Came back to my favorite place near me and they have a limited time offer of wine pairing with each course and so glad we decided to try that. All the wines were amazing and the food was delicious as always. Definitely recommend the special menu. Be warned tho because you will have 5 classes of wine and will give you a buzz so be careful.

If I disappear, check my booth at Capital Grille. The crab cake has become one of the more stable relationships in my life. Five stars.

I have been to the Paramus location couple of times already and was getting the same Filet Mignon, this time being a new spot I changed it up and went with the Lamb Rip Chops. I think I found my new favorite item to get now on. The lamb was delicious and very filling after two chops. It does have a bit of salt on the crust seasoning, but overall it was acceptable.

Came by for "capital hours" and sat at the bar in the lounge area. Comfortable seating with a few tvs and cheery music playing. Service was a little sketchy at first but definitely picked up thanks to the gentleman behind the bar. I had the cast iron garlic shrimp (delicious and star of the show) and the sliced dry aged ny strip (good). Now the second star of the show was the peach bourbon smash. Those cocktails were delicious yet strong and well balanced. Kudos to the bartender.

The first time I came to a Capital Grille was around 2010 and distinctly remember the sides were probably my favorite part, though I did not try the steak at that time. The sides are still amazing. Really creamy but solid mash potatoes. The creamed spinach here is always one of my favorite creamed spinaches ever. The steak was perfect! Medium rare just excellently done - the right amount of texture, tenderness, flavor, not too oily. The mashed potatoes were rich and soft. I would love to come again.

I've celebrated many milestones at The Capital Grille in FiDi over the years--from Thanksgiving dinners to career promotions--and it continues to be one of my most reliable choices for special occasions in Lower Manhattan. The setting alone makes it memorable. Housed in a former bank near Wall Street, the space feels classic and refined, with an especially impressive original bank vault downstairs that's now used for private dining. It's a great backdrop for business dinners, celebrations, or any evening when you want something elevated but comfortable. Service is consistently excellent. The staff is polished, attentive, and genuinely focused on making the experience feel special, without ever being overbearing. You really get the sense that they take pride in maintaining a high standard across the board. The food rarely disappoints. The steaks--especially the bone-in Kona crusted dry-aged NY strip and the ribeye--are standouts and typically cooked perfectly. The seafood and sides are just as strong: lobster mac and cheese, lobster bisque, pan-fried calamari, and truffle arancini are all worth ordering. Save room for dessert, as the flourless chocolate espresso cake and the cheesecake are excellent finishes to the meal. Portions are generous, which helps justify the splurge pricing. It's also worth noting that they've recently introduced new happy hour options, which is a welcome addition and makes it easier to enjoy the space without committing to a full dinner. While the dining room can get loud when it's packed, especially during the workweek, the overall experience remains top-tier. Reservations are strongly recommended due to its popularity with the business crowd. All in all, The Capital Grille FiDi delivers consistency, quality, and a sense of occasion--exactly what you want for celebrations and important nights out.

We decided to have last minute dinner at Capital Grille on Friday. After a spa day I really wanted some of their delicious Sea Bass. My niece was here from Florida and so she wanted good food. I also utilize Capital grille for meetings with my company. However, this was a different experience. I felt like the waiters were coming by too much, taking our plates or asking when we weren't done. It felt really rushed. I've never experienced that before. Also the chicken dish was very disappointing. It was actually sub par for capital grille and the price. They should really consider revamping that dish. In any case I won't give up on capital grille but I may take a temp leave and look for other options in the area. We did have birthdays and they were very accommodating to that which was nice.

Popped in for a quick drink after work and had the waygu and wine burger special. Got the mushroom and Swiss burger it was surprisingly neat, as the Swiss was melted over the mushrooms, preventing a messy bite. It was cooked to perfection, very flavorful and well balanced. The fries, I should've eaten while hot as they lost their luster, nonetheless still a grade above generic. I'd revisit.

