Had a night out in the town and decided to opt for date night at The Brickyard! It had been many years since my previous visit, which I remember really enjoying. We love to sit at the bar and this evening was no exception- though they offer an outdoor patio in the back and a standard dining room. The bartender was on top of it and greeted us promptly and got us menus. We had a craving for the classic, gin fizz - it hit the spot and was delicious! Our second round were bartender suggestions, I can't remember, as they weren't in the menu, but he was very helpful with recommendations and we enjoyed them! The cocktail menu is a smidge overwhelming and with the font and design choices a little difficult to read, but it is extensive for classics to more unique beverages! The food menu is much simpler then I remember it as well, but we went with the Bahn Mi pork belly tacos, truffle potatoes, burrata salad and short rib. It was delightful. We loved the tacos, great value and very flavorful appetizer. The truffle potatoes were absolutely delicious with perfectly cooked potatoes and lots of truffle sauce. The short rib was so tender it melted in our mouths and had this great goat cheese garnish pairing. The burrata salad had lots of fresh fruit and came with some house bread, though it was good, I don't think i would get it again. The meal was spaced and timed out perfectly for us to stagger and enjoy the courses. We ended our meal with a pistachio cannoli - this really did not hit the mark for me. I have a major sweet tooth and was hoping this would be perfect ending. It came out with three mini cannolis, great for sharing, but the lemon and berry flavors were just not working together and a tad bit more bitter. I can't put my finger on it, but not what I was hoping for! We will definitely return, with its warm atmosphere, elevated vibe, great location and accessible parking it's worth a visit and we will keep in the date night rotation! read more

My best friend and I met for drinks. We came on a Thursday evening, just after happy hour (3p-6p). It wasn't busy or overly crowded but it was steady. The bartenders were great and attentive. The hostess made sure our waters were always full. We ordered calamari, salmon hush puppies, and the buratta. Everything was really good but the BURATTA!!!!! So so so so soooooooo freaking good. This is a really beautuful place. We came for my birthday dinner and it's our first time here. Service was quick from the door and also from getting the order. The food came out far apart. My husband had the French dip and it came quickly. He was almost half way finished with his meal then my son's meal of shrimp Alfredo came next, it was very creamy and delicious, then my three shrimp came. My shrimp was so hot and so overly breaded that the shrimp was disintegrated. No flavor just breading. The Moscow mules were delicious. I stopped by here due to the decent reviews. The hosts was very welcoming and nice. They give you a DVD case for the drink menu which was different. Most of the food menu is tapa options. Drinks were good. The food was okay but nothing special. We had potatoes, pork on a skewer and a chorizo dish. For 3 tapas and 2 drinks our bills was almost $100 with tip. I will give this place a 5 because we sat at the bar the had the chance to see the show. The bartender was great, the food was great, and we completely enjoyed the show. I had two drinks, the Poseidon and the Wilderness Trail SB rye. We shared a Loaded Potato and a Charred Caesar Salad, both were great. We look forward to going back to this place. My wife and I were visiting from the North Valley for a granddaughter's soccer tournament and found this incredible place on Yelp! We had an absolutely wonderful experience. From beginning to end. We were Greeted warmly from the hostess and sat at the bar and enjoyed one of the best Old Fashions I've ever had. (Thank you Trevor). The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and the staff were super friendly. Our server, James, was attentive and welcoming. If you want a nice date night place this is the place. It's on the chiller side but the food and drinks look really drinks. We got the mini bricks, calamari, and the pork skewers, and the mini bricks were my favorite. The slider was really good and the fries were amazing. As for the drinks, they were really good. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Downtown Chandler! All their food offerings are phenomenal and their cocktail selection never disappoints. Recently came back for dinner with a friend and we had the charred Caesar salad, shrimp Alfredo and the pork fried rice. We were so happy with all of our dishes! The team there is so great, they knew when to come by to check on us, and there was no feeling of being rushed just let us enjoy our time there. Definitely recommend, and if you're going on a weekend, be ready for a little wait but just know it's worth it! read more

The Brickyard Downtown is quickly becoming one of our favorite restaurants in the east valley. I chose the Brickyard for dinner one evening to satisfy different dietary needs (keto, pescatarian, etc) in our party. We were very impressed not just by the food and cocktails but also by the service. Our server was fantastic and the mixologists were talented. Everyone was personable and helpful. We loved our visit so much, we came back a few days later! Their charred caesar salad is phenomenal. It is probably one of the best if not the best caesar salad I've ever had. We ordered it at both visits. We've tried several different food and drink items between the two visits, and they've all been excellent. The cocktails are fun and unique. On our second visit, I asked one of the mixologists for a recommendation. I told him I like fruity drinks as well as honey and he made a drink similar to the bee's knees but customized it for me. It was delicious! My husband and sister in law have been back a third time and said it was just as good as the first and second times. I'm sure we will be back soon. read more

