My friend suggested this spot. We came here on a Friday night and there was actually an event happening so we were seated upstairs in the bar area. We ended up ordering the BBQ Platter For 2 ($43), which comes with 4 meats and two sides. We got the sausage, brisket, pulled short rib and spare ribs. Everything was delicious, I really liked the sausage and pulled short ribs. For our sides we got Mac & cheese and corn soufflé which were both solid. Add hot sauce to the Mac & cheese for more flavor. Overall had a solid meal and for the price, you can't get that deal in many places. I highly recommend Bailey's if you're in the mood for good bbq with chill vibes without breaking the bank. * 4.5 Stars * BBQ sauce available upon request * Parking on premise

Bailey's Smokehouse is another local spot I used to frequent when I lived in the Hudson Valley. We went on a Saturday afternoon after Jo started craving ribs--and this was the one place I remembered having amazing ribs. Guess what? It's STILL true. There's still plenty of parking and seating, both inside and outside. We were seated promptly and quickly ordered our drinks and food. We started with the Southwestern egg rolls and followed up with the sampler platter for two: pulled pork, ribs, pulled chicken, brisket, baked beans, and sweet potato fries. The Southwestern egg rolls came out hot and fresh, and dipping them in ranch gave each bite a satisfying crunch. Then the main event arrived--and it did NOT disappoint. I won't go on and on about how good the food was (others have done that), but every meat on that platter was packed with flavor: smoky, rich, tender, and moist. You couldn't go wrong with anything. All conversation stopped as we just feasted. My personal favorite was the pulled chicken--each bite left me wanting more. Nothing was drowned in sauce, which let the craftsmanship of the prep work really shine through. We barely had any leftovers, and the little we did save was just to sneak in one more bite later. It was that good. This is hands down some of the best BBQ in the Hudson Valley. 5/5 stars!

After giving this place a break for a few years, we tried it again for takeout and the whole family was pleased. Takeout orders are picked up at the trailer next door to the main restaurant. There's plenty of parking either in the lot next to Bailey's or across the street. There are outdoor picnic benches near the trailer, which are probably very popular in summer. The $40 combo for 2 was a nice deal. I ordered two of those for a family of 4. In each, you get to select 4 meats and 2 veggies, so you can really sample a lot. We had baby back ribs, spare ribs (both taste similar), pulled pork, brisket, sausage, dark and white meat fried chicken. For sides, we got spicy greens, fries, smokehouse chips, beans. All meats were tasty. I probably wouldn't go for the sausage again, but it was ok. All ribs were delicious, even the pulled pork was tasty and juicy. Brisket was good too. The fried chicken was great - brined, seasoned, fried. The fries were nothing special. My kids really loved the house chips. I particularly liked the spicy southern greens. Yum! Beans were smoky and good. Portions for the sides seemed a bit small, but you get plenty of meat. It was overall such a nice assortment of food and a great way to determine what you'd want more of for next time. We'll definitely get some again.

Just ate here today and already thinking about when I want to come back. The restaurant is VERY spacious, a lot of room to move around and is very clean! We ordered drinks to start and I got a margarita - for $12, it was definitely a strong margarita! We pordered the loaded fries as an appetizer and WOW this dish seriously set the bar for loaded fries. The fries were perfectly crispy and were dressed in ranch and then topped with a ton of cheese and bacon + gravy on the side. YOU WANT THE GRAVY WITH THIS DISH!!! The fries were already amazing on their own but with the gravy? Game changer. For our main meal, we got the Barbecue Combo for 2. And honestly, it's such a great value for $40, the plate is LOADED with meat and if you order 1-2 apps, you could probably get away with serving three people with this dish. We got the baby back ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and pulled short ribs. Everything was so tasty and perfectly saucy! My personal favorites were definitely the brisket and the pulled short ribs. Service was quick and attentive! Overall, I can see why this place was so highly rated. This place also has a TON of parking which is always nice!

