The portions are great, the food is affordable, and everything comes out fresh and delicious. The service is also consistently amazing and everyone is friendly and helpful, and they keep things moving even when it's busy. For the quality of the food and the prices, you really can't go wrong. If you're visiting San Luis Obispo and want a casual spot with amazing tri-tip that won't break the bank, Firestone Grill is a must. Definitely one of my go-to places every time I'm in SLO! Plenty of space to sit but will be busy!

The sandwiches were yummy, (only complaint is that they could use a bit more sauce/flavor). The onion rings were yummy, can't go wrong with onion rings. I'm more irritated about the service we received from the cashier. I was in the process of ordering and it was my first time here, received lots of unnecessary attitude from the cashier and felt rushed. We were still deciding and the cashier had already charged us, and when we asked if she can add it on, she made a face at us and said "it's charged already? It's done" so we had to do a separate charge. That experience left us feeling sour, and we definitely won't be returning.

I placed my order on the kiosk, which I found very easy to use. I ordered Smoothie 5 and Panini 6. This came out to $36.97. For the smoothie, I subbed out strawberries (because I'm allergic) and added bananas. I found that to be a really great option that they have at no extra charge. For the panini, I didn't realize they had half and full orders until I got up to the kiosk. I opted for the full order, and then realized once I sat down that I probably would have been better off with the half option. My smoothie arrived at the table at 11:49, whereas my panini arrived at 11:53, so the wait in total was about 15 minutes which is not bad at all for how busy it was. My friends ordered the Greens 5 with prosciutto, Toast 4, Bowl 1, Bowl 6, and everyone agreed that we would definitely come back. One thing that was funny to us is that we felt like the photos on the menu looked smaller than the portions that actually arrived. My friend ordered the Greens and a Bowl thinking it would be small, and she realized very quickly that she was going to need a takeout box for her salad. (This is a good problem to have, rather than the other way around!). The service was also top notch. Even though I ordered on the kiosk, I was still able to interact with the employees, as they frequently came around to ask if they could clear off plates from our table. I also went up to the front to ask for a box, and she kindly directed me to where the boxes were located that I could just grab. Next time, I would definitely mentally prepare myself for how busy it is, but for the quality of ingredients, and the portion size, I think it is great and would definitely come back.

I get why it cost a little bit more for this because of the healthiness of these items. I like that they had a self service machine near the door, some nice seating outside and inside which we sat outside and then we had to catch a train, but It was pretty chill. Got some like bees I think nearby investigating my friends bowl.

They have since opened up their own restaurant in Downtown SLO and celebrated their 1 year anniversary the weekend we were there. Already had plans that evening so missed out on their live cultural show for their celebration but did manage to stop by for lunch the last time we were passing through SLO. I always get the causa every time and this time was no different, getting both the octopus and mushroom causa while the pork chicharron sandwich is always a winner. By actually dining in vs. takeout, meant I can get the Chicha Morada made with purple corn that my high school friend who spent years doing research in the Peruvian Amazon introduced me to decades ago and tried for the first time, the Hot Maca.

Also a random bath and body works candle was lit in the restaurant?? It felt like I was eating inside of a bathroom instead of a restaurant. Our waitress was behind the counter and did not greet us until after 15 minutes of sitting. My cup had lipstick stains and grime on it. Their lack of communication was wild because we were asked what we wanted to drink twice and the drinks did not come out until after the food came. We got the pesto pasta with steak. Food was missing salt, we had to ask the busboy for the check 3 separate times, and the waitress only started to recommend meals and chat with us once I was looking at the tip screen. I would not recommend at all.

Asked the bartender if they had a good stout. He let me taste test the one they had on tap -- Ales Smith Speedway Stout (out of San Diego). Notes of chocolate and coffee.... Oh...sooo good. Where this can end up destractting and un inviting I can honestly say I did not feel off put and had zero issues requesting a seat at the bar. The restaurant was clean and bustling with business but all employees were kind and engaged with the customers. As I sat down at the Bar I was greeted by Lydia who was phenomenal. She provided me quickly with a lunch special menue asked my drinks and took my order all almost immediately as I sat down at a busy bar with not many available seats and she was the the only one behind that bar. I chose the blackened shrimp tacos which were absolutely great and hit the spot with a 2 oz pour of Russel Reserve 10 on this unseasonably hot 100 degree day in September. As a whiskey enthusiast I was impressed with their selection and pricing on their pours. Any questions Lydia was not able to readily answer she got ahold of the manager without hesitation. I can say this by far was one of the best lunch experiences I have had in years and it was cheaper than an upgraded combo at a fastfood restaurant. Stop in see the staff at Eureka grab a $13 lunch special and a drink. You will be a return customer I promise. I know I am. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you Lydia and Mason on making a now loyal and advocateing customer... Not to mention my dining experience was so good I'm potentially considering becoming a whiskey club member. I also bought tickets for their Whiskey Heritage Month event on Sept 24th at 630pm. Check it out! Perfect date night just make sure to be responsible and arrange transportation.

I opted to do a trio with the bahn mi, tip o' Argentina, and the garlic fries. The food was good I forgot to take a picture! The tip o' Argentina was solid with the garlic aioli and the chimmichurri perfectly complimenting the steak and the lettuce and tomato adding a little bit of freshness. The buns they use for all of their sliders are soft, slightly sweet, and don't fall apart while you're eating. The Bahn Mi was even better. I love pork but was a little skeptical about pulled pork on a slider riffing on the flavors of a bahn mi. To my surprise and delight, it tasted just like grilled Vietnamese pork, which was perfectly complimented by the fresh and pickled veggies and surprisingly hot jalapeño. Finally, I got the garlic fries which were a massive portion, crisp, and very garlicky. Everything was good and with such a large and customizable menu, I'd definitely return if I was in the area again. I also want to give a shout out to the bartender, Kelsey. I sat at the bar and her service was attentive and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We got the opportunity to chat for a bit and I loved her vibe, so definitely consider sitting at the bar if you're dining solo or with a friend.

It is a bit off the beaten path I thought, in a seemingly industrial area and parking was hard to find at 12:30 on a Monday. We had to go down the street and around the corner since the lot was full. I got a Gouda Burger, the summer crunch salad, and garlic fries. My wife and kid also had a slider but did Italian Sprouts, mac and cheese with bacon, and sweet potato fries. The slider was good- tasty but a little messy to eat. Both servings of fries were really generous. The salad was a good mix of ingredients. However the mac and brussels sprouts were a bit disappointing. For some there is no such thing as too much bacon but for us both of these dishes definitely had too much bacon- so much that we left a lot of the bacon! And don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my bacon. Overall, a good concept but we'll definitely try some non bacon dishes next time!
