I placed a order 12/14/21 I was told one item wasn't available until 1/28/22 and I thought ok I didn't need items until February. So when I didn't hear from them I reached out on 2/1/22 I asked them the status of order. Jessica emailed me 'It looks like this order is currently pending fulfillment due to one of the parts being on backorder. Part #67WD55 is currently on backorder & we currently do not have an eta as to when this will be back in stock. If you would like us to ship what we have in stock & put the remainder on backorder, please let me know. Please be advised that shipping partial is 2 separate freight charges. I have dealt with The Carey Company for a few years now with terrible support but I'm taking my business elsewhere. Aside from the fact you can NEVER get through to anyone on the phone and messages are returned several days later, their last screw up was inexcusable. I ordered a product that I have bought in the past so a repeat order. This time, the wrong size shows up. I call them eventually get to speak to a moron who tries to explain the size I ordered actually comes in a different size. I explain, this isn't my first order, and the last ones sent to me were the right size. I sent them pictures with digital calipers showing the new items were 4mm wider and thus a completely different size. They try to pull some Chewbaca defense nonsense saying that the item fits a smaller size additional product (like I care), so that's why they sent me that instead of what I ordered, like that will somehow make sense. They just couldn't admit that they custom made the wrong size item during production and rather than replace the $150 order with the correct product that I ordered before, they probably spent twice that in man hours arguing complete nonsense, only for me to do a chargeback with my credit card company. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Our company was in desperate need of supplies for our business. After shopping around we found that the Cary Company had the best pricing. Since the item comes from China I was concerned that the item might not be in stock and we didn't have time to wait. I chatted with them and they assured me it was in stock here in the USA. So i placed the order, got the confirmation e-mail and tracking. 3 days later i get another email saying the item is back ordered. So i called & they assured me that the item was at their other warehouse here in the states and would be transferred to the closer warehouse in another 4 days. I call back on the 4th day later when it's suppose to be being shipped to me. They inform me that the item is out of stock and will be coming from china and will be in stock in 3 weeks & that's not to mention the addition week to ship to me! Now we are out almost a month and 1/2. So i could have ordered from China myself and it would have been cheaper and faster than that. Now our company is losing hundreds of dollars a day. If they had just been honest up front we could have made a decision for this order and then placed future orders with Cary CO. NEVER will we order from them again. They were dishonest with our company and left us in a lurch, which can devastate a small company like ours. I would HIGHLY recommend if you need something on a time frame. They just don't care. In retrospect, I wish I went on Yelp before I wasted weeks of emails back and forth...as I see others negative experiences here also. I instead went to BBB and looked at that "Started in 18-- whatever date." and I thought, "Maybe going with quality will pay off in the end even if they cost more." I chose to spend my time exploring using this company because of their years of business and them being in the USA. I am so disappointed in this company and I am off to look for another to put my bottle project into production again. After wasting so much time on them, they apparently were not at all interested in my business as they led me to saying this in one of my last communications to them, "Please send details and prices. I need prices and I need answers", and, "Can I kindly ask for you to please take more of the lead here in informing me about your products and processes because I am feeling like I am having to guide this process more than I feel I am able to do." Part of the answer I received back was: "I'd be more than happy to take the lead and inform you... I just need to know your questions." OK, that is a ridiculous answer. I was SO specific about my project and questions this whole time and where I was not, I admitted I needed their help to understand their processes. When my customers ask questions, I do NOT expect them to have to know what to ask because they are not the professionals in my line of work. I give them lay answers in a clear-to-understand manner. Maybe I was small fry to them (though we could have given them steady thousands as our need is ongoing) and so they just tried to be as annoying and unprofessional as possible to me in order to send me away. It worked, guys! Beware all companies, small AND big. The company who treats you well only if you will spend millions with them is the sign of a bad company. I urge all major companies to give their business to companies of integrity instead. And if you are a small to medium business, stay away. They just DON'T care. read more

