We had a reservation for 6:15 PM and were seated right away in a booth. The restaurant has a classic steakhouse feel with dim lighting and a quieter atmosphere. There wasn't any noticeable music during our visit, which made it easy to have a conversation. Parking is essentially valet only, so that made getting there a bit more difficult. One thing worth mentioning is that the staff came by to take a complimentary photo of our group. It's a nice gesture, but afterward they offer to sell it in a souvenir frame which felt a little salesy. I started with the house Pinot Noir, which was smooth, easy to drink, and reasonably priced compared to the rest of the wine list. For food, I ordered the 8 oz Prime Rib cooked medium rare along with the garlic cheesy bread for the table. The garlic bread was easily my favorite part of the meal. It had a soft, cheesy interior with a crisp, golden crust, and the cheese and garlic were well balanced without feeling too heavy. The prime rib had good flavor and was cooked to the requested temperature. It was juicy overall, though a few bites were a little chewier than I expected. Still, it was an enjoyable steak and satisfying for the portion size. I would recommend this as a date night or special occasion category rather than an everyday dinner. It's on the expensive side, but between the atmosphere, attentive service, and decent food, it's a place I may consider returning to when celebrating something.

Lemme start by saying that our server, Roberto, was lovely and attentive. The entire wait staff was, actually. No complaints there. The restaurant itself is really nice. Kind of a vibe. Loved the old-timey music playing. The bar looked gorgeous. The food was... ehhhh. Had the famous garlic bread which was nice but not great. The spinach and artichoke dip was actually really good and possibly the best part of the meal. My burger was average. The cole slaw was bland. The BBQ ribs were cold and kinda rubbery. The baked beans were good, but overly sweet. The beers were extra cold and quite nice. All in all, the food is definitely not worth the price. My boyfriend and I both agreed we'd be back to sit at the bar to share the spinach dip and some beers - but that's about it.

Came here for the first time for my anniversary dinner. the vibes are super cool and vintage, a lot of black/white photos on the walls The food was not bad, I think that the portions were very good and the prices were good too. The tri tip comes with 2 sides and is a good portion, but we ordered it medium and it looked more medium well. The filet came as we it was ordered (medium rare) and it was well seasoned, it did not need any sauce. I got it with the mashed potatoes, they definitely needed salt/pepper. And the green beans it came with were a little overcooked. The cheesy garlic bread was super yummy! For sure the best thing I ate, the bread was so soft inside while the outside was crunchy. And it had a good garlic flavor The chocolate bundt cake was yummy, not too sweet and the portion was good to share. I love how their martinis come with extra on the side! You are basically getting 2 for the pri of 1. I do wish that it was colder or was served in a chilled glass, it was basically room temp after 15 min.

The Smoke House is one of those classic old school steakhouse restaurants. It seems like a time capsule during the heyday of Hollywood. The feel inside is like an old movie set where you would see mobsters or a high powered dinner in the movies, shaking hands and doing deals, vintage red leather booths, low light, Hollywood royalty and movies on the walls, very cool vibes inside. The food here is great, prime rib is excellent, tender, full of flavor, raw horseradish, nothing better. This is what I got the last time I was there, medium rare prime rib, mashed potatoes and veggies, capped off with a piece of cheesecake. Loved it all, no complaints. They have so much on the menu to try and what I have tried, it is all very good. They have a number of various dining areas as well as a full bar and private rooms for functions. I actually had my rehearsal dinner here 25 years ago for my wedding party, it was amazing, private rooms, great service, great food. It only took me 25 years to write a review, ha ha. This is a place where you can dress up and have a great night out, or just casual shirts and a r-shirt and feel just as comfortable there. Anytime have been here it is always busy, the dining areas as well as the bar is happening. You can enjoy some great food, grab drinks and hang out, it is a good time. They are located across from Warner Bros. And not too much of a stretch to see someone famous there. They do only have Valet parking and the parking all around is by permit only, so beware. Enjoy!

