The difference between the two stores is night and day. The employees at Pet Supplies Plus are friendly, knowledgeable and obviously enjoy their work environment. I find that they are very helpful and communicate well. Additionally, the selection that Pet Supplies Plus has is unbeatable and their prices are better, too. My favorite thing is the rewards program that Pet Supplies Plus has. It actually does benefit the customer tremendously and I estimate that I save $100 shopping at Pet Supplies Plus instead of PetCo. PSP's rewards program is far better than PetCo's and they make it easy whether shopping in store, curbside or delivery. I also feel more responsible spending my money with Pet Supplies Plus, and not a conglomerate that breeds cats and then "puts them up for adoption" in their stores. The manager and her staff are awesome and they remember who you are and greet you. The store is spotless and they've managed to keep the needs of my pets met even during a pandemic and supply change shortage. Unlike other stores, Pet Supplies Plus has great customer service and the store will personally call you to go over an order in the event a substitution is needed. I really appreciate that. Upon walking into the fish area I first noticed the dwarf gouramis were in the very first tank and the only cover they had was a heater in the back corner which about 10 of them were trying to hide behind. There was so much algae in all the tanks and so many of the fish were in obvious distress either through hiding or floating oddly. I wanted to get many more pictures but also didn't want to cause a scene. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable but I would use extreme caution if purchasing any thing from this store.