So glad I didn't end up ordering from this terrible company, and I'd give zero stars if I could. They don't know the meaning of customer service, nor how to treat a brand new potential customer. On Saturday I needed to place an order for a not-for-profit organization. Unfortunately The Cary Company's management in their infinite wisdom introduced a $100 minimum order. That's ok, right, since my ~$75 order came to $107 with shipping and handling? Nope! They want the minimum to be $100 BEFORE S&H! That's ok, I'll order a few more items to get to $100, even though we REALLY don't need them for the project. NOPE! You can only order in quantities of 40, i.e. an entire case, and THAT wasn't going to work, either. And no other items were needed. So on Saturday, I online chatted with a very nice guy who suggested I call on Monday, and that they'd be able to make an exception and place my order. Well, the rep "Alessandra" didn't want to make any exceptions, and when asked to escalate it, neither did her supervisor, Heather. In fact, they thought they found a helpful way of CHARGING ME MORE FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF PRODUCT to meet the $100 minimum order, AND then also denying my request to credit me back against the shipping since they were, well, double dipping. After speaking Alessandra's boss, Heather, AND Heather's boss, the "Quality Assurance Supervisor", Christine, I basically gave up. There's only so many times over a 42 minute long call I can listen to "company policy" and hear a company tell me they simply don't want my business in no uncertain terms. This would have been my first order with The Cary Company, and instead, I will NEVER do business with them, and neither should you if you value a company that cares about customer service. Funny part is, they said they instituted the $100 minimum order because lower priced orders cost them too much to fulfill -- and in this case it cost them WAY MORE to *NOT* FULFILL a $100 order because of the time they wasted telling me why they wouldn't do it. Had they just acquiesced they would have my money and I would have the product I needed. What a horrible experience. Each employee I spoke with sounded bothered that I wanted to place an order (how dare I!) and had zero empathy for a first time buyer of their products and the inconvenience of the $100 minimum -- AND didn't care that it was for a not-for-profit organization with limited budget. All they -- and their management's policy -- did was alienate me for life. Nice job, Management, Alessandra, Heather, and Christine. (Compare this to Container and Packaging, which has exactly the same products, no minimum, and could not have been nicer in answering my questions and accommodating. Thank you to THEM for getting the job done when The Cary Company would NOT, and I look forward to receiving the products from them and instead being THEIR loyal customer for many years to come!) read more

