from 1 to 10, it was a 1, ranking below Golden Corral, even. We never got any refills and my daughter couldn't even get any silverware. I had to go find someone and beg to pay. We NEVER once seen our waitress. I really enjoyed this place. My sister in law said this was one of her regular places to eat. Next time I visit GA again I'd love to go again. The calzone I got was HUGE. Stopped here for our last night at one of the local state parks. Really wanted pizza, and this did not disappoint. Pizza was fairly priced, and oh so good. Our server Justin was good and very apologetic, so was the owner. However, I understand they are still new and working out the "kinks". I believe they should have done a soft opening, number the tables and have an expediter in the kitchen. We waited over an hour for a large pizza. Our daughter's order came out first and she finished her meal 20 minutes before our pizza made it to the table, without plates or being sliced (it was still whole). The portion sizes are small for the price and so is the pizza. We wish them the best of luck in their venture.