A group of my friends and I came in to enjoy a bite to eat we were seating downstairs which was nice. It wasn't too busy. Staff was friendly and were ok with our crazy jokesters friends. They were understanding of some of our friends being burnt out and tired and not knowing what to order. When we got it together we ordered the sampler platter it had a bit of everything & burnt ends omg delicious especially the Mac & cheese eggrolls! We got our meals cheeseburger, chicken & cheese quesadilla, pretzel bun chicken sandwich, catfish meal with collard greens, & we got 3 different versions of the bbq sampler for 2 with either Mac & cheese, coleslaw or sweet potato fries. My god lol for warning make sure you skip breakfast to come eat here. We could've share this plate lol definitely took the left overs home to take to work the following day. The smell is so amazing the taste is so good it slaps the crap out of your taste buds. Everyone said they love their food. Lord the pull pork & bbq sauce was pulling. I'm drooling just typing this up. This place is definitely a must have. Especially when it's bbq time.

If we could leave more than 5 stars we would ! We were recommended this place by friends and we live an hour away in NJ . Let's just say first off it's worth the drive ! We were seated at the exact time of our reservation and waiter was very quick and friendly to greet us . We ordered the wings as an appetizer and before we knew it they were hot and on our table ! We did the chipotle and bbq and Omgosh I didn't even need to use anything to add flavor ! Meat came right off the bone . Dinner we did BBQ for two and did pulled pork , ribs and chicken . When our friend said there was enough for 4 people they were not joking lol sooo much food and it was beyond delicious (we couldn't even finish it all but made for a great second dinner next day ) . I could have just had the pulled pork all night and been happy but we loved all of it. Meat was marinated and smoked to perfection and the side of mashed potatoes pictured was like a giant scoop of ice cream and loved them. Service was exceptional and management was great. We will def be back more often and be recommending to others as well! Also to add very kid friendly menu and lots of space :)

Came here for lunch and had: + Bailey's signature burger pat LaFrieda medium rare: i heard that the pat la frieda are one of the best pats for burgers. When i received the burger it tasted bland. It didnt wow me. It felt cooked rather than medium rare. Overall, i wasn't impressed nor satisfied + Burned ends as appetizer: this was good, it was amazing. I loved it. The burned ends were tasty, tender and well cooked Its quite amazing that the appetizers taste better than the main course... Not impressed by the experience : (

My first experience was takeout and I was blown away by the portions and taste. Finally, I visited in person and am even further obsessed with this spot. It's a cute pub restaurant setup with ample parking and some cute outdoor seating although currently as we're heading into winter it's not for use. Inside it's bustling and the host is friendly and quick. Upon sitting down our waitress was with us quickly and was very friendly and thorough. As we sat we saw staff cleaning up well and quickly. Our drinks were tasty but simple orders so can't speak much on them overall. The food, egg rolls, French onion soup, short rib grilled cheese, bacon wrapped sausage and corn soufflé were all out of this world. Everything is fresh, quality and soooo tasty. There's nothing I'd change and overall believe the prices were comparable to other spots and fair for what you get. Definitely recommend as it's become a household favorite.

Horrible take out. I went sat ordered ribs and they gave short ribs .I never ordered. Manager did throw in today corn souffle .which I really didn't want him to do . Just to take note how service is. So today I went back thinking ok this time they gotta get it right. I ordered cornbeef cabbage omg it looked like someone's left overs. So here I go back mind you it's a 20 minute ride. Thinking by time I get there it should be done I was suppose to get cornbeef ,potatoes and carrots and cabbage . Still again no carrots and did get potatoes. And corn beef kids style . to make things worse guy behind cashier thought it was too funny and laughing and kept telling me I had to wait. I literally had to get manager . He said it was outside. But the kid was like no you have to wait. So I started 5:45 my dinner 1st order by the time I got my second order it wasn't till 7 :45 pm . Unacceptable to treat a senior too. Not to mention kid thought it was a huge joke by yelling to me byeeee and laughing. Either you guys need to change or you will be losing a lot more customers .

