We took our two dogs to TCC and met with Pam. She was very helpful in helping us manage one of our dogs that was very reactive dog to TV's.

The short - I didn't think my trainer was a good fit. I thought it felt scripted and a lot of the response wasn't helpful for the lifestyle I live. I brought my dogs in to the canine center for a few classes and a private training. Today, our trainer said that to solve my GSD's reactivity on the leash, we just needed to stop letting her go to the dog park. Okay, that's fine to have the a stance about a dog park, but i expect some sort of guide or training if I'm paying for a private session; not just - "stop taking your dog to the dog park." That's not a cure-all. Giving us a scripted answer that the dog park is the root of all evil isn't particular helpful for the situation that we're currently in. Which is truly, she has already learned reactivity on the leash so * where do we go/what do we do from here. * My vet had recommended this place many times but fool me three times canine center! Maybe other trainers are better or a better fit, but I felt like I could have Googled and saved myself $100. Additionally - the website says their recess is their take on day care; the trainer told me it's only for puppies. Too many conflicting message here. This place isn't for me and my fur babies. read more

I can't praise their services enough, especially Paul Mann, who talked me off more ledges than I am willing to admit. I rescued a six month old owner rescue chihuahua and was in over my head - my previous fur baby had ruined me for any other and I did not think I could get through the issues with my new one, but Paul proved me WAY wrong. In a desperate sense of urgency (on my part) I was able to get in with him in less than a few days - I live in Houston - and drove in on a Saturday for a few hours. Hands down, the best money, time, and energy I spent on my dog. I cried a few times because I wasn't sure I could get through her anger issues but he reassured me that it was very possible. And guess what, he was so right. Nearly a year later, I am still making such progress with Xochi and I know that I owe it ALL to the time I spent here. Just because I live in Houston didn't mean that my one time trip was "said and done". Paul made certain that I left with the written resources I needed plus three different ways to contact him - literally. I will not admit to how many times I reached out to him, but I will admit to the amount of times he made himself available - every single time. These people know what they are doing. I would have totally given up on my dog had I not taken the chance of this center. I even made sure to reach out to the rescue where I got my dog from to make sure they had this information and location for any future fur parents in the same situation. If you have any doubt, please don't. They will give you the time and attention you need and will work with you every single step of the way. Couldn't recommend them enough. read more

I cannot get over how much I love this place! We first went to the Canine Center when we adopted a sensitive pup with an unknown past. They helped us with an assessment of her, recommendations for a vet, changes in diet, and how to decrease her overall anxiety. We've taken a couple workshops by various presenters, our favorite being Sheri, and always leave with more practical information to put into our daily life. Because of all that we've learned, my husband, my daughter, and I are more responsible dog owners and our pup is a much happier animal. In other words, everyone enjoys everyone's company. What really sent us over the moon in loving CCTB was a super stressful situation for both pup and owner. In July, we were let down last minute by our dog sitter who was scheduled to take care of our pup while we were in Boston for a whole week. We did not receive this information until we were already out of state and through phone calls and emails, the Canine Center was able to take our puppy in and tutor her during the day and board her at night. Curtis and Lianna were absolute Lifesavers! The pictures and videos that came through my phone during that trip really melted my heart. When we picked up Ella, she was tired and dirty but was so happy and transitioned easily back into our home. If I had more money to board and tutor my pup with the Canine Center during every trip, I would absolutely do it with no hesitation. read more

He's still a puppy and has come a long way towards great behavior, but I am more impressed with what I have learned! Before I start... Canine Center, please feel free to not reply to my comment... As i don't need a passive aggressive and condescending response like the replies you have given to other former clients. I tried to get my dog training as soon as I could. I did quite a few classes with them..or atleast attempted too.. each trainer I got continued to start out with how terrible my dog was, and would let this fact be known in front of the entire classes. I stayed because in my mind,'these are trainers and they can help me.' But each week more comments about signing up for tutor days, which is fine.. but no concrete suggestions to help... just how a less than 5 month old puppy is terrible! Sitting listening to the same thing about nutrition, play, socialization with humans and not dogs over and over, at every class was like deja vu. I use to be in the military so I'm use to people giving orders. But it was quite obvious that many of the trainers have a preference towards breeds, and can't even pretend to like or work with certain breeds. Even the owner who I only saw in passing made comments about my dog, and how this breed will never be able to be house trained... so why am I going to this place?! Please note my dog started out there when she was around 2-3 months old.. these folks need to really review their protocols and how they conduct trainings.. especially, because it looked like they were just wanting more and more money. Best thing I could have done was take my dog to new trainers that want to work with her, and that can be honest with me, and give feedback and actual suggestions. Btw, I'm a veteran with PTSD, and it was beyond disappointing for me and my dog to be treated that way.. there is no reply or need for words from them now.. as they seemed to have nothing to say when I cancelled services, and hung up the phone so quickly, and didn't reply to my email! read more