My High School friend recommended this place. I was definitely game since I LOVE checking out buffets that I haven't been to. This place definitely did not fail!! Open from 10 to 2 PM. We went on a Sunday, so we were lucky to find free street parking. I was surprised that on the other side of the street, it was only free for one hour on a Sunday!! There's a valet if you want to pay. We got there before 10 am and there was a line already. Once we got inside, I definitely noticed the decor and how tasteful this place was. Definitely old school with the leather seats. There were eight of us, so they had to put two tables together. We all got a mimosa. After two, I couldn't drink anymore. The dining area which contained all the food was nicely done. The food all looked good and displayed nicely. There were plenty of salads to choose from, different types of meat (chicken, sausage, ...), LOVED the cheese bread. The Omelette station was GREAT. I LOVED my omelette. The only thing that I would recommend is salsa. The dessert section was good, but I was SO FULL, I couldn't enjoy it very much. I LOVE churro, but I didn't like theirs because it had a filling. The chocolate cookie was pretty good. There's also fruit if you want something healthy. Our dirty plates got taken away fairly quickly. Our mimosa glasses were also filled quickly. I LOVED my coffee which was perfect with my desserts. My only complaint was that the gal taking pics didn't even approach our table!! What's with that?!?!

Food- Food was good, the garlic bread was the best. Ambiance- Restaurant is in a beautiful spot. If you're a movie buff, you might recognize it as the restaurant from LALA Land. It was very very loud in there. Service- server was great. The photographer that comes by to sell you pictures could've had more tact. They printed out 3 photos and sold us 1. When I asked for the other 2, he threw them out.

I want to give this place a higher rating because the food itself was quite good, but the front desk host experience was a total mess. I arrived with a reservation and checked in, but the hosts upfront were incredibly ditzy. They somehow recorded my name completely wrong in their system. Despite having an active reservation, I ended up waiting 20 minutes past my time while they kept mispronouncing my first name and eventually just started calling me by my last name. When they finally figured it out and seated us, there wasn't even a standard "sorry about that" or any acknowledgment of the mix-up. On the bright side, the kitchen knows what it's doing. The famous garlic bread absolutely lives up to the hype, and the prime rib was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I also really appreciated that they brought out a free birthday dessert to celebrate the occasion. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is classic and nice.

First time dining here.. My son and I came to celebrate the end of his school year.. First off, we didn't have a reservation on a Tuesday evening and this place was packed! We went on a stand by list and waited for about an hour. Killed some time enjoying a cocktail at the very old skool bar which was a cool experience! This place is very nostalgic with all the pics of celebs from yesteryear posted on the walls.. It's kinda of a blast from the past waking into this establishment that the decor probably hasn't changed much since 1946! We ordered some steak entrees, tri tip and a sirloin. Cooked to perfection coupled with some delicious sides. Complemented my meal with a lemon drop martini and finished with a slice of cheesecake.... Overall good experience; food quality, service and ambiance! I would definitely come back here to try other items!

First time here. The restaurant was authentic/vintage vibes. A lot of pictures of celebs that have visited here. The service was good but the table booth seating was very uncomfortable. It was good for 50 years ago when people may have been leaner lol. Food was ok. The service was good but felt a little rushed. The medium rare steak was very good. Didn't need steak sauce for sure. The garlic cheese bread was fantastic! The carrot cake was very good, I'd pass on the apple pie. I'd come back here to try a few things again and get seated in a non booth table.l for a little more room. Mimi the server was fantastic :)

Redemption! I've been twice since writing my last review. I can happily report that my experiences were more in line with the Smokehouse I've known and loved over the years. The steaks were well cooked. The rack of lamb was delicious. And the martinis were generous. Everything was fine...and at a fair price, too!

Great experience, super busy, worth it! Thanks to a friend for making reservations, it was busy, of course we chose to go on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious, cuts were perfect. Veggies were so fresh. Yes, the garlic bread is amazing. Customer service was on point. They have valet parking only so have your cash ready for tips and parking. It was busy but they were very helpful, there's a lot of seating including in the bar area. I highly recommend coming here, it's a landmark for this area.

Came here for lunch with a group of four during the weekday and got seated instantly. The vibe is very neat. The booth area is so cool and then there's an area for dining tables w chairs. I got the smoke house prime rib sandwich which is an open sandwich. The prime rib was very tasty! The cole slaw was sweet and sour. The staff were very attentive with refills for our drinks. Overall, a pleasant dining experience and I would come again. There is free street parking around the restaurant. There is also valet parking for $8.

Amazing prime rib and steak house! I have dined in NYC, Chicago, and Kansas City steak houses (not too fancy) just good local restaurants and must say Smokehouse in Burbank is on of our favorites. Outstanding prime rib, filet, garlic cheese bread! This place is special!

Ask the Community - Burbank Smokehouse

We have a classic restored 1956 Chrysler New Yorker and would love to drive to the Smokehouse can I park myself we'll pay for valet?

Don’t hurt to ask but you may be lucky to get a parking spot right in from of the restaurant. Best wishes.

