Food is great. They use very lean beef and the burgers are still great. (Sometimes I wish the used a fattier beef but definitely benefits to using leaner meat) onion rings are awesome. read more

This place exceeded my expectations. I placed an online order here on a whim and the staff was incredibly friendly when I arrived. The food was obviously fresh and home made and their hummus was to die for! The prices were reasonable for the amount of food you're given. Definitely worth checking out! You need to stop reading this review and go there, NOW. Huge juicy burgers prepared in unique ways throw your taste buds on a roller coaster. The rolls are fresh and that brings the burger together very we'll. Each burger comes with fries, but I fail to finish them as the burger is so filling. Best burger place in the Lehigh Valley. I just wrote a bad review of another restaurant, and so I thought the responsible thing to do would be to write some good reviews of places I like. Burger Shack has amazing friendly people working there. They always check on how you like the food, it's clearly important to them. The burgers and fries are amazing. The hot-dogs are amazing. I had the cheese-steak and it was pretty good, just a little messy. We had their catering for a meeting in the office, bbq pork with beans, slaw, rolls. It was delicious, everyone agreed. I highly recommend for burgers in the Lehigh Valley. read more

One word.......Delicious!! My first time here and I was not disappointed. I had the Bungalow burger which is stuffed with cheddar cheese & bacon and topped with more cheddar cheese & bacon. Simply fantastic and is now in my top three burgers in the valley. The fries were equally delicious. The owner was extremely kind, personable and accommodating. We call to make an order with two burgers. The lady told me it would be ready in twenty minutes. I've been here for 40 minutes and still have yet to see my burgers being made. She keeps telling me almost ready. Very disappointing. read more

I visited the Burger Shack yesterday with my uncle, and boy was I impressed. The burgers were amazing and so flavorful. I enjoyed the the pulled pork BBQ burger. I would love to give this place a 5 star because the burgers are amazing! I recommend trying them. But anyone who knows me knows I am about more then just the food .the guy who took our order did not smile one time. Which is ok but he made me feel like it was a inconvenience to help us. After years of driving by The Burger Shack, I finally stopped to try it out for myself. I love fresh burgers and have shunned places like McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's ever since I heard how they create their "meat." I'd always thought my best alternative in the LV for a good burger was Five Guys (if you can stand all the grease) or Emeril's Burgers and More (mucho expensive) at the casino, but, thankfully, I was wrong. I stopped to pick up a burger for take-out. After explaining to the sweet girl behind the counter that this was my first time in, she patiently walked me through all the different types of burgers. Most of them were "stuffed" with cheese or other toppings. I opted for the Shabby burger- "fresh ground beef stuffed with mushrooms and onions, topped with The Shack BBQ Sauce and more mushrooms and onions." I LOVED it! I ordered my burger medium well- and it was prefect- not overdone, with just a little bit of pink and plenty of juice, filled with onions and button mushrooms. The BBQ sauce was great- tangy and not too sweet. They added more grilled mushrooms and onions to the top that mixed delightfully in with the sauce. I appreciated how the take-out had the lettuce, onion, and tomato on the side, so that by the time I got it home the bun wasn't sauce-logged. And the bun, THE BUN, why hasn't anyone on here mentioned them? They are big, chewy, and the perfect size to hold this great burger. The fries that come with the burger (yes, you don't have to order them separately) were terrific! Crispy with a sprinkling of what I guess is a house-mix. They give you plenty, but when you're staring at your last fry you always wish you have more. I will absolutely be going back- and bringing friends. The only thing I might say to make this place even better is to add blue cheese as an option to the extensive list of optional cheeses. I could see adding it to the Shabby burger to put it over the moon! And pickles! But even without them, the place is great! read more

This place has the best homemade pierogies I've ever eaten! Also the best falafel! And FYI I have eaten at every Mediterranean place in the entire Lehigh Valley. Freaking amazing. read more

This place is incredible. They are an environmentally conscious, community involved, delicious ingredient having independent burger spot with great prices. Shake shack and in and out level quality, p.s. I lived in both LA and NYC, at the same price but with more options. The people are friendly and the variety of options is remarkable for a small operation. All this plus the fries are good which never happens. Why has this jewel been so hidden and not heard nor seen? Thanks to the Express best burger contest I had to try as this humble, independent gem as it is in the top 4 burgers Lehigh Valley wide! And deservingly so!. Stuffed burgers--Wert's no longer has a Lehigh Valley monopoly--with outstanding "boardwalk fries" these made to order burgers with your choice of toppings/stuffing etc will make you wish the Burger Shack was in A-B-E. Off the beaten trail in old Whitehall not on McArthur road, the trip is most worth it. I had the cabana burger stuffed with jalepenos and pepperjack. Could of been a little spicier because i like to cry when i eat, I devoured the burger. My nephew had pulled pork--yes in aburger topped with pulled pork and cheese. Creative indeed. Monthly burger was Russian dressing. The point is only your imagination limits your choices. Finally, how wonderful to know 2 sisters run this small, charming family place. I think they should open one in each LV city...it's that good. Wayback and Red Robin pale in quality of meat, selection, and innovation. 1st Avenue in Whitehall never looked or tasted so good! read more

