This place is a great place to get your cuts of meat for the carne asada! They have a great flavorful seasoning on their Carnes preparados. The service has always been good every time I go in there. Sure they speak Spanish but they also have English speakers there to help as well. The place looks like a little market. They also have a very good Mexican bakery that puts out some sweet and some savory stuff. They also have a little kitchen that serves up some good food. Employees that are not helpful or attentive. Not great prices for the meats . Chaotic and disorganized lines to the counter - you have no idea what line you are in or even if you are in line . You may think you're in line - but when you get to the front of the line the cashier will tell you that wasn't the line and you have to go to the rear of the line that you were already in . We purchased the marinated chuckroll and the marinated chicken breasts and made some of the best street tacos I've ever eaten. Our guests couldn't get enough of them and La Herradero helped make me the hero of my own party. The chuckroll and chicken were cut so thin they cook up quick. I was able to prepare 11 lbs of the beef and 6 lbs of the chicken in less than an hour on my charcoal and gas grills. Their produce is fresh and the garlic bulbs we picked up seemed to have more flavor than the ones you get from the big box supermarkets. Their red and green salsas were spicy and tangy and a nice accompaniment to the tacos. We picked up a cake for desert, too, and it was moist and delicious! I'm telling you, this place will help you make a dinner better than anything you will ever find in a Mexican restaurant here in the Vegas Valley. Give them a try! read more

They do not care about customers ladies they have there cooking totally ignored everyone waiting for food to let someone that I believe tips them on the side to jump infront of all of us and order like 10 different plated or more. It was insane zero respect for the cliental of the place. Line was long and they just didn't care all of them jumped on that one order I have never in my over 15 years as a chef ever seem that. What was this guy the president of the USA because the way they ignored the line he better have been, I guarantee they lost atleast 10 customers alone yesterday and I assume it is a daily thing so eventually that will probably be their only customer so maybe that is why they plan to only have one customer from now on. read more

Explained a few times I already had a drink with me entering and they followed to car twice asking the same thing, after spending over $160 in this store. This is the place to go to get your carne asada meats. The meats are marinated perfectly and after grilling, they come out tender and flavorful. I used to go to Cardenas to get my meats until a friend turned me on to this place and I am so thankful he did. We actually use this place to get meats for our company BBQs as well. I'm a white guy - can't really get whiter looking than me. I go into the store knowing there might be a language barrier. At the meat counter they're very helpful even when I have a special request. And there's always been at least one guy who speaks good English for when communication breaks down. The meats are always fresh and reasonably priced. The sweetbreads are top notch imo - but I have nothing to compare them to. The prepared food counter - I pretty much get ignored until I pipe up with a question. Then they are very helpful and will get a person who speaks English if necessary. I wish they had a menu! The vegetables are fresh. The prepared salsas are excellent and spicy. I've been going there once or twice a week for the last 6 weeks. Plan to keep going. I'd give it 5 stars but 5 stars suggests there's no room for improvement (things can always be better). One thing that would make it better is a dry erase board in the prepared food area that shows what they're up to back there - what dishes they've prepared for the day with pricing and stuff. That food looks awesome - can't wait to try some soup when the weather gets cold. read more

We normally go to their #1store on Lake Mead Blvd, but we thought why not check out this store. Meat department was good. However, I felt the butcher kept putting too much in my bag, so I would buy more/pay more. I got to the cashier and their screen didn't work. Their salsas are NOT labeled, so you cannot tell which is very spicy and which is mild!l and they do not have prices! I asked the cashier if she could tell me how much was the charcoal and she told when I run it, you'll see. How was I going to see when their screen didn't work!! I couldn't tell what she was charging me! Their scanner for the credit card is not appropriately installed. You have to find the right position to turn and sign for your purchase. The cashier spoke very softly, I couldn't hear her. As I was walking to my car I noticed I was charged $22 for the charcoal! I had to returned it, and buy it at Smith's for $13.00 dollars, you're saving almost 1/2 of La Herradero price! I will not go back to this store. read more

By far this was the best Carne Asada, short ribs, and chicken I have ever had. The seasoning was phenomenal and all of the meat was so tender. I am now back for the 3rd time since I have heard of this location last month. I live far away and this is well worth the drive. Juan was so helpful in helping me choose what would work for my BBQ. Female employees are rude! They dont even try to smile or try to help you out by the food section. I was standing there for a good 15 mins and no one greeted me or say anything to me when i was trying to get their attention. 3 women are behind the counter just completely ignoring me but as soon as a Mexican arrived, right away they were smiling and all attentive. We were trying to tell the cashier when we were paying for our Carne Asada and all she said was,"yeah, i know" I'm not really sure if she understands what i was trying to say.