Hi there. I made a reservation last nite on open table for 7 of us for Saturday nite. We are coming to see Chauncey Hines (as well as to come to your fantastic place). How do we ask to be seated so we can enjoy the music while we are having dinner?

Be specific in your reservation with the request of where you want to sit. Perhaps call in advance to see if they can accommodate.

Hi do y'all do Sunday brunch with crab legs? What's the cost?

They do have the same items during lunch and dinner, at least they did last time we were there (in June). Make sure to get the garlic bread too :)

Is there jazz music /band on a Friday night in the bar area?

Yes, They have live music on Thu (Jazz), Fri and Sat (top40).

    What are Happy Hours?

Happy Hour is Monday thru Friday from 3 to 5 P.M.

How much is the Sunday Brunch?

I was there in March. $52 per person and 18% surcharge on check .

What is the minimum and maximum for private dining? When is private dining available?

Sorry, I don't know the answer to this question. I think they may have private dining rooms but I am not certain.

Are they more well known for their steaks, ribs, or prime rib? Out of the 3, which is the best? We're going tonight.

All three are good! I'm not a prime rib person but I can tell you that the steaks and ribs are really good!! Also the garlic bread is excellent - despite what some people have written below, it's really yummy!

When is lunch hour till when?

They serve lunch from opening until 4:00pm.

What are lunch hours ? Do you need reservations for lunch?

Sorry that we do not have sufficient staff to do a weekly buffet brunch, but we do offer a limited plated brunch. We hope you enjoy your visit to California.

Hey, do you still have the Monday prime rib special and if so, how much does it cost and what hours?

Hi Rod, yes we still offer our Monday Prime Rib Special. The cost is $28. If you go to our website you will find information on the different specials that we serve daily. Thank you for reaching out, we look forward to serving you.

Do you require fixed menus for large parties?,

I'm guessing it depends on the size of the party. We had 11 people last night and ordered off of the menu. If it's dozens of people, you're probably going to want a set menu.

Is the restaurant noisy on a Saturday night or easy to hear the people you're dining with?

Catherine, we do have seating in other dining areas that are removed from the lounge and music. We are happy to honor your request to be in a quieter space. The music does not begin until after 8:30. Thanks for the question. We hope you enjoy…

    - Broken Compass Tiki…read more My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Broken Compass Tiki. I originally found it on TikTok, followed up with a few YouTube videos, and knew I had to check it out the next time we were in Burbank. It completely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in Burbank, but we got lucky and found a street parking spot nearby. If you don't get as lucky, driving around the block or into the surrounding neighborhood should eventually turn something up. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, and there were already several people inside. By the time we left, the place was filling up quickly, so it's definitely a popular spot. I surprised my girlfriend by keeping the destination a secret and just telling her we were going somewhere fun with a unique theme. She loved it. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Both the bartender and our server were incredibly welcoming. Our server asked whether it was our first visit and took the time to ask what kinds of drinks we normally enjoy before making recommendations. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell us. Instead, he explained why he thought certain cocktails were better choices based on our preferences, and every recommendation ended up being spot on. As you'd expect from a tiki bar, the cocktail menu is heavily rum-focused, but there are also non-alcoholic drinks, a small beer selection, and wine available if rum isn't your thing. I ordered the Zombie Magic first, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. After that, I tried the 100 Year Cigar, a Scotch-based cocktail that was perfect for slowly sipping. Both drinks were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Painkiller and the Navy Grog, and she loved both of them. We started with the Shut It Polly wings, crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and they were outstanding. We also ordered the Aloha Dippers with the Cajun seasoning. I paired mine with the Chipotle Citrus Aioli, while my girlfriend chose the Firecracker sauce. Both dipping sauces were excellent and complemented the fries really well. For our entrées, I ordered the Pub Burger with Irish cheddar, onion strings, and horseradish aioli, cooked to order. It was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Roll, and we both enjoyed it. The only item that didn't quite meet our expectations was the macaroni salad that came with our meals. We've had some incredible macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants, and this one just didn't quite compare. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was the one part of the meal that didn't stand out. One thing that really impressed me was how accommodating the staff was regarding my raw fruit allergy. I explained what I could and couldn't safely eat or drink, and our server took it seriously. He made sure every cocktail recommendation was safe for me without sacrificing flavor or experience. That level of attention made me feel comfortable ordering drinks I otherwise might have avoided. The décor is also worth mentioning. The pirate-themed exterior transitions into a fun pirate-and-tiki atmosphere inside that really adds to the experience without feeling overdone. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. The drinks were strong and creative, the food was excellent, the service was some of the best we've had in a long time, and the atmosphere was a blast. There are still plenty of cocktails on the menu that I'd like to try, so we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Burbank.