Came here on a Saturday around 6:30, and the restaurant was pretty packed. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Very chill casual vibes. The hostess was very friendly and nice, seated us within minutes of arriving. For appetizers we got the wings either sweet and hot sauce, but it was mostly sweet. They were good but wish they were spicier. For entrees I got the Smoked Chicken with Garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad. Also ordered was the barbecue sample for 1 with pulled chicken, pulled pork, and . We got macaroni and cheese and the corn soufflé as our sides. Everything was pretty good. Portions were large, lots of leftovers!

We ordered the brisket platter with baked beans and mac cheese. We also ordered a jr ribs meal and were given the complimentary corn bread. What we liked is the below. We loved the corn bread. It was warm on arrival sweet and salty just delicious. The brisket was moist and flavorful. The baked beans had little pieces of ham and had great taste. The ribs were okay a little dry for me. The mac and cheese was basic. The fries tasted like the grease they were fried in which is one of my pet peeves. The BBQ sauce was sweeter than I expected. We were told this is North Carolina style bbq. We enjoyed our visit and checking them out. The restaurant was family friendly. They also had a full bar and some interesting drinks ( we didn't try any). We'd visit again just for the corn bread. It was that good.

While I do love the duck breast and lamb chops included with the Classic package, we all felt Essentials was enough for this visit. Celia was our waitress. While things were a little slow getting started, once our first order went in, the food started flying out. Everything we ordered throughout the evening arrived much faster than it did on my previous visit. The menu makes it sound like they'll throttle you to only a couple of items at a time, but that really wasn't our experience. We were consistently able to order several items per person, so there was always something on the grill, more food on the way, and plenty to keep us chomping away. Our favorites this time? The top blade, brisket, hanger steak, pork belly, and even the salmon ceviche, which was surprisingly refreshing between rounds of grilled meat. We did have a couple of hiccups, but Celia was eager to make things right. After we received the wrong shrimp twice, she took it upon herself to get the manager involved. They tracked down the correct shrimp and brought it out. Thanks! Speaking of the manager, Andy was terrific. After another unpleasantry at our table, he came over and sincerely apologized several times. It was obvious he genuinely wanted to make things right. After we took a quick selfie together, he got us with a few complimentary cocktails. I have to say, anything here with cucumber in it is delicious here. Super refreshing. By the end of the meal, my son was a fluent griller and even said he liked Gyuzo more than the other all-you-can-eat BBQ places we've visited. That's about as good an endorsement as I can give. We'll certainly be back.

Unfortunately, we never even got to eat at the restaurant because of how disorganized the front desk was. We were quoted a 35-45 minute wait and were told to join the Yelp waitlist. We stood nearby the entire time waiting to be called. We never received any notification on our phones, and when we checked the app, our status had somehow changed from "waiting" to "cancelled." When we spoke with the hostess, she apologized and told us to wait because she would seat us next. Instead, we watched four other parties get seated before us. After waiting even longer, we went back to ask what was happening, only to be told it would be another 15-20 minutes. From what we observed, it also seemed like the restaurant was prioritizing seating larger parties over smaller ones. I can't say for certain whether that was their policy, but that's certainly how it appeared from our experience as multiple larger groups were seated while we continued to wait despite being told we were next. I completely understand that popular restaurants get busy, and I have no issue waiting my turn. What I do have an issue with is poor communication and disorganization from the hostess team. Mistakes happen, but telling customers they'll be seated next and then repeatedly seating other parties first is unacceptable. To make matters worse, this was our second night this weekend trying to eat here, and once again we left without ever getting a table. Despite the inconvenience and poor experience, no one offered an apology beyond a brief acknowledgment, nor was there any attempt to make things right or show goodwill for the time we had wasted. The food may be excellent, but we'll never know because the front-of-house experience was so poorly managed. A great restaurant starts with good customer service, and unfortunately, the hostess team left a very poor first impression. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

