Karaoke DJ said we sang too many songs after 2 songs and accidentally added our last name initial to our name on the list. The old man that sang before us sang 4 songs. The other dude with a harmonica sang 5 songs with the DJ. Total BS. They all suck and the bar manager bows down to the karaoke DJ. Pitiful. Night ruined because we weren't "regulars". The food is good and the service was quick. They also have nightly specials and Monday they had trivia which was fun.

The burgers were excellent. Quality meat, juicy, and flavorful. I like meat, and the Brickhouse Burger was just right. No frills, just lettuce, tomato, cheddar, and good beef. My wife said her Bootlegger burger was delicious. Great buffalo chicken and mozzarella apps too. And if you like southern style sweet iced tea, this will not disappoint. read more

Have gone here time and time again over the years to support my friends that are Ohio State fans. Whenever I'm there I usually spend between 100-150$ between shots and drinks with my friends! Normally I don't have an issue here but on my last visit, my favorite team had a game at the same time as the Ohio State game. Given this information, I decided to call ahead and ask if there would have my game on, on a screen that was not a main one. I called around 1145 or 12. My game was a 4pm game. I was reassured that they would put the game on for me. Excited and happy to spend time with friends, I hailed an uber, which cost me around 15 to get there( surged) do to the hurricane. I get there about an hour prior to the game and I politely reminded the waitress about my game. She said she would ask to have it on once the game came on. I order food and a couple of pitchers two share with friends. Then game time! I asked again about my game and she politely said she would check on it. At this point I saw the game on one of the smaller tvs above the bar in the back of the restaurant, however I was sitting closer to the front near the entrance of the mall. I asked if the game could be moved and was told that someone at the table next to me was watching that tv (Michigan state) immediately the table said they were not eating it and that I would be ok to change it. So the waitress went back again to the guy in charge and I asked her to remind him that I had called ahead and was promised the game would be on. I watch as she went to ask him to move the game again and the guy totally losses his shit and refused to put the game on, in fact he went as far as turning the game of completely on the other tv as well. At this point I'm really mad. I want to confront this guy to see what his problem is cause it's clear he has an attitude and was completely bullying his female waitress, I did not however because I'm not gonna win that one. I then cashed out about 35$ and then hailed another uber home at 17$ to catch the second half of my game. I will not be going back to this place and it's unfortunate because I really enjoyed being there. We have held Christmas parties, NCAAM watch parties NCAAF parties and many other occasions there. It's a fun atmosphere where I've spent a lot of Saturday's and a lot of money. The wait staff was great. Only the kitchen manager was on some sort of power trip and flexing his "power". Again I'm only 1 person, but o spend about as much money as a party of four there on almost a weekly basis...guess ok just start banking that cash now! read more

I will never go back to this place, at the request of the Patriots Fans of Raleigh NC, an aristocrat, the manager "asked me" not to use my viking style horn because some patriots fans (I'm one myself) were bothered by it. The fact is that people visiting from Boston the week of 12 November 2017 and others felt in love with it. It comes down to the president of that club not liking me do whatever reason. Neither I know this guy nor I get greeted by him on the two games that I've been there. IN MY 19 YEARS IN THE MILITARY, NEVER GOT THIS TREATMENT AND I SPENT MY MONEY THERE! NO MORE, AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO NOBODY. The owner doesn't seem to be in charge and the manager that always wear a colts jersey is really the owner. We arrived at 12:30pm and was expecting to have lunch and a beer with family. We ordered a beer and that was about it. We (a group of 8) sat and waited and waited and waited for someone to bring us a menu. This would be excusable except there was literally no one in the place (1 + 4 after we arrived). We got our own menus and silverware, and still no one waited on us. We asked the bartender if the kitchen was open and he said "yeah". After about ten more minutes ( again no one in the place) the bartender visibly annoyed came to take our order. Unfortunately for the Brickhouse, we as a group decided we had wasted enough time on horrible service and we are now enjoying great beer and food at the flying saucer. read more

