The space is very comfortable and open. The service was attentive and it should be since I was the only one in the place. First thing to come out as a First thing to come out as a gigantic ball of warm onion bread, which was tasty. Unfortunately, my ribeye although cooked perfectly was very tough and chewy. It could've been just the particular cut or it was frozen not aged . The asparagus was good and the wine wasn't bad. For the money, they are much better steakhouses in the area.

The Wall Street scene has its share of steak houses being the prime location of pinnacle business deals and commerce transactions. One can smell the rich leather banqueted booths with wafts of cigar smoke plumes and the clink of martini glasses of years past as the latest business deals were properly celebrated in suit and tie. Morton's has fit the bill since 1978 at this locale enhancing the distinguished atmosphere to many celebratory closing deals of late. Let's 'Cheers' to that!

Morton's the Steakhouse delivers exactly what you'd expect from a classic, upscale steakhouse--and most of the time, it does it exceptionally well. It's a premium chain founded in 1978 and now has 65 locations worldwide. I've visited Morton's in several cities, from San Juan to Boston, and the World Trade Center location is one of the finest. At Morton's, the steaks are the main event, and they're consistently impressive. The Cajun ribeye has the perfect kick, and the Wagyu options are melt-in-your-mouth good. Their signature touches go a long way too: the warm onion bread they bring to the table is addictive. Other favorites of mine include the wedge salad, lobster bisque, and their ultra-comforting au gratin potatoes. One thing worth mentioning is their great happy hour. It's a surprisingly solid value for a steakhouse of this caliber, with well-priced bites (the Smash Burger is outstanding) and drinks that make it easy to enjoy the Morton's experience without committing to a full fine-dining meal. Service is another standout. The staff are attentive, polished, and genuinely friendly. They're also great with celebrations--birthdays, anniversaries, you name it--adding small gestures that make the night feel special. The ambiance fits the traditional steakhouse style: dim lighting, cozy booths, and a polished, old-fashioned vibe that works just as well for business dinners as for family meals. At its best, Morton's delivers a memorable meal with great service, great happy hour offerings, and all the nostalgic steakhouse charm you could want.

The definition of a high end steakhouse. The service was amazing. A perfect balance between quick enough when we needed to make a show, and never rushing us. We started with French onion soup and a wedge salad. Both were great and we shared both. The wedge salad was the most delicious, large, and loaded wedge we had ever had. I wish I took a photo. They also start you with a giant, hot, onion loaf. It was the freshest and most delicious bread. I wish I would've eaten more. For our entree, we shared a tomahawk which was perfectly cooked and seasoned perfectly! The sides were the BEST! We had au gratin potatoes and creamed corn. The sizes were huge for 2 people and we didn't finish them, but absolutely recommend! The creamed corn was unique and not something I've had before! We made a reservation and went early. I would not attempt to come here without one! By the time we left, it was packed!

First of all , the hostess was our server and was a pure delight ( Betsy) service and suggestions on cocktails and food was spot on . Food was excellent and cocktails as well, ambiance was very romantic too . We took advantage of the Mother's Day special ( $79.00) and it was lovely . 5 stars all around !

Morton's is consistently good no matter the location. The financial district location in NYC (attached to the Club Quarters Hotel) is no exception. And, when you're a weary business traveler looking for something super easy and convenient, it's hard to beat "right off the lobby of my hotel" I was exhausted after a full work day plus travel to the city... I checked into my hotel and just wanted something easy, but good. When I saw there was a Morton's attached to my hotel, that sealed the deal. I didn't even have to wear a coat of go outside to visit I had 6 oysters to start. They were perfectly chilled and briny! Awesome. Then I had the smallest stake I could order - an 8 oz filet mignon. Just what I needed (I wasn't super hungry). Like all Morton's, this one is comfortable and nicely decorated. Thank you for being so convenient to my hotel, Morton's!

The food was delicious and was supposed to make up for the Brooklyn chop house steak I bought while at work. The food was delicious. Only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 was because they gave me 3 shrimps to top my mignon. I recommend it.

