I also got a glass of wine, which was happy hour prices and very reasonable when my Dish arrived. It was hilarious instead of a steak. It looked like a cow penis! It tasted fine although it was a little past the "medium" I had requested. They delivered it with a bottle of A1 sauce without me requesting it. that further indicating this is a very basic basic restaurant since at fine dining establishments with steak they are offended if you order A1 sauce! I like how the kitchen is visible so if you're seated at the bar, you can see the chef cooking. No cutting corners with how they cook! The beef patty was at a nice medium, seasoned well with that kind of melt in your mouth bite. The mushrooms were sautéed to my liking. The only gripe I have would be the patty to bun ratio. Def more bun. They're not skimping on the fries - more than one should eat in a sitting. You could easily walk away with 2 meals if split. Quiet vibe, with that true Rancho local feel.

There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger.