With Fink's BBQ now closed for good…read morein Suffern, I've been aching for a local Rockland joint with solid BBQ to visit time and time again. I admit that my disappointment may be weighing on my rating, but let me get this out of the way: Country music? Sure. It's BBQ. That's standard. But having Fox News on both downstairs TV? A very poor precedent to play politics in the area that guests first walk into. Most restaurants with TVs will play sports. Upstairs, they at least were showing Food Network, and that is also fine. Politics is an immediate 1.5 star deduction, and I noticed 13 stars on the menu that indicated this is a recurring theme, not just an error by the waitstaff. I'll also note the waitstaff... well, the one girl who greeted us as first was not the best. She had very little to say, so I asked about upstairs vs. downstairs and she said we could pick. We picked upstairs to get away from the door and the politics, and while that was nice, after bringing us water and taking our order she immediately disappeared and was never seen again. My appetizer came out with the main course, water wasn't going to be refilled unless I shouted down the stairs... very poor start. Fortunately, this was made up by the nice guy (24 years old I think?) who served our food and tended to us the rest of the night. Maybe he could sense the peeve. Maybe he fired her on the spot and took over. But he was very personable, visited frequently to see how we were doing and what we needed, chatted up quite a bit about the food and the restaurant and himself. Great guy, so service is a "push". Other than the music, the ambiance is... interesting. Upstairs is nice and cozy, and there are two sets of stairs leading up to it, one behind the other. Strange. They're both open stairs, but they look totally different. I asked about that, and the nice guy said that the upstairs actually spans two neighboring businesses. Which doesn't quite explain the double staircase but was still interesting to hear about. There are also catered events up there, since this place is first and foremost a catering establishment. He showed us the catering menu, and it's quite a bit more expansive than the regular menu. But no desserts on them, except for special times like Thanksgiving and Christmas, since the owner gets exhausted baking desserts (I'm told). And with all that, we get to the food... First, I tried the sauces. Only two options, neither has heat. Their standard sauce is the darker, redder of the two, tomato based NY-style. The lighter (orange from the outside) is their custom sauce that is apparently Carolina themed with mustard included. I would not call it Southern, as it is rather over-sugared for Carolina BBQ. Second, the wait for the meals was so long, I almost left. It was at least 30 minutes and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Any good BBQ place is doing enough business to have meat at the ready and dishes to prepare and send out. I can finally report that once the food did arrive, it was very good overall. The quesadilla was a little imbalanced - parts were too much cheese and not enough meat. My corn souffle appetizer was delicious, but not Southern in how it came across - too dense and squishy. Southern style is a little softer and puffier. My ribs were tasty but not fall-off-the-bone tender. They were cooked neither low nor slow enough, which makes me think they were not left cooking overnight but rather partially cooked (at best) and completed when I ordered. Which is not right for BBQ. As far as the sides, cole slaw was nothing special. The homemade dill pickles that came with the quesadilla are actually really good! I'm not a dill guy normally. Finally, the potato salad was interesting. Not sure if that counts as a hit or a miss, as the bacon was too crunchy (I can't believe I'm hating on bacon) and the texture threw off the overall impression. Because the waiter who took over was so nice, I ordered dessert. The whipped cream pie is really good, I just wish it wasn't so small for the money, but homemade has its cost and I respect that. Order the $30 pie while it's on the Thanksgiving catering menu! In the end, I'm balancing a lot. Food that would get at least 4 stars by itself, and could be higher with a repeat visit. Both 5 star service and 1 star service. 4 star atmosphere upstairs, 1 star downstairs. That's fifteen stars total, divided by five numbers, so I hereby award 3 stars and will continue to look for a Fink's replacement I can truly enjoy.

We had tried to visit the restaurant on two other occasions during regular weekend business hours, but it was closed to the public for private parties.
