I have had alot of burgers in the lehigh valley an this wasn't the worst but it's not great either. first off they slogan is FRESH.SIMPLE.HONEST. honestly it simply was a dry burger there was hardly anything in side the stuffed burger,all i tasted was the toppings on the burger it self . how can you make a good burger with 94% lean beef . We've passed by the place many times and finally stopped by here with my wife and daughter based on other reviews. From the outside we weren't sure what to expect.. On the inside, it's a bit like a lot of the local hot dog places in the area. A small, cramped counter space, right by the door and a bunch of small tables and a few booths to park it while you wait for the freshly made stuffed burgers. But enough on the building, on to the food. So we decided to share The Shack Burger and The Bungalow. I would highly recommend both. Both were cooked to order and came out perfectly. Each comes with fries but we opted to upgrade one of the sides to the Shack Fries and wow were they good. Not nearly enough, we wanted more. These were some of the best burgers and fries we've eaten. We will definitely be going back! The only gotcha is the wait time, since they are stuffed burgers, they take a little longer to prepare. But the wait wasn't that long and there were a few other customers ahead of us. read more

The best burger in the valley hands down. The other places--five guys, red robin, chili's, appleby's, and all the fast food places should be ashamed to say they make a burger. The establishment was a newly renovated former deli. A lot of thought and time was put into the transformation. Excellent decor, I felt like I was in a "shack." It was so clean, I could have eaten off the floors. The staff was friendly and helpful. No rude 12 year old kids. It looks like it is run by a family. I had the flophouse burger--a throw back to what I would expect in Hawaii. They nailed it. My brother had the Cabana with jalepenos--also amazing. My wife decided to venture off the charts and go for a dog. It was the Whitehall dog. Amazing as well. Each meal came with large cut fries--great as well. I got a side of BBQ sauce--again, amazing! Fresh, delicious burgers and fries. Everything on the menu is so good. I've had the wraps, chicken sandwich, pulled pork, chicken fingers. Even their wings were great. Great staff, everyone is nice and helpful. One of my favorite places to eat. Prices are very reasonable, what you would spend on a meal from McDonalds or Burger King, you can go to Burger Shack and get a yummy burger and fries for the same price. me and my family have eaten here a few time and we have concluded they have the best burgers in lehigh valley. They even beat some of the franchises that specialize in burger. All burgers are made with fresh ingredients and made to order. They specialize in "stuffed" burgers which if you never tried one, they are spectacular! Not too many burger places around here with vegan options but this one does! The falafel burger is unbelievable! I crave it constantly and have never been let down. If unique burgers are what you crave, you're in for a treat. With past Burgers of the Month like the Pierogie Burger (burger stuffed with cheese and topped with onions and a pierogie) the Jalapeno-popper-like burger and several others, they keep me coming back often. Because of the lean meat they use (another plus) I don't recommend getting it cooked higher than medium but that could just be my preference. read more

There isn't a lot of great places that deliver in the area...unless you want sub par pizza or chinese. I hate waiting in line for pickup from the local restaurants. We were scoping out yelp and came across the Burger Shack. Really easy to order online. Our food was delivered quickly and it was delicious...EVERYTHING was delicious. Awesome place to eat. Somehow they have managed to fuse the burger,bacon and cheese all together. Must try there hummus and tabbouleh. Everything is homemade and you gotta try the lemonade. Well I just got back from probably my last visit to the burger shack, my wife and I have been going there a little over a year. Up to November it always was a positive experience, as with everyone life got busy and my wife and I stopped going to BS in October. When things let up we looked forward to our meal there. Mostly because of the staff. But the food was great as well. We noticed new people behind the counters, very nice people. But things were different. The food was the same, just the atmosphere changed. We went back a few times and both agreed that a big reason why we went there was for the owners and staff and while the new staff is very nice it just didn't feel the same. But the food was on par, so it was always on my radar when in the mood for a burger... Till tonight.. We got there, two other people in the restaurant, no big deal, we placed and order and waited and waited. Mind you we ordered medium. Which to me is pink in the middle. We'll after almost a half hour I know our burgers were going to come out over cooked, sure enough.. Mine was in edible, the charcoal crust on the bottom mixed with it being as dry as the Death Valley, made me force each bite down till I couldn't anymore. My wife's burger was almost as bad but she could muscle through it. She was nice enough to take up to the counter and show the staff member. She immediately apologized and said they make a new one. I heard the cook say he read well done on my ticket, I never order anything well done. My wife watched the make it and now I know why it comes out charcoaled and dry. A) the grill is two hot, it's okay to carmalize the top and bottem, but then move it to a part of the grill that's not as hot. They don't do that B) the cook smashes the burger!! Anybody who watches food network knows you do NOT smash a burger once it starts cooking, you push out the juices. And end up with a dry burger. Which is what we got. My second burger was again very dry and overly charcoaled, but at least pink in the middle. Over all I'd say still a fail. I say that compared to what it was. I didn't mention my fries were cold. My wife's hamburger bun was cold and felt stale. I don't know what happen, or what happened to the original people but things have slipped enough to where I no longer want to go back. And that's a shame.. I wish them luck and I hope things improve. read more

This use to be a deli that went out of business. It is a different concept from your typical burger as it is stuffed (not as much as I expected) and you have a wide choice to chose from. The burger is huge and I indeed left stuffed. They claim the burger is 94% lean beef is naturally raised on open-range pastures, without using any steroid implants or antibiotics (sounds good) and maybe because of it I found it to be on the dry side. If it were not for the toppings and stuffed ingredients the burger itself might taste bland. It is not the best burger I ever had nor it is not the worst. If you are in the mood for a different kind of burger this is the place to go. They will make your burger to order and they offer Boardwalk fries. It did win a local radio station award for its burger. The place is small as there are only about 10 tables in the room. Clean, fast, friendly service can be found here. read more