Service! During our 33rd anniversary day, my wife and I thought we would splurge a bit for lunch. We got to the Brickyard around 3:15p, just after they opened at 3. We were the 1st customers. We ordered two separate expensive entrees at the same time and mine came out first. As I was eating, suspiciously, my wife sat and watched me eat for about 10-15 minutes, impatiently, waiting for her food to come to the table. We then started contemplating of only paying for my plate and leaving the restaurant before the waitress brought her plate to the table. "Totally unacceptable" and embarrassing to say the least. Especially after paying lots of money for the dinners. I normally try not to interject racism into situations but I couldn't think of anything else while going through the process of elimination. Especially being the only customers in the restaurant. Also, the waitress never came back to the table and apologized or offered an explanation, even after bringing my wife's plate. But my wife did expressed her disappointment and disapproval. And... to add insult to injury, there was no compensation offered. So the tip was minimum and we put the restaurant on our "do not go back to" list. read more

I haven't been in a few years but since I last visited, the cocktail menu is "Outta this world" themed. The cocktail menu book is beautifully done and I love the whimsical/themed drink names! I'm a vodka/rum girl, so I went with a classic- Pina Colada. Bf had the "USSBY Oil Spill" and my friend had "Only a Vice." This was unlike any Pina I've ever had; instead of the sweet, tropical, pineapple/coconut flavors, it was coconut forward, limey, and not a hint sweet at all. I sipped on it very slowly as it was difficult to enjoy. The "USSBY" and "Only a Vice" were fine. Absolutely flames Always a must for me Tempura Cauliflower & Mushroom - Tossed in a Kimchi Ponzu Sauce with Sesame Seeds and Peanuts. Probably one of the better Tempura'd Cauliflower that I've had. Between the bar and the wall were a handful tables. We found ourselves at one of those tables. Two TVs in the bar area, both had hockey games on them when we arrived. Food Drink - I had two different craft cocktails. I love tequila so I had the Gotta Go Fast. I followed up with the SciFi classic name off Pew Pew which had Aquavit. I remember at one time Aquavit was a hard liquor to find. Tapas - Yep we had tapas for dinner. Tempura fried tofu roll caught our eye. I would call it sushi but you really cannot as it does not fish in it. The first tapas was our favorite of the night and would order it again in a heartbeat. We also had the Load Potatoes and the Pork Belly Skewers (3 skewers). Some of the pork was so tender a fork was all you need and other pieces a knife was needed. Service - Walking in I was worried we might have need a reservation. I am not even sure if they take them. The hostess grabbed the menus and took us back to a small two person high top table. Perfect!! Then she explained both menus to us and how the place worked. We got the same low down from our waitress. Drinks come out when they are made, and like wise each tapas. Truly memorable. Infused with umami and a touch of chili thread. The seared scallops were also excellent and perfect for one person. The jasmine rice that accompanied almost steals the show. With a drizzle of chimichurri made from dill rather than parsley. Fantastic. The experts behind the bar are true craftsman of the trade. Been a regular to Brickyard Downtown for 3-3.5 years and the impeccable service and food continues! My husband and I went to another spot for date night first, but were utterly disappointed and decided to finish our drinks and get to Brickyard. The mocktail I had was delicious and he got a few beers! The truffle potatoes are superb and carry the same flavors as always. My husband got the duck breast and was all praises for how well it was seared, cooked, and plated. I went here late at night, about 11:00 pm on Friday. There weren't many options open downtown, so I chose this because I was hungry and the ambiance seemed nice. I ordered the pork fried rice, loaded truffle cream fries, and a Cosmo. This was the worst food I have had in a long time. There was no pork in the rice; it was just a whole bunch of peas. The Cosmo was too tart, and the potatoes were too hard and nasty. I wouldn't even try more than one. The service wasn't good either. I told the waiter, and he didn't seem to care. FYI per the waitstaff said they have a limited menu late night. I couldn't order the steak even though they close at 1 am. I wouldn't recommend read more

We simply loved everything about this place! Iam so glad I went by the other reviews and gave it a try! The place is in a very nice area, and it's very hipster and casual like we like. The hostess/waitress ladies were very nice, friendly and cordial when we asked questions about some of the food offered in their dinner menu. And needless to say that pretty much everything in their menu was absolutely fantastic and also fantastic was our server, James who was prompt to have one of our plates redone as he noticed right away that the chicken had to be cooked a bit more. He provided us an overall 10 stars service in all aspects, for sure! Oh my gosh - what an amazing little place. The Brickyard is pretty small all considering, but the food is delicious. Our table tried a ton of different things - pork fried rice, cheeseburger sliders and fries, potatoes, coconut shrimp, and so many others, but everything was great. Our group of 10 kept saying how tasty everything was and we had a hard time picking our favorite. The menu being in a DVD box was really creative. We also had great service from the waitstaff.