WONDERFUL! The food was really quite good and very filling! The ingredients tasted fresh and you could see them cooking the fresh burgers in the kitchen. The Owner was a delightful lady to talk with and so welcoming. I do not live close too this place but will happily be taking the drive out to them again in the future. We pass by this place EVERY day and always thought about stopping in. Boy am I glad we finally did! I had their pulled pork wrap and it was EXCELLENT! Also tried their hot & honey wings...all I have to say is AMAZING! Great job on the crispiness of them. We always hate soaked wings, you won't get that here. Just the right sauce and crispiness! I love the fact they also have sweet potato fries, mmm good! Our boys got a cheese burger. They are a little big for the boys, but at least they liked them! They were cooked to medium well, just as I requested. I have no complaints about the service we received or the food! Great place, will be back! read more

This place used to be really good. It took them 23 minutes to make me a burger for take out, after waiting for so long I just took my burger and left. Once I got home my burger was far from satisfactory. The beef patty wasn't even big enough for the bun and I also order the shabby fries as a substitute and was not happy when I barely got any french fries. read more

Ok service. Lady was nice but didn't follow up on additional request-she was too busy chatting with family/friends that stopped by. Food: We got BBQ wings. They're weren't great but I told they lady they were. We also got Burgers: the patties, thou suppose to be healthy grass-fed beef, tasted like nothing. Not even tasted like grass. The fries were ok, thou. One more thing: the bacon! As you will note on some pics on Yelp, they don't use whole bacon strips. They sprinkle some microwaved bacon-bits on the burgers. Total bacon fail. Use real, whole strip bacon. One more thing: I was ordering a quesadilla starter but the lady said the wings and burgers would be enough for my friend and I. Solid burgers. The burger of the month is usually something outside of the box; but always worth trying at least once. Great staff. I talk with the owner every time we eat there, discussing BOTM choices and his process for coming up with the ideas. My only gripe is that he doesn't make his own fries. Which is apparently because he couldn't get them as crispy as he would like. And I can appreciate that. But with all the effort they put in to make unique burgers by hand and from scratch, fries that aren't made in house detract from the meal. However, for frozen fries they are good. read more

I placed an order to go at The Burger Shack which was the first experience I've had with them. I ordered The Bungalow burger and I have to say, wow. The Bungalow burger is made from 94% lean ground beef that is raised naturally, on open range pastures and without steroids or antibiotics. It is STUFFED with cheddar and bacon and also topped with cheddar and bacon. This is probably one of the best burgers i've had in a long time. And at $7.49 for the burger and some DELICIOUS fries, this deal is hard to beat. So from a food standpoint, this place is top notch. As far as service, I have minimal interaction with them but as far as what I've experienced, they are very customer friendly. My food only took about 10-15 minutes before it was ready, they were very nice over the phone and in person. They seemed like they enjoyed their job and were devoted to customer satisfaction. The Burger Shack is the best place to go for a great burger at a great price in the Lehigh Valley. read more

If you're looking for greasy, this isn't it. A healthier alternative with sweet potato fries, they have you covered. Great price, too! I don't understand all of the positive reviews, its almost like all of you have only eaten fast food burgers. First off the burger was extremely dry and the BBQ sauce that they put on had way too much vinegar in it, and the "stuffed" burger was barely that. Don't get me started on the hot dog that my daughter ate, it was terrible, much worse then the burger. To be honest I would try this place again but request my burger to be cooked to medium. Prepare to cook your own food. My medium well shack burger was bloody inside and pink, as in, RAW, on the outside. The man taking our phone call to complain said that's how it should be. In disbelief of what I was hearing, I said, 'you don't understand, it is pink on the outside of the burger.' He said he can remake it, but that he'll cook it the same way if he does. My fries were cold like they came out of a fridge and we're only 5 minutes down the road. This was this excuse's second chance. First time I went there, as a sit in, I waited more than 50 minutes for one burger. At least then it was cooked. read more
