Got a super salad with grilled chicken. Wouldn't exactly characterize it as fresh. Wilted lettuce and black spots all through my avocado. Looked through the reviews and this has been a problem for years, apparently. Not worth a first visit, and definitely not a return visit.

    Way too much mustard

Didn't even ask for mustard with my tuna sandwich but they decided to add it on there. I asked for spinach red onion and cucumber

Im always hesitant ordering sandwiches. Sometimes it can be disappointing but this place did not disappoint. I got the Vegan Vibes sandwich. Let me say this, I've never had so much avocado at a great price. Lol. Everything about this sandwich was filling and really tasty. Even the vegan Gouda. I got it on a Gluten Free roll and it was really soft and not dense at all. I do wish it came with mustard or oil/vinegar but it was still a damn good sandwich nonetheless. I had to eat it in 2 parts as it was so filling. Service was quick and painless. When I'm back in town, definitely stopping here again

So glad I found a local Beach Hut Deli. I moved recently from the Bay Area and have been missing that location greatly. Fresh and plentiful food and the best salads. I really love this chain. This was my second visit to this location...okay, in two days, yes. So excited I found it I went back the next day. Both days I ordered the Sunrise on Dutch Crunch roll. The sandwich is so fresh, it is a pleasure to enjoy. The meat included (in this case, turkey, ham, and bacon) is so generously added, it can be hard to hold the sandwich while one eats it. A great problem to have. The sandwiches I had were 6" and 8" these days and they were more than enough. The first I got the Chef Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette (I am in love!) which was huge and taken home for dinner. Good move on my part as it is filling and again, fresh and tasty. When a salad is ordered, one is even given three choices of lettuce: Romaine, Iceberg, or Spring Mix. The Lemon Vinaigrette is one of my most favorite new fines for sure. There are about ten outside tables and some umbrellas to enjoy eating at the location. I'll be back so often!

Man so disappointed I have to leave this review. Went in and was expecting a decent bill due to all the costs going up and I usually go to the one on Fulton or in Folsom. So ordered my family's sandwiches and then ordered mine. Got nothing fancy but just a blt because beach hut is the only sandwich shop that makes a decent one that rivals what I make at home. Get home open my sandwich and boom barely enough bacon to make one half sandwich... gotta say that's the first time ever that's happened at beach hut. Hope this is an outlier but today was a terrible disappointment. Image shows the half sandwich and that's got both halves of bacon on just one side.

A go to for our family. Solid sandwiches and a decent beer menu. They've always for a game on.

Upon arrival, the banh mi was bagged up with jalapeños on the side as requested. They weren't marked, so it was a little tricky to tell which sandwich was which. I ate the crispy pork banh mi which was delicious. The bread and pork was crispy, the veggies were nice and pickled, and there was a good amount of mayo for savoriness in the sandwich. My brothers liked the beef one, but not the house special, which had assorted meats. Overall, service was quick and friendly and the restaurant had plenty of tables and chairs; would recommend if you need a quick bite!

There is a few tables available with two chairs at each table. I got the crispy pork sandwich. Normally when I get a Vietnamese sandwich my meat is warm and my bread is warm. But when I received it the meat was room temperature and so was the bread. I was praying I didn't get a stomach ache because the meat was probably left out for a bit if it was room temperature. It had a nice crisp to it. The bread was alright. But if you look at the picture there was barely any meat . When they put the pickled carrots and daikon in they got the extra pickled juice in my sandwich. You can see it's kind of watery. The sandwich is price wasn't too bad. But I had better sandwiches. Overall I probably won't be back.

This specific Sandwich Spot location was one of my original favorite sandwich shops of all time…read more My friend Ashley and I used to always come here and split a Cougar on Dutch Crunch, sub pastrami for turkey. Feeling nostalgic, I recently decided to have lunch here. I asked for a Cougar with pastrami instead of turkey. "You want a number 26?" (Looks at menu) "Yes, with pastrami instead of turkey." "Number 26, right?" When I had walked in, I saw two girls cleaning. One of them had stopped to take my order. After taking my order, she continued to clean for exactly ten minutes before stopping, washing her hands, and beginning to prepare my sandwich. (I'm positive that it was exactly ten minutes before she even *started* to make my sandwich, because I get a text message the minute my card is charged, so it's easy to just look at the text, and see how much time has elapsed.) As she finished making my sandwich, another guest came in. After she placed her order, the second girl washed her hands, and both girls made her sandwich together. While I had waited nearly fifteen minutes for my sandwich, this girl waited for less than two. It was so odd. As I ate my sandwich, both girls behind the counter stared at me so hard that I seriously wondered if they had done something funky to my sandwich. So, all of that was very strange. But the sandwich was good. None of the ingredients were missing. The veggies were all in ridiculously tiny quantities in comparison to the super smearing of sauce, but, it was all there, and it tasted good. When it comes to sandwiches, in terms of the meat, you get what you pay for. Sandwich Spot uses cheaper meat than some fancier delis do, but they also use a larger quantity of it. So, if you would rather have a large amount of okay pastrami versus a medium amount of great pastrami, then, Sandwich Spot is the spot for you. If you're really into premium lunch meat, though, this isn't it. The pastrami tasted like it could have come from the fridge section at Winco or Walmart. Overall, for a cheaper/lower-end sandwich place, Sandwich Spot is still one of my favorites. I love their menu, and haven't found a sandwich quite like the Cougar anywhere else.

I hadn't been here in nearly 10 years and was looking forward to a nostalgic lunch, but…read moreunfortunately, this visit was a major letdown. I ordered the Barracuda, and my wife got the General Lee. Both sandwiches were served on Dutch crunch rolls that were so hard, they were nearly inedible -- my wife couldn't even finish hers because the bread hurt her mouth. Mine left the roof of my mouth sore, but I pushed through since it wasn't exactly a cheap meal. The fillings didn't help either -- the meat tasted like it had been sitting for a while especially the roast beef, and the vegetables were wilted and lifeless. The macaroni salad tasted identical to the store-bought Reser's brand, with that unmistakable aftertaste, which was disappointing. Overall, nothing felt fresh. Everything had the vibe of being prepped a day or two ago and just left to sit. I truly wish we had just gone to the grocery store instead. Sadly, this place didn't live up to the memories, and I won't be returning. Lesson learned.