Great food and customer service definitely would return for another lunch outing. I don't remember the servers name but great professional

Yes, it's a chain. Yes, it's in a tourist trafficked area. Yes, it's pricey. And: yes. Morton's does an excellent steak. I booked an early birthday dinner for myself on a Saturday evening. Being in the Financial District on a Saturday, I wasn't entirely surprised to see a lack of crowds, though I was the only diner on the first floor. My steakhouse order doesn't change much: shrimp cocktail + steak + mushrooms + whiskey drink. The shrimp cocktail here had some of the largest shrimp I've seen, served with some properly zippy cocktail sauce. While ribeye is my go to cut, I went with a dry aged strip instead. It was done a perfect medium rare but a little too charred on the edges. The accompanying side of spinach and mushrooms added a nice flavour contrast but was in need of some other seasoning. And the whiskey drink? A fine Manhattan with Woodford Reserve + sweet vermouth + cherries + orange peel + ...steak. It may seem gimmicky to garnish a cocktail with a small piece of prime beef, but it works.

It's hard to go wrong with a steakhouse but wow it was pretty bad. Even asking for a1 sauce took about 12 minutes. The steak was bland the spinach was bland. Both needed loads of salt and a1, which took forever to get. The lobster bisque was good and so was the ceaser salad. Their raw bar is also pretty good. Service was a c minus at best. The decor needs an update. The lighting fixtures creeped me out. The steak wasn't grilled and the bread was stale.

Ribeye was delicious. Lamb was gamey. Drinks were outstanding! Service lacked at first with a ong wait late at night on a Friday, but the Hostess Joanne took our orders and Corey are server was fantastic. They stepped up their game big time. It is not their fault the location is is inside a hotel. Yes you get lost looking for the bathroom. Corey hugged me after my birthday creme brulee! Who does that! I loved my birthday celebration here and shall return.

Horribly disorganized for the private party. Drink orders taking over 30 minutes. Served wrong dishes and missed some people who are left waiting when others completed their meals. Don't understand how a top restaurant can foul up so badly.

When you think of places out-of-towners would frequent, what name comes to mind? To me, Ruth's Chris and Benihana's fit the bill. Honestly, one we frequented before has been Capital Grille. We stopped into this Morton's Steakhouse location about two blocks South of the World Trade Center, tucked between two hotels, and across the street from the future site of 5 World Trade Center. We had a mid week lunch late in the day, so it wasn't too busy. The decor I would categorize as 1980's bar lounge. Black with art decoish embellishments. We sat at a table harking to booths you would find common in 1980's establishments. A place Mike Pence would find comfort in, should he decide to campaign in The Big Apple. The food was good. Our server brought us a warm fluffy loaf of bread, dotted with browned onions. I liked the butter that spread effortlessly. I had the filet mignon, very tender and nicely seasoned. My wife had the pork chop. The photo does not do it justice, as it is humongous. I loved the taste I got from it. Cuts like buttah. We were there for Restaurant Week, but were surprised that the daily lunch special nearly matched the Restarant Week deal. King of the Road played in the dining room, along with tunes by Sammy Davis, Jr, and Frank Sinatra. Norah Jones' Cheatin' Heart fit the playlist, too. Okay, back to the future.

Great food and service. I thought Mortons would be super expensive but is actually very reasonable. Great quality straks.

I've been coming here for years, and the quality of the food continues to keep me coming back. During this visit, I ran into a recurring issue with my lobster. It was carrying a large amount of roe, which I was actually happy about because I enjoy it and didn't want any of it to go to waste. However, the roe deep inside wasn't fully cooked during the initial steaming process. I had to go back and forth with Ash and the kitchen staff several times, but they remained patient, attentive, and committed to making sure everything was cooked properly. Ash, one of the managers, provided excellent customer service throughout the experience. While I was waiting, he kindly offered me a complimentary cup of New England clam chowder, which was absolutely delicious and very much appreciated since I was starving. Before leaving, I also ordered two more 2 lb. steamed lobsters to go. I explained my concern, and the staff made sure they were thoroughly cooked before packaging them. Both were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. I truly appreciate the team's dedication to customer satisfaction and their willingness to make things right.