I came here for a private event and this place was very attentive to their customers and everything was pretty great. Our meal consisted of a 3 course meal and I had their salad, seared salmon, and flourless chocolate espresso cake. There were some shareable items as well including creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The salad was very disappointing and confusing to be honest. There was no dressing and so I felt much like a horse grazing on the field. Perhaps they are very light on the dressing or had forgotten it because it seems everyone else at my table had the same thoughts and experience. The salmon and other dishes did make up for it however. The salmon was perfectly medium rare and retained its juiciness. Moving on to dessert, while it was tasty, it was too sweet for my preference and so I wasn't able to finish it as it was just so rich. For my first time at this chain, I had a pretty good time, but I would likely be more picky with my choices if I do return.

Walked in with no reservation for my mom's birthday and we were seated within minutes. The table was decorated with happy birthday confetti and a card was present with signatures from the staff. Our waiter was kind and helpful. The food was delicious and they even treated my mom to dessert. It was a great dinner overall.

This was a special occasion. It happened to be my birthday. This establishment is in lower Manhattan and at night its better than in the day but both sights are amazing. This place has a old bank vault inside and it's ambiance is nice . It's dimly lit just right for a romantic night out or a good time among friends. We had the clams they were fresh and tasty. The food was great and this restaurant was made to impress.

I'm from Boston and love both of the Boston-area Capital Grille's (one just outside the city, and one in the city). It's one of those steakhouse & seafood chains that's consistently very good. But this was my first visit to the financial district (*down*town) location in NYC. First things first, this is a really cool location. The place is spectacularly decorated--be sure to check out the carved (I think) eagle above the bar--in a historic building. A local told me they had a fire a few years back, but they restored it to its former glory, and then some. I was on a business trip for this visit, and chose a seat at the bar as I often do. It's a great bar! Very comfortable and spacious, and the bar tenders are awesome, as they always are at any Capital Grille I've visited. They know how to hire, and train, their staff so that the service is consistently great. I had oysters to start, and--also based on a local recommendation--the bar burger. I chose the Swiss and Mushroom version, medium rare. It was perfectly prepared and delicious! And just right for me this night given I was not hungry enough for a full entree. There are so many GREAT choices in NYC, but The Capital Grille is a great choice when you're in the mood for a consistently good chain / no guess work. P.S. This location was hopping!! (on a Tuesday night), which is awesome when your dining alone on a biz trip.

This location is just as consistent with others in NYC. East coast oysters are a good starter and the dry aged bone in sirloin with Kona rub is still a great cut here.

I am SO glad we did. The vibe drew us in, they had great music bumpin from the outside, it looked lively and welcoming. Let me tell you- I would have skipped dinner and just stayed here all evening if it was my choice! But alas, my husband wanted a bit more to eat. But let me tell you- their knowledge of wine is PRISTINE! I can't tell you what white wine we had but they captured our tastes perfectly. We also shared a bruschetta and it was deliciouso! First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!

Thank you to my lovely friend who spent who knows how long trying to get a reservation here. Chilled celtuce (4/5): is it a combination of celery and lettuce? idk but it kinda reminded me of radish, with a clean/slightly bland flavor but it had this hydrating quality to it and a nice crunch. Sesame shao bing (5/5): a literal drug in the most innocuous and tasty form of flatbread. It has the crispiest flake on the outside with a perfectly chewy doughiness to it and a literal slab of butter inside, which melts in real time (careful not to go too ham and let it dribble down your arms and get all over your clothes...because it's just THAT good). Sweet & sour short rib (4/5): the cook on these short ribs were super tender, I just think the marinade was very strong, with a particularly vinegary aroma. Eight treasure rice pudding with sticky toffee (4/5): she's a 4 only because I don't like toffee, but the rice pudding was hands down heavenly. Service was solid, and they have a chic, dim ambience for the tables inside whereas the outdoor seating sits underneath the lanterns and soaks up the streets of Chinatown, so each have a merit of its own.

Walked in at 8pm on a Wednesday and was able to sit right away for a limited time (1.5hrs), which was plenty for us. It's small, as most places in NYC are, and dark & intimate. They also have shared tables, so we sat with another couple. Huge wine selection. Everything we ate was delicious. To me, the Celtuce is more of a novelty - cool, yummy, fresh but small. The crudo was the same thing. So in my opinion, I don't think it's worth the money. The noodles were so good we got 2 orders of it - you cannot skip!! The dessert was also unlike anything I've had before. If you love sticky rice and caramel/toffee, you have to try it. Overall, I do think it was very expensive but the ambiance + some of the dishes were well worth it. I'd definitely come back.
