Nice inside seating with a street view

First time trying this. I don't know why I waited so long - but what do they say? It's worth the wait. I ordered the 2 piece tenders - original hot. They nailed the recipe and I loved the fries. Parking is in the back lot. Very small inside but room for outside sitting as well. Staff was attentive. Ordering was on a tablet. Price is efficient

This place is one of my guilty pleasures lol I used to order from here on Uber eats weekly for their chicken fries. This was the first time I came in and grabbed food. They have private parking in the back. It was actually really crowded when I came in. Mostly packed with people waiting for to go orders and Uber eats drivers. They have kiosks to order on but since I had a birthday coupon I had one of the staff members take my order I ended up getting a coupon for my birthday by signing up for their emails. So I came in and got one order of chicken fries (garlic Parmesan) and then another order (BBQ) and two drinks. I also love their chipotle sauce flavor. They actually have a pretty good selection of flavors to choose from I always order the boneless chicken because I don't like having to work that hard for my food and having to pick chicken off the bones Not going to lie, this place hits the spot after a long day. I always order their boneless chicken salad which is amazing, their boneless chicken wraps and they have great shakes (they also have little pieces of cake for sale up at the counter) I'll always continue to order to go from here. I noticed there is seating outside but I'm not sure if it's for the place next door or they all just share it. Because there's only a limited amount of seating inside

Got some boneless wings lemon pepper flavor and an oreo cookie shake. So delicious, great customer service.

I drive past this spot all the time and every time I get to the light I tell myself, "I have to try it." But for some reason I never do. Last week, I was out running around heading to book club and needed food, so I decided to try this place. It was on its way and easy enough to make me on time. Well, it backfired on me in a big way. Astonishingly good customer service was provided to me. A friendly smile and a warm welcome greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. My orders were correct and a friendly, attentive, and efficient staff supplied everything I needed. In the back, there are about ten parking spots, however, they might fill up quickly and street parking isn't the best option. The patio is limited however well-maintained, with maybe a few tables and chairs. It's an alright spot to enjoy a meal on a warm day. There is minimalist decor inside, with modern furniture and plenty of legroom, along with a public restroom. They had my favorite type of fries, but I don't know the brand, so I'm just going to call them fast-food fries. It took about 10-15 minutes for the 3 tender combo with BBQ sauce to be made, so I waited in the lobby for about 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, I decided to try a Fri, because they were right there, while I waited for my Target pick-up order. It completely underwhelmed me. Despite my high expectations, the fries were a major disappointment. In addition to the texture being unpleasantly rough, the flavor was nonexistent and crispy, but not in a good way. Additionally, the chicken tenders themselves were disappointing. I found them overbreaded and the texture wasn't very natural. Aside from being too crunchy and overpowering, the breading made it hard to enjoy the chicken itself. The chicken was complete lack of seasoning. The biggest issue was the sloppy BBQ sauce. It was like they poured the sauce straight from the bottle into the container without considering the texture or presentation. And don't even get me started on the taste - it was like they just used cheap, store-bought BBQ sauce that lacked any real depth or flavor. The most disappointing part was the price. Tenders and fries cost almost twenty dollars, which is highway robbery. I've had better at a fast food joint for a fraction of the price. Which is why I choose to return the order. One thing that really impressed me was the way the cashier dealt with the situation. Instead of getting angry or upset, he remained calm and professional, offering a refund and was willing to let me keep the food, but I chose to return it. Overall the service was excellent, but I do not plan to return.

Cali Burrito with BBQ flavor chicken.

Buffalo Spot is a great place to get some affordable quick take out. They specialize in their "buffalo fries" which ultimately is a side of fries with some flavored popcorn chicken on top. My go-to is usually the Cali Burrito which is the same ordeal as the Buffalo Fries but just wrapped in a burrito. I've been coming here since about 2016 so I'm not sure if today was just an off-day or if the quality has declined throughout the years as the chicken in my Cali Burrito tasted chewy and was just overall rubbery. It was quite empty upon my visit which is surprising as they're usually pretty popular. I would suggest the owner to stay on top of their quality control in order to avoid serving meh food and to draw the crowds in. Going forward I'll probably order my chicken well done to prevent this in the future. I do encourage people to come try it for themselves though! Their fries are really good and the chicken is usually not this low-quality so again, maybe I just came on an off-day.