This restaurant used to be a very nice place to go to. Now it has completely changed and is mostly focused on being a sports bar. I ate there earlier this afternoon and now I am sick to my stomach. Me and my family all had something with chicken in it. The wings I had were fried entirely too hard with little sauce. Now we all feel incredibly ill. We walked out tonight after sitting ourselves in a booth for 10 minutes and no one even gave us a menu, much less took our order, etc. We were sitting right in front of the bartender & he looked as if he could care less if we were waited on. Myself and two family members of mine decided to go for drinks and play pool. The one thing that I loved about the place is that playing pool here is free. What a great way to attract patrons! This review is more so based on how I was treated by the bartender named Heather. As she was tending to us, we asked about playing pool, and she replied there was a wait, which was fine. She informed us we would be next on the list. They have 4 tables. 3 had people playing on them. One table was vacant, so I asked about it. She replied that it was occupied. I understood. After 20 minutes, the table was still void of any players. Now, it appears that if you give them your ID in exchange for balls, you can hold a table all night and not even use it. Her response to that inquiry was that as long as someone is eating and drinking, they can tie up a table without any intention of using it, nor respect for others waiting to play. After realizing that there weren't even any balls at the table, or in the pockets, I simply asked if she knew where the the other party was or if she even knew where the balls were. At that time she caught a very nasty attitude and threw her arms up defensively, then replied "I don't know where the balls are!" I advised her that there wasn't any need for the attitude and irrationality. She then states, "well what do you want me to say?" I replied, there are much better ways to interact with her clientele. We quickly finished our drinks, paid and left for another establishment . Maybe she was having a bad night, so I still tipped her. However, that does not change my personal experience. I go here for Patriots home base. The bar staff is staggeringly horrible the manager is just plain militant and rude. The short bartending women who wears a Cowboys jersey at the Patriots home base is always rude and slow. The food is mediocre at best most of the time so miserable that it's just not worth eating. The tap beer always tastes like the taps have never been cleaned. I would challenge them to prove they have cleaned the lines in the last year! Oh and no nitro beers such as Guinness as they ran out of nitro....a bar that runs out of nitro...hmmmm makes you wonder....the wait staff consists of clueless waitresses who seem to ignore people left right and center, the waiters appear to be those folks who may have recently completed a corresponds course of ignorance and stupidity. The outdoor area is nice which is the only nice thing about this generally junky place. The restrooms are disgusting with not even a dividing wall between men's urinals and so dirty I feel like I need a shower after washing my hands. Best sorts bar at NC State! Great food, lots of the, and lots of beer options. I got the mild wings and they were awesome. A little spice but not too much. Food was fresh when we got it but service was a little ehh but I can't blame them because I wouldn't wanna work in that kind of loud college environment. Still leaps and bounds above Sammys! But then again, like I said the food was hot when we got it! Pool tables to play at when you get done eating so you don't feel like you're taking up the waitress' tips and lots of seating. Finally got around to checking this place out! Went with a group of coworkers and it was pretty dead on a Wednesday evening. There was something for everybody on all of the projectors and I took full advantage of the $3 Red Oak drink special. However this was only after I made the mistake of ordering a mixed drink they called "Cheerwine" which featured a local NC spiced rum and tasted like a Christmas candle doused with grenadine. The service was passable, though definitely unnecessarily slow for how few other diners there were. One member of the group ordered just a side of celery and ranch and it took nearly 15 minutes for it to come out. Nobody had any complaints about the food and my side of sweet potato fries were excellent, though they were covered in cinnamon and sugar and would have made a better appetizer or dessert than a side to my french dip sandwich. The to-go bacon cheeseburger I brought home to my boyfriend received rave reviews, so that's definitely what I'll be trying next time! read more

The free pool is cool, but most nights their owner brings a pool league in and kicks everyone off the tables. Really LAME if you ask me.

I love dining at new places! After seeing good reviews, I was excited to try it out. Disappointed that it doesn't live up to the hype. Poor service and mediocre food. We waited for 10 minutes before our presence was acknowledged. We ordered and waited 30+ minutes for our goodies. The food delivered to our table was incorrect and after another 20 minute wait, I was grossed out with the buffalo chicken wrap. The "chipotle bbq" sauce they used was mostly plain yellow mustard. Took a few bites and that was it. Sadly, this is not a place I'll be visiting again. read more

Poorly managed. My friends and I rode up here from Pinehurst because we heard about the wings. They claim to open at 1200 on Sundays however their doors opened at 1218 after I had called from outside to see if they were even going to open. STRIKE 1. When we did get inside they were just taking chairs off the tables (keep in mind we arrived 15 mins early and saw someone watching TV when we looked through the glass.) Then, we ordered beers... and the taps weren't ready nor was the bar stocked. STRIKE 2. The final blow was delivered when they didnt even have the kitchen open at 1230. STRIKE 3. I understand things happen but this place is a train wreck... unless of course they dont operate in hopes of making a profit. I wish I could taste the wings people rave about and give this better reviews, but I am probably never coming back here. read more

My associates and I were in Raleigh on business from 12/8-12/12. We were looking for a karaoke bar on 12/9 and after reading the reviews, we decided to come to this place. Our experience was not all that we expected. I arrived first at the bar and saw that you seated yourself to get served which was just fine. However, I waited for 15 mins before I went to find a waitress myself to serve us. Now, let it be known that I have been a waitress myself in the past for 4 years so I know what is expected. I watched as waitress after waitress walked right by me and didn't ask if I needed help. Once i got a waitress to help, we were assigned a waitress by the name of Maddy. Maddy was NOT a good waitress at all. The place was not all that busy and we consistently had too look for her to place our drink and food orders. When she did come to collect our orders one time, after I had told her what I wanted to drink, she started to take the menu out of my hands and I had to hold on to it and let her know that I wasn't finished. I still was going to tip her out at the end of the night but she ended up taking my receipt before I could leave a tip so I decided that she didn't really want a tip from me. We might be back for the Karaoke experience if we are ever again in this area but definitely not for the service read more

Prices are reasonable compared to all the bars just a couple miles away and further down Hillsboro. I think there's a good mix of demographics...you have college kids, of course, but you also have some middle-aged people (unfortunately there are some creepers, but don't worry, most of them aren't), people in their mid-twenties and thirties, etc. I have gone many times on Friday nights.I would give this place 5 stars if they would for the love of God change the show on Fridays some. I like the karaoke, but it's often ENTIRELY too loud. I'll sit in the very back, as far away from the speakers as possible, and I'm screaming to talk to the person next to me. Turn it down like five notches, we can all hear just fine. Well...not after we leave. We'd like to talk to the people we came with without having to shout all the time and then still only be able to half understand each other. The DJ seems to get drunk and hit on girls half his age a lot. He also tends to play too much dance music, well beyond when everyone has left the floor. Do a few songs, and when interest sharply declines, move on, dude. They have a great outdoor area for people to go sit/smoke/whatever. I, as well as about a dozen and a half people I know, have stopped going very often because of how things are going with the Friday show. We go to bars where we can hear each other, and yes, even when there's karaoke and dancing. But give it a try. They have good pizza. read more
