My husband and I had reservations at another place for breakfast but the jackhammer on the street didn't sit well with us. We were out early for Key West so most places were closed. Yeah!!!! We just kept walking and found this gem. I kinda was a little apprehensive, but I'm so glad we ate here. Servers are kind and helpful. The watermelon sangria was refreshing. I got the mahi picatta. This is the same if you go to the local Cafe on southard unfortunately. I ordered the salmon sandwich which ive gotten for years, and the meat portion is less. i can deal bc at least half the sandwich had enough meat. but i cannot with the soup. i bought a $10 bowl soup togo and bruh filled it half way. I can understand not filling up a juice all they way when someone doesnt order ice, however this is more than messed up when something out of everything you ordered is shorted. i posted a picture of the $10 portion of soup i payed for that they served. read more

One of my favorite vegetarian restaurants ever. I've been to Key West many times and consistently struggle to find good vegetarian food because of the obvious seafood culture. My significant other did some research and found this place - I'm so sorry that I didn't know about it sooner! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. It was super satisfying because it was actually unique and well-made (a lot of vegetarian friendly places just give you a basic house salad and call it a day). The Chai latte was delicious too, and there is a cool bar inside I'd like to come back to. The atmosphere could use a little bit of an upgrade - maybe a fancier ambiance for dinner. I LOVE THIS PLACE - came here for lunch and dinner! The Chicken Salad and Kung Pao Tofu are very good, they are both bursting with flavor. The Chicken Salad has a nice creamy sauce with mango chutney with a generous portion size. The Kung Pao Tofu is filling as well with nice seasoned large chunks of tofu. The only 2 things that I wouldn't recommend is the veggie burger and the butternut squash empanadas. The veggie burger is very bland and thick, there is no flavor. I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The empanadas are soaked in oil and too greasy to eat. After taking a couple of bites, I felt sick. Overall, the food is pretty good (just stay away from the fried stuff). Come early for dinner as there tends to be a long wait, even past 8pm. read more

(COVID time review) This place is awesome for anyone who is vegetarian! I visited twice once for dinning in and again for take out. Dinning in was nice the staff did a good job seating people more than six feet apart and they always kept their masks on. The food was also wonderful the first time I ordered the avocado quinoa salad and the veggie dumplings (10/10). The second day I got the vegetarian eggs benedict (8/10). Not a bad place for vegan/vegetarian/neither food but nothing too special. Came in on a Saturday morning when I think they were short staffed, so the waitress was a little frazzled. There was a lot of good options to choose from, so maybe that's why I slightly regret my tofu Benedict that I was looking forward to. It didn't have much flavor despite a creamy avocado sauce. It was more of an underwhelming piece of toast with some tofu on top. The inside is a adorable and I wish I tried the vegan key lime pie, but they weren't serving desserts so early. Can't argue with the previous 5-Star reviews. A rare find for people looking for Vegan and Gluten Free meals. We started with the Brussell Sprout appetizer that was made with thinly sliced sprouts in a great dressing and sprinkled with "Portobello Bacon" slices and Parmesan cheese. Super Tasty and a large portion. We then shared the Grilled Salmon covered in Chimichurri Sauce,which is a Parsley based Pesto style sauce. It too was delicious and a generous portion. For sides we chose string beans and mashed potatoes that were also quite tasty. We decided on the Key Lime Cheesecake for dessert because you have to have Key Lime when in Key West, right. This was less than stellar though as the Key Lime topping simply overpowered the cheesecake. Some things aren't meant to be combined. In my opinion. Last year when I tried this spot I felt a bit disappointed in some of the mains and hit or miss service. Knowing there was potential we decided to try the spot again and we are glad we did. This time out the service was quite attentive, but it was also not as busy as last time - in any case a big improvement from last time. We both ordered the fresh watermelon, cucumber and lime juice which is amazing refreshing. We ordered the BBQ Un-wing Dings without really knowing what these were - basically they are fried blocks of tofu served buffalo wing style. The flavor was good, but I have a high standard with vegetarian buffalo wings due to a local spot in NY (Oneness Fountain Heart has an amazing version "buffalo wings" that I have never found anywhere else). We both decide on mahi mahi for our mains - I had the blackened mahi mahi sandwich and my wife had the beet salad with a grilled piece. Both versions were excellent, probably the best pieces of fish we had while in the Keys this year. The salad was quite generous and too much to finish. My sandwich came with a tasty bean salad, which I liked. There is obvious reason this place is popular and I am glad I finally was able to experience the great service and food this time out - improving on my last visit for sure. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and had a great experience! Had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated because they were ensuring not to seat people closer than 6 feet which I appreciated. I ordered the blackened mahi sandwich with French fries. The sandwich was delicious and it was a thick piece of mahi! The fries were average - your normal small cut variety. My husband ordered the "meatball" sandwich with the marinated bean salad. He really enjoyed it and we both really liked the bean salad. For drinks I ordered the iced matcha latte with almond milk which was delicious and not sweetened - just the way I like. My husband got the bottomless mimosas and definitely got his money's worth - they were really good about coming by and keeping his drink full. We also got a slice of vegan double chocolate chip cake to go and enjoyed that later in the day. Overall the food was good, the atmosphere was nice, and everything felt clean and safe. I always come here when I visit my hometown of Key West. The food is delicious but good grief why they charge more for tofu than shrimp is beyond me. Tofu is the cheapest protein you can buy and yet they charge you $8 if you want to add some to your meal. That is outrageous. Should definitely be less. I recommend the bok choy side dish.
