We were here a year ago, and loved it, and here we are again. And, we're here for a similar reason: other places were absurdly busy. And, again, we're happy we ended up here. There was only 1 person tending bar and waiting on tables when we sat down, but a second person arrived, and things picked up. Again, the service was decent once the order was placed. They forgot my son's fries until the end of the order, but they comped us. But, no tater tots this time, damn it. But, the fries were crispy and tasty. We opened with soft pretzel rods, which were served hot with a cheese sauce. Good stuff. I decided to deviate from my "always order fish" rule for Alaska, so I opted for the chimichuri steak bowl. The beef was nicely seasoned, but over cooked. The mango chunks are a nice touch, and I did eat the whole thing, but it was less amazing than the comparable salmon bowl. There was a trivia contest going on, which added to the fun. And, the Broken Blender is all about fun.

One of my favorites. Probably "qualifies" as a dive bar, but that may send an incorrect image of this gem. The staff is awesome, twenty four "on Tap" selections. A lot of hard liquor choices, but if it requires a blender--refer to its name--if it requires a blender... "they're out of that." Salmon/steak bowls, burgers and wings, etc. My first choice when dining out. Love this place!

Walking around on a quiet Sunday morning we decided to dip into The Broken Blender-WOW Whet a nice treat. We were pleasantly pleased while we walked in & met one of the owners with a wealth of knowledge about his history in Anchorage. While talking to this man he promotes concerts in Anchorage & to find out he puts on the Back Yard BBQ Events that we just went to last week which I might say was Fricken Fabulous!! To get back to The Broken Blender this place is clean & friendly in saying that we will be coming back for some appetizers. They have 24 beers on tap & if you can't find something to make you happy I don't know what will... Give this place a try, maybe I'll see you here!

Local dive bar with weekly events! Check them out for one or their poker or trivia nights. Sunday afternoon trivia as well! Loved the loaded tots. Had that as a hearty meal on a rainy day and it really did the trick. Staff was busy but very attentive and friendly. Start a conversation and they will really open up!

Great place for a drink, nothing fancy, simple. We had some wings too, they were average but good. Titus, the bartender is a great addition, which elevated our rfrom 3/5 go 4/5. He's personable and easy to chat with. We had a couple of beers then finished with his Old Fashioned, very good. So stop by and have a drink. We will be back.

We went here on a Wednesday night. We both had kind of mixed feelings. The ambiance is almost exactly the same as the Matanuska Brewing location it has replaced. The main thing you'll notice is that it is very, VERY loud. There were not many people when we were hear, and we were at the verge of shouting to understand each other. Not necessarily a bad thing if you're looking for somewhere rowdy, but just something to note. The main selling point of this spot is that they have affordable cocktails, and I can happily report that they definitely do! We both got different margaritas, and we both thought they were decent. However, we both realized we weren't really margarita people and aren't really fare judges of quality. I just saw "mezcal" (a smoky favorite) and immediately ordered. They were definitely on the sweet side, and the price was definitely right! While the cocktails don't have the double-digit sticket-shock, they were also pretty common cocktails. Again, not saying it's good or bad, just don't expect anything too weird or out-of-the-ordinary! The taps: that is an aspect I am very disappointed in. I wish they had more from our smaller, craftier breweries: Turnagain Arm, Girdwood, Anchorage Brewing Company, Cynosure and less from our massive ho-hum breweries: Alaskan Brewing, King Street, Denali. Most of what is on tap here is what you could get at a mediocre Oakenkeg or Brown Jug location. For food, I got the blender burger and it was amazing! A fantastic melding of flavors, one of the better burgers I've had. However, unlike the cocktails, the price was quite high at $14...and it was ala carte. We did get an order of tater tots to share and to The Broken Blender's (TBB) credit, the portion was great for 2-people and these were also the best tots I've ever had in Anchorage. They had a made-from-scratch feel that no other tots in town have! TBB is definitely worth trying if anything above sounds appealing. If they get some more local-focused taps, I will definitely return for a beer and a burger!

