This is our go to place for our marinated meats since the days they were located on Jones and Vegas. It's a bit of a drive for us but it's once in a while. They have many options to choose from. We usually get Pollo Asada, Carne Asada and al pastor. We also get their pico de gallo and salsa verde. Service is always quick and friendly and this location is big. read more

We were looking for a good place to buy carne asada, and sides in Vegas. We were recommended by an acquaintance, so even though it's 20 minutes from our house we thought we should try. Glad we did. We walked in and it's clean and organized, the staff is friendly and helpful. They have a few groceries, basics like limes , green onions, cilantro and avocados, etc. they have plenty of tortillas and chips. They only have small size tortillas. But their meat and chicken selection is terrific. We got carne asada, salsas-red and green , guacamole , flour tortillas and chips. The red salsa was too hot for us. The green salsa is good and the guacamole was very good. We are looking forward to going back and trying the chicken , and ribs and of course more carne asada. They have chicharrones, when I inquired about them, the nice lady offered me a sample, I said yes. It was a very generous sample I was most appreciative as it was delicious! read more

I've never personally gone into this butcher shop until this past weekend. Walking in the employees were kind and all greeted me. It's a small store but they carry everything I normally would order. I bought ranchera, both prepared and not prepared. I also got their prepared chicken and spare ribs. The meats were tender and the repeated one was flavorful. The chicken was outstanding. Whatever seasoning they use was perfect. I also bought the green salsa, the red one is good but damn it's hot. Prices are what you normally pay at the smaller butcher shops and quality meats. The store is very clean. I was helped right away. My only draw back is when paying$25 a pound. I like to see the cut before I purchase. Here it's cut to order. Fresh? Yes. I however prefer a much heavier marble in my prime cut. If this steak would have been on display I wouldn't have purchased it at that price point. The other Butcher Block I go to has similar prices but I'm able to select my steak from the case. I would go back for other marinated meats. read more

Decided to give it another chance on the ranchera but my second visit was my last one. The ranchera had a lot of silver skin and nerve endings, the quality "primos" states is not there. I've always liked their beef and so I wanted to make chicken wings so I bought 7 pounds of alitas de pollo. The next day my fridge started to smell weird so I cleaned and threw out whatever I could find before preparing the chicken wings for dinner and once I opened that bag it SMELLED like death. I don't know what happened, nothing else rotted in my fridge and I checked the temperature to make sure it was functioning right and it stayed consistent but sadly all of the chicken had spoiled and one wing even looked like it had some sort of cyst or big pimple on it? Idk but that one smelled the worst. I had just bought the wings so they were the last thing I expected to be rotting, the smell even lingered on my counter, my trash can and my cutting board. First time trying this location. Have driven past it for many years, just never noticed it before. I think they may have updated the front signage. Stopped in for the birria and tried the Menudo (bomb), carnitas, and queso birria tacos. Super tasty. The inside is just like straight of Tijuana look and layout. Have to warn you, the smell inside can be a little off putting. Just because it is the real deal Mexican food so you smell the birria Cheva (goat) and the tripe of the menudo in the air. It is a little more pricey than other Mexican food locations. Worth the try. read more
