This was good and bad. The service was very disappointing. Our waitress basically wouldn't speak to us, not polite, at all. The timing on the food was off. For 4 people, my friend and my boyfriend waite 15 minutes and 22 minutes after the first dishes were served to receive their food. There wasn't an explanation for this. The food was good, but very overpriced. I got the Greek salad with shrimp. The salad was very average, and the shrimp was plain, and not very much of it. My boyfriend got a burger that was cooked a little more than he requested, but it was still good. My friend got chicken parm, which was really delicious, but the veggies were basically raw. Went for an outside dinner last night with my boyfriend. Great music and atmosphere on the front patio! Our food was also delicious. My boyfriend has the pepperoni pizza and I had the kale salad with grilled chicken. The dill dressing was my favorite! The only complaint was that the service wasn't the fastest. Another table of 2 who came after us got their food and drinks before us. We had to flag down the waiter to order a 2nd round of drinks and originally they only brought out the pizza without my salad. Regardless tho, love this plqxe and can't wait to go back!!! This past weekend, I hosted a private luncheon for my daughter's baptism at The Brookdale. I have only positive things to say about the space, food and staff! The private room is bright, spacious and warm. Staff was responsive, accommodating and nice to work with (thank you Gabby and team!). Friends and I went this past Saturday. We were the first ones in. We got seated right away. The hostess and wait staff were very pleasant and made us feel very comfortable. Our appetizers, wings and quesadillas, and the entrees, steak sammy, were delicious, done to perfection, and served up well. What a great place to get together for a gathering with friends and family. What a wonderful, friendly staff. Unique tasting and well-executed, thoughtful presentation! The Steak Sammy is worth the buy 60% of the time, every time. However, I will say one thing. I went on a Sunday and there was constant "Wooooo's!" and drawn out "Ahhhh's!" coming from the bar room. Something about, "How many wins do the Giants have?" ... "9 WINS!" And, "Who's going to the playoffs?!" ... "THE NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS!!" I personally loved this naturally added ambiance as it easily helped me ignore whatever came out of the big, dangerously chapped mouth of the blind-date my now ex-friend set me up on and audible the conversation back to the Giants. What can I say, I guess the Giants came through in crunch time for me again. I will certainly be returning every football Sunday to hang out with those guys cheering at the bar 6 hours after the final whistle. Now THAT is dedication. That being said, I would NOT recommend coming to this bar if you're one of those sorry Cowboys fans. Sheesh, I could only imagine what that life must be like. I have to say we were looking forward to coming here. Came in on a Saturday mid afternoon and sat in the bar area where there were small tables. After sitting for ten mins we moved ourselves to the bar or we wouldn't have gotten served as no one took note. Sat right in front of the bartender. Five mins till he acknowledged us. Gave him our drink orders. Then we ordered our food. Sweet potato in avocado foam was amazing. The Thai Chile shrimp also amazing. Large shrimp really tasty on toast with a great sauce. I would have removed the tail from the shrimp. Not pleasant biting into it. I ordered the Kale salad which was supposed to have farro and roasted cauliflower. There were a few grains of farro in the bottom of the salad the cauliflower was minuscule and not roasted. My friends Ceasar salad was wet and so wilted she ordered another. I think our appetizers were great our salads were not. The service was terrible with an bartender who cared more about hanging with his buddies off to the side then taking our order or making sure our drinks were filled. The manager was lovely as he did give us a new salad, unfortunately it was as wet and wilted as the first one ordered. In addition the inside of the restaurant had a smell to it like bad cleaning fluid. There was 1 tables inside that was occupied. Outside about 4 tables occupied and a few folks at the bar. I have no idea how the restaurant operates at capacity. While the apps were great, the service and smell will make me reluctant to return in person sadly. read more

Just got back from dinner here tonight with a friend. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, but everything after that felt a little disappointing. Music was way too loud and made conversation difficult - granted it's a Saturday night, so I'm sure it's not always like that, but dang it was loouudd. We had the thai chili shrimp appetizer which is served over "charred" sourdough, except it turned into a soggy mess since all of the shrimp and sauce are laying on top and soaking through. Plus, a slice of bread is just an odd pairing with Thai shrimp. About 30min later (long wait time for all of the food), I got my Branzino entree. For $25, I got a skinny piece of fish over a few diced veggies. Fish was cooked nicely but the dish seemed dry, and I'm only now realizing it was supposed to come with chimichurri sauce. Well it was definitely not on my plate. I should have double checked. We finished the meal with the peach cobbler which I thought was actually quite nice and the only thing I enjoyed. Small portions, average food, and long wait time means I don't plan on returning. read more

Their chicharrones are not authentic in the least. I can spend 99 cents and get a bag of these from stop and shop. See the attached pic. My wife's shashuka was okay and she seemed happy with it. My daughter's challah bread French toast was soggy and not very sweet according to her. My Reuben quesadilla was okay if more than a bit deconstructed with the sauerkraut on top. My chief complaint with the quesadilla was the tiny amount of pastrami used in making it like it's bacon. Just a thin piece across the whole thing. The service was decent since they did refill drinks consistently. Finally I was very unhappy with the ambience. Not only was there loud and continuous and offensive rap music playing on the sound system, but there was a very loud party in the room next door without proper soundproofing. Excellent service, the food was incredible. Not to mention I came with 3 young children and one young man and Wife. Ordered the cauliflower dinner... wow just wow... a whole rose. The flavor was amazing. The pizza.. won the kids hearts and mine... I had to try it and when I did.. pizza has not been the same... I have the chicken parm... delicious... crunchy yet just enough sauce/gravy whatever you want to call it... not overbearing but just enough to hide under the mozzarella cheese... first bite took me to a world where I needed to confirm with my son who ordered the same.. he agreed... and he never finishes a meal... he destroyed it. Impressive. The appetizers... pretty much filled us and made us impatient for the meals... I'm super impressed by the place for the service and quality of taste and delivery. I highly recommend this place... that's not to say that the specialty cocktails made our night. Sooo smoothie and flavorful. The wait staff was knowledgeable and made our visit beyond pleasant.