So fun!! This rebranded and new ownership of a bar is up and running and killing it. We had Caroline as our waitress and I would recommend you asking for her. The tomato bisque soup was fire ! The burgers and sliders were great with a nice blend of flavors and the charcuterie board were awesome as well. The loaded tots did not disappoint. Drinks were a great pour also. Killer staff and vibes and the outside deck is super vibes. They show the ufc fights too

The service here is great, Caroline was our server on both visits and did an awesome job. The drinks are made well. The food was a little underwhelming. They started strong with some great fried cheese sticks. Those were delicious. The burger was a little lacking. The toppings and bun were good, but the meat patty was small and tasted like it had been in the freezer a little too long. I'd gladly pay a little extra for better beef. The patio outside is great for soaking up some of the great Alaska sunshine. The Broken Blender is a fun place worth checking out!

Service was great! Live music provided by a young man. Not too loud. We really enjoyed the spicy aioli. Were not expecting the raw salmon. Would have preferred it cooked.

However this was my birthday dinner so I was particularly disappointed. I reserved a table for three in the whisky bar area. We arrived about five minutes early and were told by one of the hostesses that the party at the table just paid and should be leaving soon. About 20 minutes passed before another said the party still had not left even though one of them talked to the server. Eventually I agreed to have us seated in the main dining room. Almost immediately afterward I saw two parties leave the whisky bar so I asked to be moved there, which according to one of the hostesses is where we originally supposed to be. It was over 30 minutes later when we finally got the table I reserved. This left a sour taste in my mouth and I considered leaving at one point, but I was really looking forward to this dinner. For dinner I ordered the Komorebi Old Fashioned and the Dark Horse as I often do, We also shared the whisky pork buns and everything was delicious. Dessert was not as enjoyable. I ordered their espresso martini, the Electric Stolt, which was decent enough. Lacking on the coffee flavor in my opinion. I also ordered the chocolate birthday cake which, aside from the cherries in the cake, tasted like any generic cake you would get from a grocery store. Their other desserts, like the matcha panna cotta and goma silk bar, are much more flavorable. Service overall was fine, but we got the check before my boyfriend could order another drink so we felt somewhat rushed out. Considering this is the only time I've had issues with being seated for reservations, I would go back, but this was my least pleasant dining experience here, unfortunately.

Our table had the following: 6 oysters Rockefeller, 1 fried calamari, a half size blackened halibut Cesar salad, a grilled ribeye steak and an Alaskan halibut fish and chips. Food notes: the oysters were super fresh and delicious, perfectly cooked so that they were only broiled on top and still almost rare below. However the toppings could've been improved with better bacon, and maybe a touch more spinach. Even a small dollop of Béarnaise sauce would've been better than the Parmesan. Nevertheless this was probably my favorite bite of the night. The halibut on the fish & chips was also fresh flaky and really tender. The chips were like thin steak fries that had been battered but were still under seasoned. They weren't great, and no one ate them even our toddler who loves fries. The blackened halibut on the salad was tougher, and dry. There were too many store-bought croutons and the salad dressing was possibly store-bought too and bland for a Cesar. The ribeye was totally sad. It was quite thin and unimpressive especially for the cost. It came with more of those dismal fries and some plain broccolini. Our steak-loving dinner companion only ate about half and didn't care to doggy-bag the rest so it went to waste. Calamari was average, and came with two oily amateur-chef looking sauces, one mayo flavored and one somewhat spicer was basically the same as the first. Our excellent waiter mixed up a cocktail sauce himself that blew the other sauces out of the water. Bravo to him. He was the best while waiting on us also, quick to refill a water or retrieve more drinks from the bar. Good thing the Rockefeller was great, I'd be back for that alone ($6/per oyster) but otherwise I don't think I'd rush back to Fletcher's. Many other eateries in the area that are tastier, with equally difficult parking.

Jimmy was our server and he was super cool. Took great care of all our needs! We first order a bottle of Chardonnay that was excellent and for my main course I ordered the Beef Stroganoff. If you're in Anchorage, this is a must restaurant to check out. We loved it.
