So excited that Currentea has opened up inside The Hub at TD Garden! This place is a total gem -- modern, clean, and super convenient whether you're heading to a game, concert, or just wandering around the city. I ordered the brown sugar boba with oat milk, and it was perfection. The boba was soft, warm, and chewy -- exactly how it should be -- and the drink was rich and creamy without being overly sweet. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. The menu is fun and creative too -- they've got everything from fruity teas to slushes, and even some refreshing sparkling options. The staff were friendly and patient while I decided (which took a minute, because I wanted everything). Bonus points for the sleek branding and fast service. Definitely adding this to my regular Boston stops. If you love bubble tea or just want something new to try near TD Garden, Currentea is 100% worth it. read more

I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with ice cream and it was tasty. The strawberry layer was your typical sweet puree made with strawberry chunks and a sugary syrup. the matcha flavor wasn't as strong as I would have liked but still decent and the ice cream (vanilla) added a nice creaminess to the drink as it melted. My friend ordered the half hot dog-half cheese corn dog and said it was very good. Good crunch and flavor. Came here for the grand opening deal of guy one get one free drinks and enjoyed it. It's a good spot to pop by for a drink if you're walking around in the area or on a first date. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to get to though. I would try it again, maybe get one of their drinks with cheese foam next time. read more

Currentea is such a good spot in Boston to get boba! It's newly opened, and they have a smaller menu of drinks that they make very well :) I would highly recommend people try it out, the staff are all super friendly, and are super chill if there's any issues with the order. Amazing, Boba is the best and warm! I stopped by this boba spot on a whim and was so impressed! The drinks were perfectly balanced - not too sweet, and the boba pearls had that ideal chewy texture. We went on the soft opening on Thursday, then returned today. The toasted brown sugar boba fresh milk was very good (sugar levels as-is), and the original lemon blastea was great with 30% sugar. So I personally got the Matcha Boba and I must say it is delicious with a nice earthy taste and the boba pearls being the perfect texture! The servers are super friendly and very helpful!