As a former elementary school teacher I greatly value the Canine Center's philosophy and credibility. They know what they are doing and put animals first. The owner and trainers can come across as being overly particular or "harsh". I believe this is because, as stated above, they truly do know what they are doing. This is their domain and something that all employees are beyond passionate about. Their advice and instruction comes from years of experience. Much like teaching everyone has an opinion on dog training, however very few of those people have actually worked as a creditable dog trainer. If you want proper instruction that results in a life long change in human thinking and dog behavior this is the place to go! read more

These folks are the real deal. If you want to go to a cute doggy school where they will teach your dog to sit for treats, or use a facility that embraces shock and/or pinch collars to train your doggo, this place isn't for you. If you want to be around canine professionals that live and breathe dogs and the science going on inside their cute little brains, then check this place out. Yes, they are long-winded. Yes, they will give you a tonnnnnn of information. Yes, you could entirely change your entire routine and how you interact with your dog if you followed every single suggestion they gave, but isn't that what you're paying to learn about?? Dogs are our babies, but they are animals that should be respected as such. That means helping them thrive as individuals and protecting them to make good decisions and keep them safe. And yes, your perfect angel of a pooch may have limitations that you need to consider as their owner and advocate. Not every dog is a patio dog you can safely and comfortably take to the bar, or your faithful hiking companion in the 100 heat. The trainer may lay some truth when you work with them, which can be tough to hear- BUT THEY ARE DOING IT WITH YOUR DOG'S BEST INTERESTS IN MIND. A little over 2 years ago, I adopted a dog. My newly adopted dog was fearful of others and unable to walk politely on a leash in public. Needless to say, we were in a 'ruff' situation. We began with the Adult Basics class and have since taken numerous other classes, including working toward Canine Good Citizen. I have watched my dog blossom at the Canine Center. He now enjoys Agility and Rally. We have been able to take walks in the park and around our neighborhood without the fear and reactivity he once had. My comments are only about the puppy classes. I felt like the puppy classes were more like group therapy for new puppy owners. You really didn't spend any time "training" your dog until the end of the sessions. I believe leash training needs to start much earlier and I think they need to teach the traditional "heal" rather than using a hardness and leads to manage the dog. read more

The Canine Center is nothing but excellent. The staff there are highly trained and dedicated to working with dogs and their humans. When we first started working with them, I saw how different they were, because they asked that all members of our family attend the training class. It's about getting everyone on board and having everyone use the same techniques and principles at home. They believe in positive reinforcement and teaching your dogs to look to their humans as the source of boundaries, love, and fun! They even taught us about what and how to feed the dogs and lots of other practical info. I've taken three dogs to obedience, Rally-O, fieldwork, Canine Good Citizen, and hiking classes. One was especially anxious so we took her to a class for anxious dogs. I've also been on hiking trips and a camp out/hiking weekend at Colorado Bend. Every one of those classes was top notch! I highly recommend this center for teaching your dogs and you how to have a happier life together. My wife and I have taken our cane corso here who has been extremely reactive to people. They taught us how to communicate effectively with her and teach her how to calm down when she gets riled up. Our other dog is a very hyper pittie mix who is very territorial. We were able to find great outlets for him and took an agility course here which he loved. We love coming here and will continue to come here in the future. They offer dog recess (daycare) with training or in general puppy classes and interactive activities with your dog. Excellent location for safe outdoor classes. Expert trainers with years of experience with all types of dogs with all sorts of issues or needs. I started classes there with a year old registered German Shepherd I was caring for that knew a lot of commands and behaved well, but had not been socialized with many people or other dogs. After several group classes, a day care day and one on one lesson, I was able to walk him by any dog at a safe distance with no pulling or reaction, just using a harness. My new dog is on the opposite end, she is 10 months old, from APA and loves every person and dog. She's off to a great start to becoming a well-trained pup who will be welcomed everywhere. The observations, analysis and recommendations for the dogs and me were right on point and I've learned more than I thought I could after a lifetime of having dogs. read more

