If I could give this place zero stars I would. Me and my friends came many hours to eat at this restaurant. We walked in the restaurant at 5:30 p.m. We ordered our food at 5:40 p.m. They gave us our table number and told us it was going to be a long wait but we said it was fine because we had nothing else better to do. We had already gone boating that day so we were very hungry and eager. We heard great things about the restaurant so we were willing to wait. There were many other large group getting there food so we became suspicious. It had already been 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES. We went to the cashier to ask if our food was coming soon. A tall man with blue eyes and blonde hair said he would check. He looked around, told us he couldn't find it, and went to the back room for 5 minutes. We waited longer. When this man eventually came back he had 3 milkshakes and walked right past us. We went back to the cashier and the other man working with brown hair and a red bandana said we could re-order our food and it would be out soon. We continued to wait. After another 45 minutes we became furious. But of course we kept our cool. We were done. We asked if our food was close to being ready yet we kept getting the same answer. "It'll be 10-20 minutes". At 8:00 p.m. we asked for a refund. We asked the girl who took our order at 5:40 p.m. She was rude and unapologetic. We didn't care that we had been waiting and waiting. When we explained that our order receipts had been lost she continued to be rude say "Our system is slow". EXCUSE ME BUT WE ASKED ABOUT OUR ORDER 3 TIMES. We got our refund and left immediately. We were so hungry from waiting we had no choice but to go to McDonald's. At McDonald's our order only took five minutes. Don't go to burger dock go to McDonald's. read more

Cute place with a nice outdoor seating area. Fast and good service. Fries were our favorite. Burgers were kind of on the small side, but still pretty good... definitely better than a lot of the burger places around town. Because of our mediocre palette, we did not enjoy the organic carbonated drink. Next time, we'll order beer with the burger and fries. read more

Walked in and the entire crew working the front seemed to be between 16 and 18. Ordered quick and waited, the guy working the counter and fryer was just standing around most of the time and took a while to fill up the trays of burgers when they came out. We could tell our food was up at the counter but he was just staring around and waiting for more fries to be done. Finally called out our name after about 5 minutes. Burgers were smaller than average. Old tin can was very good, lots of lettuce. The popper (highly recommend) and sunrise were excellent. The Bee was average, not much flavor. Huckleberry and peanut butter shake were delicious, root beer float just ok. The fries were shoestring and had some good seasoning, the secret sauce that came with them was like a tartar/fry/mustard which was very good. Worth it for the right burger and the fries. Service sucked though, dysfunctional and slow. read more

Don't have an expectation that you will get your fries before you finish eating your burger. Apparently that's a bit much to ask for even when the fries are done and sitting in the basket on the fryer. Management 101 - properly train your crew. I'll start by saying: I need to give this place another try. We went on what turned out to be a busy weekday afternoon. The place was very crowded, so we could only secure outdoor seating. That wasn't a problem, but it was one of those days we get up here where a 5-20 minute rain storm seems to materialize from nowhere. Fortunately, we didn't get hit with more than a couple of drops. My wife and I both ordered The Outlaw, which was alright. Not the best burger I've ever had, but that's why I'm saying I need to give this place another shot. The problem we had was in feeling hurried in the ordering process. As it stands, you go in, walk up to the counter, grab one of the menus there and then order from the person standing right in front of you. As much as they told me to take my time, I could feel the pressure of impatience fomenting in the long line of people behind me. "This guy new here or something? God! Just order something already, why don't you?" No one actually said that, but that's how I felt. And here's the thing: The menu is worth taking a long look at, because they've got some very interesting burger concoctions on there. The show stealer for me though were the French fries. They were the closest thing to In & Out Burger fries I've had anywhere, and I nearly gorged myself on those before my burger even arrived at the table. The atmosphere here is nice, and the restrooms (first come first serve) were very clean. It doesn't sport itself as a quiet sit down place, and so doesn't feel like one. Indoor seating seemed plentiful, just taken when I was there. Lots of seats at the bar, and even more outside with nice view of the river and marina. The overall quality of the food was excellent, I just feel like I ordered the wrong thing. It happens. The fountain drinks were good, but definitely a departure from the Coke/Pepsi stands by you might be used to. I didn't catch the brand, but all of the flavors were organic with things like cherry cream soda, and natural cola. I think there was even one drink with cucumber in it. Overall, I would say this place is for the hungry person looking for a quick bite. If you've just spent the day swimming and playing at City Beach, Burger Dock is just a short walking distance away. Very friendly and attentive service, it's hard not to recommend this place. read more

Good food, great location. My only feedback would be they seemed to be understaffed on the day we were there over Labor Day. Took longer than usual for food and no drinks came and when we told them they forgot our drinks they weren't what we ordered, but we rolled with it as you could tell the staff were super busy. Stopped by today for lunch with the hubby, dropped $40 (definitely pricey) and was truly disappointed I ordered the veggie burger and he ordered a regular burger. Was surprised to see them cooked next to each other on the grill I ordered a huckleberry vegan shake and when they brought it out it was strawberry When I told the girl behind the counter that I had ordered huckleberry, I just got a blank stare. The Burger is bad they screw up orders, and when I got two burgers one with just cheese and sause, the gave two bacon cheese burgers with onion. but it took 40 minutes to make two burgers at one order at a time. Next Me and my friend found hair in both of our separate burgers, and the food is unseasoned and cold and uncooked was frankley almost inedible and Downright Horrible. First time trying this new burger joint. Sadly.. we were not impressed. Customer service was terrible. Gal at the counter didn't say one word. Or look up. Didn't even acknowledge our existence, didn't even know where to begin to order or look for a menu. Ordered two burgers and a kids menu item. Both burgers had things we requested to be removed. The popper burger came with everything on it we request to be removed. Plus other stuff? The bacon cheese burger had extras on it.. the kids meal was the grossest thing I'd ever seen. Burnt to a crispt tiny little corn dog things and an apple the size of a 50cent piece that looked at though it was found in the back yard. Asked for our items to be togo. They were not in Togo containers. Asked for something to put them in, a kid handed us a couple boxes at the pick up counter and said "you got this right?" And walked off. No kitchen staff were wearing gloves or hair nets. The front doors also let in huge amounts of cotton from surrounding trees that filled the kitchen and I'm sure food. Just disappointed. read more

I'm really torn on the rest of the review. I had the popper burger which had jalepenos and jalepeno cream cheese, bacon and apricot jelly. I asked and was told the burger would be hot. It had no heat. None. I suspect this could vary by day. But on this day it was just overly sweet as the jelly had no heat to cut so was kinda the whole show. I am not typically big on burgers, but my husband is so I joined for the spectacular view. I ended up ordering "the Bee" (Brie, arugula, honey aioli) and I literally haven't stopped thinking about it since! I have never craved a burger in my life, but I can't wait to go back for another one of these. I agree with some other reviewers that it could have been bigger; I was definitely tempted to order a second, but can just ask for double patties in the future. My husband had a bacon something or other and also loved it (and he's eaten a LOT of burgers). We sure hope this place sticks around! read more

I have never seen a place with so many staff yet the service is not great. Next, you have very good vegetarian burgers but the bun was old and stale which ruined it.
