Texas shaped waffle.

The layout of ordering is so odd. No sort of line just standing between tables waiting for a cashier. Not super organized. Food was just fine. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad. Waffle I could have gotten at a hotel breakfast was disappointing. But coffee was nice.

Whether it's for a quick breakfast or a casual lunch, The Buffalo Grille is definitely a local haunt for the neighborhood. The format is simple: order at the counter, find a table, fetch your own water and condiments and eventually someone will call out your name to pick up the food. It's a sizeable spot with plenty of seating and some limited outdoor seating as well. It might feel like a senior citizen's hour sometimes (#1) and it's very family oriented. There's never an issue with the parking and the bathrooms are also decent. Occasionally there are lines during the weekend, but I've managed to come here line-free most of the time. The menu is a solid variety of American brunch favorites, along with a touch of Mexican breakfast and some sandwiches, salads, and soups. The food isn't glamorous by any stretch but some things worth noting: * Buffalo burger is a thin "buffalo meat" patty that feels no different than a regular patty. Not worth it. * Their hashbrowns are super crispy and I wish the portion was a bit more. * Huevos rancheros and huevos con papa are not mind blowing, but the I do love the sausage patties. No thanks on the migas with those excessive onions. * When in doubt, go with an omelette. They're hearty, affordable, and stuffed quite nicely. I love the counter where all the condiments, drinks, and utensils are. The have a bunch of hot sauce bottles and a hot syrup dispenser. I love being able to get the water and napkins at my leisure versus summoning the staff for more. They're a nice bunch but I've had enough order snafus here to expect a mishap here and there. This isn't going to be priority spot for the weekend brunch hour or weekday lunch, but it'll do whenever I'm looking for food in West U. __________ (#1) Ok. All the time.

My friends and I came here after a Saturday morning workout so we were hungry. Overall good cafe for work. Noise level - did not measure but many conversations in the restaurant Wifi speed - 120 down 120 up is impressive Power plugs - did not see any Seats - 40-50 indoors Parking - free, many strip mall lots Our food came within 15 mins of waiting. My omelette was delicious. The short stack of pancakes is not short at all. We had a good meal. I'd probably come back to have another breakfast during the weekday and bring my own battery to work and when the noise level is lower. But I'll definitely come back here for the food!

I love the Buffalo grille! My boyfriend recommended it originally since we drive past it a lot. Said the breakfast was really good so when my dad was in town we decided to try it. I had the BYO scramble with pretty much every topping in it lol my dad had a blueberry pancake the first time we went. The scramble is delishhhh. My dad enjoyed his pancake so much he decided we should go back. I had pretty much the same thing again but with cheesy grits and was still good. He had a classic breakfast and it was just what he wanted. The coffee is fine, they have some flavored roasts. Nothing fancy. They also have a variety of other stuff on their menu so would definitely want to come back try some more out. The service is always fast. You order at the counter and the food is usually out within 5-10 min tops.

Large portions. Good value. A consistent place for many years (even in the new location). A Texas treasure and local gem.

Not a single soggy fry on my plate. And the 7 oz. burger? Cooked to a perfect medium-rare, with all those delicious juices spilling out in every bite... DIVINITY. The location itself was super cute--very Southern charm tucked into the middle of such an urban city. Our waitress handled all seven of us like a pro, kept everything moving, and somehow found that perfect balance of being attentive without constantly hovering. P.S. half of my coworkers ordered their craft burgers and the other half went with their pizzas--pretty solid choice. Crust was sourdough and the toppings were varied. The tops were DUCK AND BALSAMIC, SAUSAGE AND BURRATA, PEAR AND BLEU

The food was delicious all around. The fried pork chops were perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside. They were served with creamy mashed potatoes, flavorful gravy, and fresh green beans that were cooked just right. The pot roast was fall-apart tender, rich with flavor, and served over mashed potatoes with perfectly cooked vegetables. We also enjoyed the roasted Brussels sprouts, black-eyed peas, and the hot skillet cornbread, which was fresh, buttery, and absolutely worth ordering. The kids loved their meals too! The hamburger was cooked well, and the chicken tenders were crispy, juicy, and definitely kid-approved. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the meal. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Thanks to my sister-in-law and her husband for introducing us to this gem. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!