Brisket and I had our first obedience class here at The Canine Center and it was an a weakening. Right from the start, the two ladies who got us registered were phenomenal. Needless to say I got hooked; payed up for the class, and we got ready for Jyl- The puppy guru-a Redheaded energized instructor. Brisket found out that for the first six months of his immature lifetime, he had done me wrong, and solemnly and joyfully promised that he will amend his ways. This Jyl is full of tips and know-hows to over come every little deviance these little badtards throw at you. Thanks to the couple that referred these guys. Brisket, my wife, my son and I are very excited and looking forward to have and obedient and well adjusted mascot in our BBQ joint. Let's face it your pets are putting you together. We found them last year and brought our dog in for an open lure coursing activity. We appreciated the opportunity. This year, I'm working near by and wanted to drop her for for their "recess day" as it sounded like a great program and her ideal day of fun. I emailed the address on the website to verify basic info, drop off times, pick up times and protocol for getting her booked. After a total of 13 emails were exchanged to get this simple info, my card declined while trying to book and before I could reply with another card the spot had been booked to another client. Frustrated, I called their main line at the end of my work day and asked for a manager. I was told none were available nor would they be available for several days. When I opted to not share my concern with the person on the phone, their receiver was abruptly hung up. Beyond my basic frustration of the customer service representative's lack of basic reading comprehension, I'm not very certain about trusting my dog for an entire day with an incompetent staff whom hasn't any proper oversight from management, which clearly impacts how they perform their job. read more

I made an appointment with the canine center to discuss my possibly using them to train my dogs. I called the day before to cancel- a courtesy call only as I had not entered into any formal agreement with them. Then I got an email saying they had charged me $100.00 for a private session with a trainer. I never agreed to this or to pay if I canceled. The whole point was to discuss my dog problems and then decide if I wanted their services. I absolutely NEVER made an appointment with a trainer and I canceled the day before. They said I was 2 hours late in a 24 hour cancellation. Even doctors accept cancellations the day before. Don't use them or they'll charge you before you're even a customer. I complained about their bill and they turned around and gave me $50 back. This issue is still ongoing. Be careful. read more

My dog and I love the Canine Center. We saw an agility demo at a show and that's the class we started with. My blue heeler, Ellie Mae has taken most of the sport classes, agility, fieldwork, air scenting, dog powered sports and nose work, she loves them all. We've been on 2 of the ski trips to Colorado and many of their camping trips both here and in Colorado. All of their trainers are knowledgeable and I trust them completely with my dog. They also have classes for the senior dogs that need to stay active but need lower impact activities. Took my senior boxer for fungility and he loved it! They work with all dog types and ages. Took the class Come When Called:Proofing Against Distractions. I think I went in to the class with the wrong expectations. I was thinking we'd focus more on methods of keeping our dog focused on walks, but we mainly focused on getting our dog to come to us and that's it. The class was relaxed and casual, but I just don't feel it met my expectations. The cost of the class was very reasonable, and our instructor was nice to work with. If the title of the class was just Come When Called I think I would have had the correct expectations and maybe not chosen that class as we were looking for training that focused on working with easily distracted dogs. We may go back but on the fence. Pro tip: bring enough water for your dog and yourself as it's all outside! read more