As much as I love chicken, this place is fairly good. Not greasy or drenched in saucy sauce(you like the sauce, huh?). Unless request for it prior to placing your order. They will prepare your wings and fries upon ordering. This way, it's fresh and good. So do expect a wait approx. 15 - 20 minutes. I ordered the FP Traditional Wings(25), with Atomic Hot and Original hot flavors with a side of fries and two drinks. Great value. They have great deals on Tuesday and Thursday, so try to come during those days for the best price and experience. This location has rewards programs, so if you're a big fan of wings, it's so worth it. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!

One of the best places in Long Beach for wings. Service and quality is excellent. The staff is super friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere is ideal to sit and watch a game and enjoy some delicious wings.

NEW FLAVORS ALERT The Buffalo Spot just dropped 2 new dry rub flavors and you need to try them ASAP!! The first is a lemon pepper butter rub and it has that delicious tangy and peppery flavor we've all had and love The second is a tropical heat rub that has the perfect balance of spice and kick to it The cool thing is that you can even add the dry rub to your buffalo fries I got there around 11am and there was no line, and I was helped right away. It's a little store, but it was nice and clean. Definitely check them out when you're craving some solid chicken

Buffalo Spot to satisfy that wings craving. Go on Tuesdays for their boneless wing day for 60 cents for each wing. Not sure what flavor you want? You are able to try the different sauces along with the fries. The fries are cooked perfectly unlike other wing places. (looking at you wing-stop) Our food came out surprisingly quick. Along with the great breadsticks it's definitely a place to check out along with the friendly staff.

Visted November 2024. Before diving into the review I have to note that the customer service greeter Luna was amazing, she answered my questions, knew the menu, and was a delight. The food itself was good. I gotta say that shake was stellar and I LOVED that it didn't use a strawberry concentrate but real jelly which included cut strawberry slices within the shake. The same can be said about the chunky peanut butter including its peanuts. The fries were crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. However, it was the seasoning and sauce that were extra super duper yummy. I believe it was their special sauce and Cajun seasoning. I ate it up... The overall restaurant was clean, the restroom itself had a tissue or two on the floor but I'd assume that's because of other customers- not the restaurant workers themselves. Additionally, I counted three of them so I'd give them a break anyways. While the whole graffitied is not my style, I and other costumers enjoyed the sport playing TVs & the funny chicken posters. 5/5 Recap: Yummy Sauce w/ yummy food but needs more funny chicken posters

Ask the Community - The Buffalo Spot - Long Beach

Does the traditional wings has any kind of carbs? Like crust of bread? Or is it just fried wings

Rowzan, Depending on the sauce you choose, they could have carbs from sugars in a particular sauce. From the cooking process, there are no carbs or breading. We marinate our wings, dip them in an egg wash, then deep fry them.

Can you get the 55 cent wings on Tuesday with delivery too?

No, the Tuesday special is only available in store.

Might say I'm doing too much, but when you want something, you just got to get up and do it. I love their chicken wings, especially the Dynamite wings, my number 1 picked for flavor. They have pretty much everything, not just chicken wings, so check them out and explore their menu. Big thanks to aka Candie and her team for the great customer service. Very friendly and easygoing. Was very helpful when asked about their menu or popular items of the day. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, Main: 1. 15 pcs Chicken Wings (5) Dynamite Wings (5) Smokin Spice Wings (5) Jalapeño Peppers Wings Cook fresh upon ordering to give that satisfaction taste. What can I say? Expectations met and satisfied. Their freshly cook when ordered to deliver that crispy flavorful wings are out of this world. Im more of the dry-rubbed type of guy cause I'll do the moisturizing with their ranch dipping on the side or extra sauce of your choice upon request. IYKYK! I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is limited, so best to come during non rush hour. I was deciding on lunch with the fam and my aunt recommended SoCal Wings. After browsing their…read moremenu, I was sold and placed a phone order. Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I ended up just eating some of the fries and threw the rest away. Before tossing it, I tried drenching the fries in their Cajun sauce (which is over $1 per sauce, btw), and even though I really wanted to like it, it had a weird aftertaste. On top of that, I just couldn't get past how hard the chicken was. The Thai tea, fries, and mozzarella sticks were just decent. I'd also like to mention that when I was placing my order over the phone, the man said my total was $67 and some change. When I paid in person, the total somehow jumped to $83.69. I assumed that included the Cajun sauces I ordered over the phone, but it actually didn't. I ended up paying a second transaction for the sauces, which was around $8. Had I possibly been charged for the side of attitude I was also served? To reiterate: the service here sucks. Overall, I won't be back as the quality doesn't match prices. You'd think that a joint that specializes in fried chicken and wings would serve fresh chicken but on the contrary, my chicken was inedible, gross, and clearly old. I love supporting local businesses, but I refuse to support a place that exhibits rude customer service and serves subpar frozen food that I could throw together at home. I don't recommend this spot as there are much better establishments in the area.