Our server was great, I can't remember his name, but he joked around with us the whole time and made the experience a lot more fun. Good service can really make a meal, and he definitely did. I asked him for his favorite menu item, and he recommended the Houston Cowboy Burger. It had really good flavor, and I enjoyed it overall. It was definitely on the spicy side (which makes sense with the jalapeños), but if you like a little heat, I'd recommend it. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had, but it was solid and I'd order it again. My only real complaint was that it was pretty loud inside. There was a game on, so there was a lot of cheering and noise, which made it feel a little overstimulating. That said, it's more of a sports bar atmosphere, so I don't really fault them for it, we just weren't there to watch the game. Overall, we had a good time, enjoyed the food and service, and I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

We looked at other reviews before going and went with an app we didn't hear much about, but an entree that we did hear amazing things about. Appetizer: everyone talks about the dilly bread but honestly, the puff puff pass sounded better, esp the scotch bonnet aioli. 10/10 loved the flavors together, esp the fried bread with the aioli Entrees: we had the pork belly special and the nono's pasta. Everyone raves about the pasta and rightfully so. The noodles with the right amount of bolognese was such a flavorful comfort food. The pork belly was also delicious but the pasta hit better. Dessert: of course i had to get both! We got the famous olive oil cake and their banana rum cheesecake. We didnt taste much banana unfortunately but the cheesecake was tasty. Had a 5:30pm resy, seated outside right away that Saturday evening--it was a full house 45 minutes later. You'd be a fool to skip the dilly bread--a complete fool! The rolls are pillowy and warm. I could eat the butter by the pint. The fingerlinging potato dish is also a must have...pretty small for $19 but tastes like heaven. Spicy! Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! Until next time, Nobie!

The team behind the popular restaurant Nobie's opened up this tiki inspired restaurant. Tiki bars happen to be one of my favorite varieties of bars so I was more than excited to finally check it off my list. I had recently seen them on the Food Network as well. They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!

We had an amazing server, delicious drinks (a must try), and ok food. We ordered four drinks the painkilla, vamos à la playa, captains grog, and the Hemingway daiquiri. All were great drinks and we loved how they give you flavor characteristics of the drinks on the menu. The appetizers that we ordered were the sweet and sour cauliflower and the pork dumplings, which is why I gave this place four stars. The presentation of both appetizers were excellent. However, the pork dumplings were disappointing. They came with only six dumplings for $17, were served cold, and are very bland. In my opinion, they weren't worth the price. On the other hand, the sweet and sour cauliflower was our favorite and is definitely a must-try.

I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. The bacon covered dates. Think this was my favorite bite. Sweet, salty, creamy. Came we three & I had two. The pizza was sweet and salty as well. The crust was so good and fresh. The arugula set it off so well. Def a buy again! The Steak Frites was so good. The chimichurri sauce was perfect. Just the right mount of citrus. Steak was tender and the fries seasoned well. The desserts - don't skip them! The Devils Affogato we had the first time we ate at Sixty Vines. Had to have it again. If you like coffee, chocolate and vanilla ice cream just get it. The restaurant itself is cozy, and the entire staff seemed like one big family, which gave it a really welcoming feel. I went with my family, and we started with the calamari and tuna tartare. For my entrée, I ordered the pesto bucatini. If I'm being honest, the food just didn't do it for me. The calamari was simply fried with no noticeable seasoning or standout dipping sauce. The pesto bucatini was pretty underwhelming too. It was very heavy on the mint with just a hint of pistachio crumbs, and the pesto flavor I was hoping for never really came through. Pesto pasta is usually one of my favorite dishes, but this one honestly felt like a waste of carbs. The positives were definitely the service and the atmosphere. I just wish the food had lived up to everything else.