I will start this off by saying my husband and I are business owners in the city, and my sweet old basset hound has come to work with us every single day for the last 4 years. While it is not legal for us to have a dog in our salon, the department of licensing and regulation has been in and told us that due to Austin being as dog friendly as it is, they'd never fine us for having him and they left happily. Suddenly after 4 years, my bassethound has realized that our business and being there 5 days a week is his home, and has developed a protective nature strictly during his walks outside of our place. He has began showing leash aggression and attempts to protect us during walks. Two displays of this were a man on a bicycle- my dog lunged at him nipped his leg out of fear. A situation that was excused, the person was not hurt or mad and left. The second situation being a construction worker that I warned not once, but twice that my dog has not taken well to men surrounding our block and asked him to stay away. He insisted on approaching me to introduce himself and after two warnings proceeded to come near me. My basset, as I warned him lunged and bit his work boot. I didn't apologize because I had warned him off twice and thought it wasn't wise of him to continue to approach me so in that situation I felt safe. Both of these instances were OUTSIDE, on walks where my pup felt he needed to be protective, and while it's appreciated is not behavior I want to continue. *I will also state that my dog absolutely loves being at work with us all day, he knows when it's time to leave just by seeing what color clothes we have on. He is a mascot of our business and has never and would NEVER bite a person inside of our business. This behavior is strictly to outdoors and is leash aggression developed within the last 9-12 months.* Now fast forward past incidences and to information leading me to The Canine Center for Behavior and Training. Behavior and training, perfect!! My dog has leash aggression, they are dog trainers. They will understand my situation and hopefully come to my rescue as it is their profession to train dogs and improve their behavior. After all, leash aggression seems like a fairly common thing in dogs, a behaviorist would have dealt with and should be a quick and easy diagnosis. I filled out a pamphlet prior to my visit describing multiple times my major concern, being leash aggression specifically towards men, and a few undesirable barks at the fedex and ups people. Full detail description of what my needs were, what my dog was doing, the whole profile and sent it in. Then was asked for a credit card to pay a $125 charge for what my receipt states was to be a "60 minute personal training session" for my dog. We drove a little over 45 minutes to their facility, where we sat down with the dog trainer and began going over all of the paper work. She asked a lot of the same questions that we had answered on the paper she had in front of her to get a fresh vision of what our expectations of the training would be. After going over the information again and the specifics that it is something that only EVER happens on walks OUTSIDE of the salon, she determined that training him at their facility would be useless and asked us to follow her to the main office where we could determine if an on-location training session would be better fitted. I agreed tremendously because after all, that's where the issue was. We cut our "lesson" (the part where we went over everything I put down on paper prior to arrival) 30 minutes short, and head to the office. When we get to the office the trainer reiterated everything we discussed to the girl that works at the front desk. She also insinuated that since we drove out all that way and she said training our dog at their facility would be useless, she was going to speak to the owner about whether or not a credit could be issued for our second class since nothing of value was discussed during our first visit. Another thing we were excited about and agreed to since as she mentioned, nothing was learned or taught. That night we received an email from the dog trainer saying that after a couple of conversations and research her discovery was that "having a dog in a salon was illegal, and it was her best suggestion for us to keep our dogs at home where he would be happy and safe." This was disappointing to receive, as it was already information we were aware of- as well as the fact that we went to this facility for training, not for them to make recommendations for a lifestyle change and completely flip our dogs life upside down. We wanted training for leash aggression, not to be told what would make our dog happiest which couldn't have been further from wrong. After I voiced my concerns and opinions about that email in a reply, they agreed to work with us and wanted to make sure "we knew the legality involved" on our side and wanted to make sure they were protected. From the moment I have met my wife she has always wanted a dog but late last year efforts intensified on the dog front. She wanted a dog... I didn't want a dog.... so we compromised and got a dog! We made the conscious decision to get a dog from a rescue charity to give an innocent animal that had such a tough start to life a second chance. My wife was actually volunteering with the German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas at the time. This non profit is nothing short of amazing. The founder Bev is so selfless and really give's absolutely everything she has to finding these dogs a forever home after (in many occasions) a very rough start. We opted to rescue a GSD who was 11 months old and already on her 4th home (original owners, 2 foster homes and the rescue shelter). She was found at the side of the road being attacked by a pack of dogs and pregnant. How anyone has the heart to simply dump a dog at the side of the road in the middle of summer in Texas is simply beyond me. She had obviously been treated so badly and was absolutely petrified of any man (including myself) that came near her. It wasn't an easy ride for myself, my wife or Athena and there was lots of transitioning and learning. There was times I really questioned the decision when she was so fear aggressive and disobedient perhaps not understanding the gravitation of the task we had undertaken. We chose to take Athena here (The Canine Center for Training and Behavior) initially focusing on fearful aggression. The team (in particular Shari and Julie) were nothing shot of fantastic. As a bit of a self confessed skeptic initially wondering if we could really undo the stress and behavior disorders Athena had developed I found myself very quickly learning from the team. Understanding how to correct those behaviors quickly. So much of what they explained was so obvious when you began to think of it from the dogs perspective. Shari even went as far as to complete a home lesson with us to assess Athena in her new comfort zone. Last week marked quite the achievement for Athena as 6 months on she passed her adult obedience class. Almost like a proud parent I watched her pass everything with flying colors and even more impressive was she didn't try to eat her certificate at the end of the course. I couldn't recommend this training and behavior school enough! The team are fantastic, their knowledge is astounding and they allow your dog to be the best dog it possible can be. We have gone from questioning the decision of rescuing such an unpredictable, aggressive dog to a well behaved, well mannered member of our family. We adopted a rescue dog that spent about 9 months in a kennel environment. He was so stressed out and we needed much help. We attended the basic training class, canine good citizen class, and a field work class. We also had a few one-on-one consultations. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate. Lots of training with positive rewards. The classes were fun for both my dog and myself. The training area is big and there is plenty of space to keep a safe distance between dogs. When I took my pup here, I was at my wits end. He had an issue with kids- me kept running up to them and knocking them over. At 85 lbs, this was no small issue. The trainers were kind, they paid attention to my dog's needs, and quickly came up with a training plan. It wasn't long before he could happily play with children, understanding they were no threat. I first visited the Canine Center as a rescue volunteer about 5 years ago. We'd take dogs to their facility for evaluations and training. Shari was always clear and generous with her insights and advice, and never condescending or judgmental, regardless of what issues the dogs we brought may have had. I later brought my own elderly dog there for fun. We started with a class for shy dogs and then she was tracked into a "puppy fungility" class, which was easier on her arthritic limbs since the jumps were removed to help protect developing puppies from injury. Watching my somewhat ragged, elderly dog hanging out with adorable purebred puppies was a source a constant entertainment for me. JJ and Jane were incredibly gentle with her, always adjusted the course to her needs, and let us take as long as we needed. We continued attending practice agility classes all the way up until she died of old age. They were a consistent source of joy for my dog, so much so that the last year of her life was probably one of her happiest. She loved that place. Around that time I'd acquired a very different dog - a hypervigilant, insecure, and work-driven dog who needed a *lot* of support. Thanks for the Canine Center's varied approach, he's calmer, sillier, and much, much happier. We've primarily worked on confidence building using T-Touch and dog sports. He's turned into something of a jock, honestly, so we go there regularly for Rally-O, tutor days, and tracking classes. I don't think we would have succeeded nearly as well anywhere else. Our family has taken several classes and camps through the years - Puppy Basics, Canine Good Citizen, kids camp, tutor days, and leash work outings at the Galleria. Our classes always had a good mix of breeds and personalities. The training and guidance we have received has helped us to train our dog to be a well behaved companion, and a good playmate/friend to other dogs. Within 1 week of adopting my puppy I knew I had my hands full compared to other dogs. The Canine Center was the only place I wanted to take my pup. We enrolled in a puppy primer and quickly got the advice that my boy was alert enough for puppy class. We did a puppy class where my dog was a maniac compared to the others, leash biting, bored staying still, but the trainer always laughed at his personality and I got the best tips. We enrolled him in tutoring for his mouthing, leash biting, impulse issues and it became his happy place besides home. I then reinforced that tutoring at home and he became more manageable. Fast forward a year and we have done puppy agility, workshops, fieldwork and nosework there. I trusted them with him when we moved. My dog still has quite the personality at 14 months, he still gets bored waiting in class, but working with 5 trainers now in all the classes, they have always been so positive in approach and tips with him. He has become such a great dog and we have had so much fun together in all the stuff we have done. I highly recommend this place for you and your dog. The best training class I've ever taken! I have had so many dogs over my life and honestly felt like this place gets it! They are not only training my dog but they are training me. Our habits , emotions and focus are all reflecting in our pets. I feel that in order to train an animal one of the most important things is learning to be in the moment. I thought I was a great dog owner -- until I got Stella & Coco. Fortunately, The Canine Center helped me enjoy my "difficult" dogs! Stella & Coco are pit mixes, a wonderful but misrepresented breed. (Note, some training centers won't even accept pit mixes.) Stella was a former stray, suspicious of humans, and Coco had vet aggression. The Center helped all of us overcome these difficulties. More importantly, we have fun at the Center! We enjoy taking classes in: Agility, Nosework, Fieldwork, Air-Scenting, CGC Training, and more. Stella, Coco, and I are at the Center almost every week. Before registering for classes I saw that this Canine center had excellent reviews on Yelp. I called the center to make sure that our choice of " Basic training for adult dogs" was a good option for our 7-month puppy. The person I talked to was very polite, she answered all my questions and confirmed my choice ... We were really happy to start our classes (6 consecutive lessons x 90 min each every Sunday afternoon). I was said that we will receive an email before our first session with all detail (where we meet, what to bring, etc.). But we did not receive anything until the first day of training. We were so busy that day, I didn't see that "last-minute" email with several attachments (sent Sunday morning around 10am). It was too late to print it out and to read it. Our first lesson was a total disaster. We didn't learn anything. There were 8 dogs and only 1 instructor at the beginning. Our instructor spent at least 40 min (!) to see /arrange what she brought to her first class (leashes, old toys, treats, chains, etc.). All our dogs were very excited, barking... She said that her assistant was late. Everybody was patently waiting... Finally, she said "Hi" and asked us to introduce our dogs (their breed, age, character, etc.) and share our expectations. Her assistant finally also arrived. After that, they spent 20 min more to see our dogs' equipment and suggested to buy new harnesses & leashes at their center. 10 min before the end of our first class the instructor decided that it would be great to test their center's harnesses and leashes. So the only exercise we had during our first lesson was leash walking. And we finished 15 min later than expected. We thought that's ok, it happens, it was just our first lesson. But the second lesson was not better. It was raining, windy and cold that day. She put our fluffy cream puppy, my husband and me in the muddiest place of the ground. All chairs were wet and dirty too. We couldn't have a seat while waiting for the instructor to get ready for our second lesson. When she started speaking, some dogs were still barking. She asked just to ignore them. But I couldn't hear anything and I was trying to calm down our dog. She pointed her finger at me and said to everyone "She does exactly what I don't want her to do. I've already said several times that you have to ignore your dogs when they're barking". I felt so uncomfortable and guilty. Our homework for the second lesson was to find more info about our dogs's breed. We spent at least 30 min to listen to 8 dog owners describing their dogs specificities. We were the last, nobody listened to us even our instructor. During our second lesson (in the rain) we just learnt how to play and to give treats to our dogs. When the lesson was finished, our fluffy cream puppy was completely wet and dirty. We brought tons of mud to our car on our shoes too. I didn't see but I read on their website I guess that they have a covered place if it rains but apparently our instructor decided we were fine to stay more than 1hour 30 min in the rain. I need to say that I was 8month pregnant and it was very hard for me not to have a seat at least from time to time. We couldn't make it to our 3rd and 4th lesson, I sent an email to our instructor and asked her to send us at least her notes. She replied that she doesn't send notes to people who miss classes (even if we paid for 6 classes in advance). She suggested to schedule a couple of make up classes through their office (30 min/ $35 each). We decided that it was not worth it. We never came back. We took our two dogs, Pepper and Blue Bell, to the old location many times and were thrilled with the results. Our dogs are very well behaved now and were great with our new baby when we introduced them. read more