I ordered the 10-piece, splitting it between the Dirty Elvis and the Spicy Cambodian Dirt, along with an order of fried rice. Let me just say this... the Dirty Elvis is hands down the best wing I've ever had. I'd never had wok-tossed wings before, and now I get the hype. They came out piping hot, perfectly glazed, incredibly sticky, and absolutely loaded with flavor. The Spicy Cambodian Dirt was just as impressive with an amazing dry rub and the perfect amount of heat--enough to let you know it's there without overpowering the flavor. The crazy part? These wings honestly don't even need ranch. But I'm a ranch guy, so I ordered both the regular ranch and the lemongrass ranch. Big mistake... because now they've ruined ranch for me too. Both were incredible. And can we talk about the fried rice? So many wing spots throw fried rice on the menu as an afterthought. Not here. This was some of the best fried rice I've had--perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. The food is outstanding, but what really makes this place special is the people. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the whole restaurant had an awesome vibe. You can tell this place is loved, and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a wait during busy hours. I'm not trying to glaze this place... but the way those Dirty Elvis wings were glazed, they earned every bit of this review. This was my first visit, and I'm already thinking about having my birthday lunch here so my family can experience it too. That's how good it was. Shlap Muan didn't just serve me great wings--they completely changed my standards. I honestly don't think I can go back to chain wing spots after this.

The good: For starters, the wings were cooked perfectly and…read morevery meaty. I ordered the 5-6 family pack plus 2 orders of the wok tossed wings and 4 extra wings. We picked them up and ate them the following day. Popped them in the oven and they came out nice and crispy. I bet they are even better when fresh. The sauces and dry rubs were all delicious and flavorful. I live in SD, so I wanted to try all of the sauces. I don't know when I'll be back lol. The side dipping sauces were also really good. The lemongrass ranch, regular ranch, sweet chili, and water buffalo. The not so good: We got fried rice and garlic noodles. They were both supposed to have chicken on them, but they ran out of chicken. We opted to switch them to shrimp and unfortunately they forgot the shrimp on the garlic noodles which we did end up paying for. The fried rice was okay, but kind of bland. It didn't pack the fried rice flavor we were expecting. The garlic noodles were also just okay. They were not as flavorful as people rave about in my opinion. The shrimp were delicious though. They were cooked perfectly, they were nice and plump, and flavorful. We also got a side of fries and they were just basic fries. Nothing bad about them just basic. The bad: Ordering on their website is a pain in the butt. There are wing flavors missing, sides missing, no side dipping sauces to choose from, and overall the ordering platform just isn't very good. Ordering the family pack had no option to choose the sides except fries. It gave options of water buffalo, sweet chili, and orange habanero for side sauces. I chose all three. There were not options to chose ranch or lemon grass ranch. When ordering that amount of wings, you should be able to choose more than 4 flavors too. If I'm ordering 72 wings I want to be able to get all the different options. Even with the 10 person family pack you can on select a certain amount. Packaging wise the wing boxes weren't labeled so we pretty much had to guess the flavors which was a bit of a let down because I would have liked to know what flavor I was eating. The only obvious ones were the wok tossed ones. They also forgot my water buffalo wings. Luckily I ordered some side sauces. Service: I called to ask about the sides and explain the difficulty I was having with ordering. The lady was super nice and said she would update the ordering platform and call me back when it was ready. She did update it, but I never received a call back. I just kept checking the website. Overall: 5 stars for flavor 2 stars for packaging 3 stars for service 1 star for ordering platform. I will go back for the wings, but it will be in store because it took me hours to get the order completed, a few different phone calls, and the order still wasn't right.

What made the experience even worse was that there was no apology, no discount, and no compensation for the inconvenience. Mistakes happen, but treating customers disrespectfully and making no effort to make things right is unacceptable. This experience left a very bad impression, and I hope management addresses both the customer service and order accuracy at this location.