This place really made you feel like Captain Jack Sparrow was going to jump out at every corner. It so themed for a tiki bar, but if pirates and mermaids had a place to hang out this would be that place. From the decor to the detailed bathroom sounds and the menu item names. You couldn't escape the theme anyway and I loved it! We were gathering for a friends birthday and there was 30 of us. Couldn't believe we found enough seats for us in the back area but we did. The staff was there to keep drinks flowing and keep food coming. The portion for their poke nachos was unreal. Do i wish they put a bit more poke on the dish? Yes. But it was still one of my favorite dishes of the night. The drinks were all so cute and they had ample non alcoholic mocktails as well which were yummy. If you want a speakeasy feel (you lieterally go through a secret door in the wall) and an under the sea eperience while ctching up with friends, you can totally do it here. For my friends birthday they rang some bell and all sang happy birthday to her which was so cool. Why was the bathroom the coolest part? They literally have ocean sounds and seaguls for you to hear while using the restroom. Theres even a fan in the bathroom to make you feel like you're next to the ocean because I kept fighting that darn toilet seat cover to stay put. Such a fun night and will be back for the vibes. Special s/o to Amanda and all her crew the night we were there. They helped out with photos, drinks, and keeping food going all night. She had such a great team with her that night. Everyone was helping us out even finding us chairs and clearing tables so we could make room for more food.

I explained that I just wanted to watch a game and be out of the way and they could not have been kinder through my whole time there! Daniela was my server and she was so kind! Best service and I didn't even order food. The second experience I had was going pretty well! My boyfriend and I took a friend who had just put down one of her dogs. She took her other dog with her since he has never been left without the other dog. :( we were really hoping to cheer her up with an outing. It was unfortunately super hot outside and so we asked the server if we'd be able to sit inside with the dog. No problem! The dog was in a stroller and we took a table right by the patio door. We really enjoyed our drinks and food and talking to each other. Our server, Kailey, made sure we had water and drink refills as needed. We had been there over 2 hours at this point, watching a World Cup came that had about 10 minutes left, when someone came up to us, I'm assuming a manager, but she never introduced herself to us, and told us the dog needed to either be on the floor or in the stroller (he was in our friends lap at this point) and then told us the stroller was a fire hazard unless it was on the other side of the table. We were very receptive, no problem, but very confused why this would come up after we had been sitting there for over 2 hours. This employee disappeared after that and we didn't see her again! It was just bizarre. Anyway- the servers were friendly and the other people there watching the game were fun. I loved the carnitas nachos and the Baja seltzer! I just was very confused by this "manager" coming up after 2 hours of us being there (she had seen us there at least 30-40 minutes before approaching us). Up front it wouldn't have been confusing! We're happy to follow rules and such and the dog was fine in his stroller. It just put a bad taste in our mouth, especially when there were only about 10 minutes left in the game we were watching. Felt a little too late to approach us? I wouldn't let this hinder my coming back. All the servers I've had were so great, I just don't know why a manager type would wait so long to present a customer with where a stroller can and can't be. We had made sure to ask up front about it, too and there were no issues! For those reading- check this place out! Fun to casually watch a game of some kind and get a drink and appetizer. The servers are amazing!

The servers brought out water dishes and treats on a silver tray for the dogs- true service! I missed happy hour, but tried a themed cocktail, the onion rings, and the truffle burger. It was all great! My friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food and our server was great. It seemed like a lot of regulars were there, which helped contribute to the overall good vibes. Dog friendly- YES! We loved it!

That says a lot about the staff. Our server, she was a young lady, was on top of everything and really made our time here enjoyable. I came here for happy hour on a Tuesday was surprised to find out they do $2 tacos and $5 margaritas. Let me tell you, the tacos are delicious and the margaritas are STRONG. It's a hell of a good time. I really enjoyed the chicken taco and carne asada taco. The meats were juicy and very flavorful. I also ordered their nachos, chili cheese fries and bread pudding. The nachos were made perfectly with the chips being thin and crispy. They used a couple different cheeses and the jalapeños were a nice touch. Definitely ordering it again, I can do without the chili cheese fries. It was good but it wasn't amazing. Their bread pudding was HUGE and I can see why it's one of the popular items here. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and gooey in the inside. Morrisons is definitely a fun place to be. Perfect to enjoy happy hour, catch the games on, and hang out friends. They have plenty of seating inside and outdoor with heat lamps. They are dog and kid friendly as well
