Quick seating, was a fantastic end to our bourbon exploration. Started off with the onion rings and the "nasty sauce" which is super delicious! A mixture of hot sauce, ranch and salsa!! Was finger licking food and the basket was plentiful. The hot sauce chicken sandwich did not disappoint! Was a massive sandwich and the Brussel sprouts were okay. I prefer mine more on the crispier side and more balsamic vinegar styled. The pork belly sandwich was good, but if you're not wanting a fatty meat I wouldn't recommend. Stopped by for lunch Saturday for the first time. A few minutes after we sat we saw a menu get dropped on the floor as people were being seated next to us. That same menu was casually picked up by the waitress and put on the table in front of the customers. Our meal was....ok, not great. I ordered unsweetened tea.....it wasn't good tea but more like water with a bit of tea run through it. Our server spilled out appetizer sauce as she placed our plate. That's ok. But the end was the catfish we ordered wasn't done or even hot on the inside. This will be our last visit. read more

Don't let the quiet exterior of this place fool you. It's not fancy but it has everything you need! There is plenty of room inside for everyone. We stoped in for lunch on a whim with a large group of us that were enjoying the bourbon trail and they were effortlessly able to accommodate all of us. The menu had a great selection and everyone was really happy with what they ordered. I don't think there was anything left on anyone's plates. It obviously gets pretty busy at lunch and I can assume dinner as well. None of that shaken out of a freezer bag, bread crumb covered, this'll do in a pinch junk! These are the real deal! We tried this place recently for dinner and liked it. The location was within walking distance to our place which was convenient. They have a spacious dining room. We were seated near the front windows which had nice view. Unfortunately, the sun was setting and it was in our faces the entire time. The loaded brown barrel appetizer was good. The chicken piccata and nachos were tasty. My wife's salad came out frozen. However, we were able to thaw it out in the sun from our table location. Overall, we had a good experience. read more

My significant other and I were looking for a new restaurant to try for lunch last weekend and came across this gem in Midway. The restaurant has a beautiful bourbon distillery-feeling look to it. It feels like the most central Kentucky decor possible. The food was amazing. We started with the fried mushrooms because they are a favorite of both of ours. We were expecting the traditional, still frozen Sysco ones that come from many restaurants. But these were so different in a good way! The batter is homemade using West Sixth beer and it's amazing. The sauce is good, but I do wish it had more of a horseradish kick to it. I got the black bean burger with fries and mac and cheese. The burger was good, but oh my goodness, the sides were amazing! Especially the mac and cheese. I would go back just for that! My boyfriend got the cuban sandwich with tots. When it came out, he was confused because a cuban is typically not served on a bun. But, he said it was still delicious. He did have side envy, though. The fries and the mac and cheese were both better than the standard tots that he got. But, he did get a TON of them! We ate a ton and couldn't eat dessert there, but I got a piece of the blueberry cobbler cheesecake to go. Now, I'm not sure what's "cobbler" about it, but it was very good. I have no complaints or compliments about the service. On the day we were there, it was fine. I'd like to go back a few more times, as I know that service entirely depends on who is working that day.