We've taken several of their classes and signed up for multiple tutor days and couldn't be happier. I did a lot of research on other trainers and wasn't impressed with the other options in Austin. Other places were staffed by part time "hobby trainers" with minimal training and their classes were a bit chaotic and disorganized. At the Canine Center, the trainers are experts and the classes are well structured and organized. The trainers have gotten to know our dog and they provide excellent advice and guidance. Our rescue puppy was really struggling with walking on a leash and our daily walks would leave us stressed out and exhausted. After one tutor session with their trainers he was remarkably better. He's not perfect, but now our walks are calming rather than stressful. I highly recommend their puppy agility class! It was so much fun, our dog had a blast, and it was the perfect way to keep his puppy mind engaged and his puppy paws out of trouble! read more

I haven't taken a class here but my roommate and I took our dogs to their annual Canine Camp. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was AWESOME. It was VERY well organized and is a great way for you and your BFF (insert dog's name) to bond. There are a good number of different types of classes offered so that you can explore and see what your dog really enjoys or does not enjoy. The trainers really do know what they're doing and are able to give valuable insight for any questions or problems your dog may have. I'll be looking to sign BOBO up for classes once they open their San Antonio location. read more

The Canine Center for Training and Behavior has absolutely the best trainers and facilities I have found. Everyone is professional, positive, and incredibly knowledgable. They all love dogs and want to see them succeed. I would never dream of taking one of my dogs to any other trainers. I have tried several in the past and was frustrated and unhappy with the results, and then I found The Canine Center! I can't emphasize what a wonderful experience I've had there and the joy it has brought to me and my dogs. read more

I took my two dogs to the Canine Center for training and we love the positive training and the overall environment. We also attended Canine Camp which far exceeded my expectations. The trainers are positive & encouraging. One of my dogs is very active while one dog is scared of the world. I signed the scared dog up for a Confidence Building class which taught me some tools to help him out. We love the Canine Center! read more

We love the canine center! My dog Colby is afraid of strangers and other various things and responds aggressively as a result of that fear. He also has three legs and is very energetic. We've done a few private lessons with Jane and one with Jyl and they are amazing! They both are great at explaining training techniques and how they will benefit Colby long term. He's also started going to tutoring which he loves! I can tell he's been learning after he goes! I must say what I love most is that they treat Colby like he's part of the family when he's there even if he's barking his head off at them! If you've got a four (or three) legged friend who is in need of some training this is the place to go! read more
