Interior feels like a classic industrial style vibe, typical to that of a brewery or burger joint. My server was very nice and service was fast. I got the burger of the month which has some arugula, goat cheese, an egg, and some sort of jam, and it was pretty good! I think the party could use more salt and seasoning but otherwise it was great. The onion rings were extremely greasy!! I could literally squeeze the oil out and could feel it when I bit into the ring. Also, they didn't really have any salt or flavor to them so I wouldn't recommend. Terrific ambiance in this restaurant. I came in early on a Wednesday. Sat the bar and was able to order some tasty craft beer and delicious food. I had the taco of the month (Nashville Hot tacos)... I felt a little guilty not ordering a burger but these sounded so good and they did not disappoint. Service was good but could have been a little more attentive given that it was not super busy. Somewhere I read about this place and after reading some Yelp feedback, I found myself putting Burger Social on my to-do list. It didn't stay there long. A place with a specific food in the title should probably lure you in for just that. Well it didn't. Admittedly, there were several burgers on the menu that looked awfully tempting, but it was the Southern BLT that I couldn't say no to. Glad I didn't. This is a cut of grilled chicken with the typical BLT trimmins and it's damned good. You get your choice of a side, the fries were great too. My son was feeling like desert so the three of us split a 'churro ice cream sammich'. Oh hell yeah! My kinda desert! I highly recommend the honey badger drink if you like sweet with a little heat. We had a reservation upstairs and we were not super close to other tables. We went on. Nice atmosphere when walking in and was greeted by a pleasant hostess. I was there for a business lunch which was on the second floor back patio. I really appreciated that it is enclosed (poly screened). The menu is scan code so I really was happy with that. My meal was the Korean BBQ burger and I was talked into upgrading to the Truffle fries. The burger was visually appealing as well the fries. We were a party of eight and surprisingly everyone's meal looked delicious and there were no mixups. The waitress was pleasant AND made sure everything we asked for was as ordered. As I walked past the bar leaving I thought next time I go back... and it is Not business. I will definitely try an adult beverage. I do plan on returning to try something else on the menu. I love the Burger Local in Geneva and was excited to try the sister restaurant in Wheaton. It was predictably amazing! To start, we began with the Social Nachos. With four adults and two kids at our table, these were perfectly shareable and everyone was satisfied. The queso fundido adorning the nachos was amazing. For my main, I got the wagyu smash. To be clear, there wasn't really anything about the burger that felt like it was wagyu BUT it was a tasty burger. The fries were also delicious. It was my birthday so for dessert we had the churros ice cream sandwich and shared it and that, too, was excellent! So sweet but SO good. We had a reservation so got a delightful seat by the window, with plenty of space, and in short chairs (in my old age, I'm anti-bar-stool). Will definitely return! read more

The waiter had a slightly 'bitchy' demeanor when taking our order, never refilled our drinks, didn't check in with us after the food runner dropped off our meals so I had to get up and get napkins from the other end of the restaurant...then he came over and asked us to leave 10 minutes after I paid the bill because 'they needed the table'. HamBigger Really good burger, and it's the perfect size. Theu have a lot of different burgers on the menu, but the main burger is the Social Burger which you can customize. It's a 10oz patty, so it's between half pound and 3/4 pounds, which to me is just right. Add on some toppings and you can barely fit it in your mouth. It was cooked just right, and tasted great. They do have other food on the menu, but why would you go to a burger place and get anything else. For drinks they have this Manhattan that is smoked, and it's really good. Had 2 of those and I was feeling great. It is a sociable place, so I recommend going with friends and let me know what you think. read more

I had been meaning to dine here for a while since when I saw the menu! We ordered the Naan Burger and Korean BBQ with truffle fries on the side. The Naan burger was delicious!! The lamb was perfectly cooked. Juicy and flavorful! The sauces and veggies in the burger were a perfect blend to go with the lamb. A 100% recommendation if you want to try a twist to a burger. Korean BBQ was cooked really well too! The BBq sauce definitely made the burger tasty and the jalapenos gave it a perfect little spice kick. We finished dinner with Churro Ice Cream Sandwich! Definitely recommend sharing it since its going to be a lot after those delicious burgers. The churros perfectly fluffy and sweet to compliment the ice cream in between. Visited a friend last weekend who recently moved to Wheaton. She listed out a few places that she's already been to and liked and we ended up settling on Burger Social. Upon arrival it looks pretty small but, don't worry, there's an upstairs too! We were seated quickly and given a round of waters and time to peruse the menu. We ordered the chips and queso as an appetizer which was very good! My only complaint is that it comes with pico de gallo on top and as someone who doesn't like onions I had to pick around that. For my entree, I ordered the Loco Crunch which, like it sounds, is basically a Crunch Wrap supreme. I was not disappointed! So good! They offer a plethora of delicious burgers and our group tried about 5 different ones. Everyone in our party loved their choice! The bar itself is lovely, clean, and well stocked with friendly and speedy service. The beer menu was solid and we enjoyed the fried pickles which had a nice crunch. The pickles themselves were tasty and the dish came with a delicious sauce - top ten fried pickles in Chicagoland I'd say! The Burger Social is located in the heart of Wheaton downtown, serving up some really delicious burgers. Street parking can be sketchy on a Saturday night, but we were fortunate to find street parking a few blocks away. The Burger Social consists of two floors, the downstairs area, being dominated by a full bar, with chairs and tables as well. Upstairs, there is a smaller bar, but is a great area to hosts parties and social gatherings. They have an upstairs outdoor area, which has temporary enclosing with heat lamps to make sure you're nice and toasty. We rolled-in eight deep and got a table with reservations. The place was pretty busy. For appetizers, we got some onion rings, which were humungo, social nachos, which had queso fundido, pickled red onion, tomato, crema, pickled jalapenos and of course, cheddar cheese. For the entree, I ordered the barbocoa burger, which had shredded braised beef, beef patty, chihuahua cheese, jalapeno aioli, pickled red onion, avocado. Dang, it was so delicious. The shredded braised beef was tender, flavorful, and seasoned really well. Very impressed. Dessert -- Churro Ice Cream Sammich, which consisted of churro donut, cinnamon sugar, caramel cheesecake ice cream. I highly recommend! Despite our large party, our server was very attentive and friendly. The overall dining experience was fantastic. The cauliflower tots are great, we always order them and love them. I usually get the social and tonight it was fantastic. The fries were very crispy and well seasoned so 5 stars on all that, but my wife ordered the Loco Crunch and it did not have any chorizo or queso on the sandwich which made it very dry. She should have sent it back but we are not those type of people. Probably should be but.... We will be back because the food is typically really good but we were a little disappointed as they were not even that busy at the time. read more

Great vegan and gluten free options! Love the ambiance! Our only complaint is that you never feel welcome by the front of house staff - whenever you are greeted, first words out of their mouth is you only have an hour and a half to be here. Who starts a service off like that? It is extremely rude and doesn't make any customer feel welcome! We talked to servers and they feel it's uncomfortable too. It is not necessary, especially when the place is empty.... If there is a table that extends their welcome, then address that party alone, don't tell every customer that! read more

This is a fun spot in the middle of Main Street in Wheaton! The restaurant is set up nicely with a full main level , up stairs and patio seating . Our waiter was attentive and checked in often . The appetizers were phenomenal , our favorite was the pretzel bites and the honey mustard was so tasty! They had a great drink selection and I went for the sangria! It was fresh and refreshing ! I ordered the smash burger and as far as smash burgers go , it was okay. I have had better but have also had worse , just your standard burger .
