Sat at the bar for a quick drink and to kill some time. there were 8 people at the bar, I sat down at 5:44pm and was finally approaches at 5:52p. no hello, sorry for the wait, nothing. there aren't enough people in here to have anyone delay. when the door opens and a customer walks into a bar, look up and acknowledge with a hello, ill be right with you. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by my experience here. Let's start from the beginning. I'm used to someone getting you when you arrive and giving you menus. That didn't happen. There was a foul smell near the kitchen. When I received my soda it was flat. I asked if I can get another soda from a different fountain I was told that basically all of the soda fountains are flat. I would go again. Dinner for two. Place was very clean and fairly spacious. The booths had very high walls so if you want privacy, you got it. Me, I wanted to see the TVs. Lol. Was visiting from out of town and was recommended to try this by a friend. All of the food choices sounded delicious! From nachos, to steak, to sandwiches! I ended up getting a pulled short rib sandwich. It was very tasty but the sauce felt like it was missing something (not too sweet and not to spicy kinda just there). The seasoned fries and the side choices were amazing. For an appetizer we split the Mac and Cheese egg rolls! Mmm chef kiss. My partner got the smokehouse stacked bbq burger. He said it was good but really loaded with toppings so be prepared to press/smush it down. The chips that came with his were nice and crunchy. Grilled chicken wrap with Cesar salad inside was good. The salad was very creamy and substantial. The short rib grilled cheese was also eaten at our table and was very substantial. Place lets underage people in but not 21 year olds from out of state (New Jersey). I live an hour and a half away and was visiting a friend for her 21st and was denied because I wasn't in-state. I showed two valid forms of state identification and they told me they remember when they tried to get in bars underage. Get your act together. Lost over 20 people worth of business because they didn't like their 4 out-of-state 21+ year old friends in. Ridiculous. read more

The baked beans were a little dry and the baby back ribs were decent but not as good as the other meats. I wouldn't get either again. First time to Bailey's and we'll definitely be back. My family and I split The Table Buster- pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, sausage and ribs with seasoned fries and 3 large sides! So much food wow! The pulled pork was 10/10! The sausage was a little on the spicy side. For the sides, we got baked beans, corn soufflé and roasted broccoli. The roasted broccoli was extremely hard and salty. We notified our waitress and she quickly switched it out for another side at no additional charge. The staff were extremely friendly. There is a large bar, but also many tables. The music was a little on the hard to hear what my table was saying but they adjusted it as the meal went on without us saying anything. Went to Baileys and met Terry. Great person, however once she put our order and left it all went down hill. We arrived at 7:11pm and was seated in the second room closer to the kitchen. there was a table of 8 already eating when we arrived. there was 3 other tables of 2 and a table of 4 seated after us. Those tables one after the other got served their meal before us. One table even had a mistake with their drink order and it was quickly resolve. My dad and ordered hard apple ciders. Nicole came by after 15 mins of his glass being empty and asked if he wanted a refill but took another 20 mins to get it to him. The refill only came after he got up twice to ask about what was delaying the meal. The waitress tried to explain that there was glitch in the system which made no sense because Terry told my dad while he was on the way bathroom that the potato au grautin was no longer available and put his order in on the POS in real time. At 9:00pm Nicole came out and brought the wrong order. I ordered the sampler for one, brisket, pulled pork, and st. Louis ribs and my sides were sweet potato fries and cold slaw. The orders were all jacked up. In the end, our meal and drinks were free after 2.5hours and we were more than prepared to pay for the meal. What I mean by this is no matter where I go (vacation, day trip, move to a new town), I seek out bbq joints that know bbq and make it right (think, center-cut ribs, dry rubbed, smoked chicken, you get the point). Having been in Rockland for about two years, I tried all of the bbq restaurants here (not many around) and ventured out to the nearby Jersey ones too. Before Bailey's, I found one that comes close to offering what satisfies ne but doesn't go all the way. Bailey's checked all the boxes, and I have been delighted with their offering. And then, I ordered their whole hog, and since then, I have not been the same. This was a bbq dream come true. The meats were perfect, the portion was overwhelming, and knowing I had all I could consume and did not finish it was so satisfying that it makes me want to get this over and over again (in just looking for folks to come along so that have a justifiable reason to order this again). The New City location has a good atmosphere, friendly staff, and fast service. The sides and appetizers are delicious too. You can't go wrong with spare or baby back ribs. The spicy southern greens are fantastic. If you're getting froes, go for the seasoned version. The entire bar is excellent, and their beer selection is awesome. read more

First time here, had a terrific barbecue meal with three different meats, and very good sides (huge variety of sides). The ribs were tender and flavorful and the great thing is it nothing was over powered by barbecue sauce. Also price were reasonable and I got so much food with the three meats meal that it can feed me for a couple of lunches.
