The staff at this location are very rude. I ordered a bowl of oatmeal and forgot to tell them I wanted raisins. So when my order was ready I asked them for raisins and the man behind the counter yelled at me and told me they were $1. (Of course I had no issue with the cost even though I think it's ridiculous to charge for a handful of raisins but that's not why I'm writing this.) Instead of handing me some raisins the man yelled at me. I was taken aback so I just took my oatmeal and walked off. It's unfortunate that the customers are treated this way. It's as spacious as Yelpers say but be aware that on a weekend morning you may find it a little difficult to find an empty table.. People tend to complain about the long lines here, but personally I was very happy about the long line because the menu was so extensive that I still didn't know what I wanted even when we got to the counter! Love that you can come here for breakfast or lunch food at any time, but that definitely also makes decision making more tricky. I finally decided on the 2 eggs + cream cheese and chives platter with hash browns and biscuits. All the indecision was worth it when I finally saw the huge plate full of eggs and not one but two biscuits. Everything was delicious and I have no complaints at all. While it may not be the fanciest brunch ever, it has a very authentic, homey taste that can't be beat. I'm not trying to be critical, but I have to admit I am surprised this place has such a long wait! It's not especially good, cheap, or fast. Basically, you order at the counter, give your name, and find a table. Then, you wait until your name is called. The overall ambiance is thrown together: wooden tables with leftover brunch, babies screaming, and lots of people walking to get their order. It's definitely not a place to linger or talk casually with a friend. I had the huevos rancheros, which was completely disappointing. So little food, and my beans and eggs were completely overcooked. I actually had made my own huevos the day before, and it tasted better (that's a low bar, trust). The cinnamon coffee smelled delicious but I preferred the regular coffee. My friend got the biscuits, which were ginormous but in her words, "meh". Overall, my meal cost about $14 and wasn't super filling, so I can't even recommend it on price. The meal portions are quite big so order with caution. We ordered half the order of chicken fried steak, build your own omelette with a side of hash brown (a must) with rolls and one regular pancake. Also a jumbo orange juice haha. The food came out really fast. They call your name by the counter for you to pick up your order. Everything were pretty decent and like I said the portion size is big. I've been here twice, and each time left completely satisfied! The 1st time I created my own omelette. I added mushrooms, jalapenos, bell peppers, cheese, and ham. BEST. OMELETTE. EVAR! On this wonderful Sunday morning I decided to try The Buffalo Grille because A) it got some good reviews on Mr. Yelp and B) it is right next door to HEB which I do my sunday grocery shopping. Then you pick your seet at the available tables and wait until they call your name over the speaker. Easy enough. The line wasn't long and only took about 5 minutes waiting. I order 2 blueberry pankcakes...er, "Hot Cakes" with a side of homemade hashbrowns. Most of the tables were full at this time so I had to sit in the adjacent outdoor section which they do have covered up due to the weather. It wasn't my first choice and the table was pretty sticky but whatever. It is what it is. Waited for about 10 minutes and got my food. The pancakes are pretty big (photo attached). Again I order 2 and barely ate the second one. It was good. The hashbrowns were not good and I barely touched them...I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting. BLEGH! I'm well aware of why people only seem to write positive reviews on breakfast/brunch here. Went for lunch. Friend was going to order a kid's cheeseburger, well aware of the $1.50 upcharge. But then they said lettuce would cost another dollar too! It would've ended up the same price as the adult burger. Ridic. And the order taker was slightly obnoxious about it. Nasty personality in general. I ordered a buffalo burger, b/c that's like my favorite burger ever... NO WAY what I consumed was buffalo. It didn't taste like buffalo. I'm impressed! This place I have passed numerous times not thinking anything about but decided to give it a try last week for lunch and WOW! I had the pecan crusted chicken with mashed potatoes and some butternut squash, all of it was delicious! My g/f had Chicken fried chicken which she loved as well! We got chilaquiles (super uber spicy!), 2 pancakes and the special which was 3 eggs, 2 pork chops and hash browns. It was too much food, but we tried our best at finishing it all. Lunch time wasn't too crowded during the week. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning about 11:30am and there was a line coming out the door which only got longer. I'd recommend coming early. The only thing I had issues with were the customers. Most seemed completely retarded or at the very least suffered from mild head trauma earlier in life. It's set up where you order your food at the counter and pick it up when they call your name. There's many signs asking not to "save your table until after you've ordered".