I made an order for some jars and a shrink gun, but then customer service sent me an email telling me that they were out of stock for 2 of the products I ordered. They then told me that my products would not come in until a month later. I asked, if I have to wait over a month for my products if I could get free shipping for the inconvenience and they told me they don't do discounts on shipping. The worst customer service in the history of shipping supplies! Ordered on Tuesday, received notice that my items would ship on Wednesday. Well that did not happen. They shipped a day late and shorted the order. By the time I received my supplies on Friday it was too late to call them. Called them first thing Monday morning to resolve the missing items. No resolution or even followup call back by the following afternoon. I realized by Wednesday that they were not going to resolve the issue so I requested a return. Items were returned via UPS and I did not receive a refund. I ended up having to file a charge-back with my credit card. Fast forward a month later, and I am not receiving invoices from Cary for the returned order that they screwed up! I have contacted customer service but they are not responding. Our Company has been asking for specific chemicals and they take forever. they give us the shipping number, and then wait two weeks to ship, and they finally charged us. Well it did, but this time somehow my order got lost and they had to find it. Someone called to fix it said to order through phone call, we did that, was told our package was being delivered the next day, did not receive an email of proof called back Monday only for them to say there was not enough room on the truck, I am running a business here and waiting so long on merchandise kills my sales. What can I say that hasn't already been said...guess I should have researched this company on Yelp before placing any trust in them for our business packaging needs. As others have said - BUYER BEWARE - and know what you're getting into before you do business with these guys. We placed a business order for several thousand packaging items (bottles, sprayers, caps, etc.) from this company and have had nothing but issues from day 1. Bottles leaking, sprayers breaking, delivery problems and returns, etc. It's been a nightmare from the beginning - but, as the others have said, the price was right. Well - I guess the old say "you get what you pay for" couldn't be more true here. After a barrage of customer complaints on our packaging, it finally got to the point that we called The Cary Company to advise them of the issue (potentially saving others from the same situation) and return these products and replace with a different style (which we were willing to pay for). To my surprise - they refused to do ANYTHING about it and actually blamed this on us for not inspecting every item from our 7000+ unit shipments in advance. This kind of service in this day and age amazes me - but I guess that's why they have 2 stars here...not sure where the 2nd one came from to be honest. I've already made a few calls to their competitors to help me resolve the situation this company put me in and already a HUGE difference just in the tone from their CS staff. We placed a order because the company we usually order was out of stock. Cary company prices are higher than who we usually order through, they did not have the items in stock. When we called to see when we would get them they didnt care. Said the date for shipping was a estimated date. They sent us a email letting us know they where out of stock and for a additional fee they can send it faster. What a joke, will not be ordering from this company again. We were building a large industrial autoclave for our commercial mushroom business. We needed 55 gallon steel drums that we could trust to handle 15 psi constantly. Our final decision was based on the fact that this companies drums are rated for 200 kPa (about 29 psi) while most companies are only rated for 150 kPa (about 21 psi). Seemed like most drums would probably work, but pressurizing things is extremely dangerous so we decided to go with the Cary Company. We payed almost $200 in shipping to have UPS ship the drums and all the Cary Company did was wrap them in a thin layer of plastic. When they arrived one of the drums was badly dented to the point that the lining was compromised and we were told by the manufacturer that the drum would no longer hold up to the pressure. They said they would send us another one if we payed for it all over again and file a claim with UPS to which we told them no. Finally after hours and hours of time on the phone with the Cary Company and UPS they all pretty much told us to shove it. I will never deal with this company again and I highly recommend that you on't either. read more

Bad experience. Product ordered does not deliver the same looks. Return, but given only UPS Account number. UPS store does not accept their account number and charge on my own credit card. I gave them receipt and asked them to call UPS to straight it out. They never call and continue saying that UPS should accept and charge on their count. After 4 months of request return and asking for reimbursement of return charge. They paid back the product charge, but did not pay for all the return charge. read more

We started working with Cary when we started bottling in HDPE Plastic bottles. At first I thought my issues were user due to their ordering system changing but now I realize that they are incompetent at best or actually trying to screw over their customers at worst. Today I was told that an tentative order that I placed early in July that was never confirmed because it was back ordered is shipping or I have to pay a restocking fee. They want me to prove that I cancelled the order but I never received a confirmation for it. If you love extortion try Cary Company but if you want to order from an honest company I would look elsewhere. read more

Prior to buying from the Cary company, I was looking for some drum heaters to liquify an item. I researched different means to solve my problem and actually went out and bought a blanket type of material. That blanket unfortunately did not work as I had anticipated, which led me to the Cary company. Prior to buying from the site, I got into a chat with a rep and asked him/ her what their process/ procedures were for returns. The rep told me that I would just need to reach out to customer service and get a return slip; keep in mind, I engaged in the chat because I was unsure the item I was planning on purchasing would work Which was why I intentionally asked what the policy on returns was. Fast forward to buying and trying to return, the rep who I spoke to told me that there would be a restocking fee of roughly $60. I explained to her that during my chat, I was NEVER informed that there was going to be a return fee. I explained to the rep that this information was never relayed to me but her response lacked empathy. Thank you Cary company. You don't ever have to worry about me and my company buying from you again. To all potential buyers who read this, get all facts regarding purchases made in writing before purchasing. Hands-down worst customer experience nightmare I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing in my life. After a $160 ($110 in merchandise and $50 in shipping) order failed to show up, I tried to reorder the missing package online three times only to have the order fail to go through due to an "address mismatch" for my card on their website, which is impossible considering I used that same card to place another order less than a week before that. I decided to check my bank account and sure enough the order DID go through...THREE TIMES. I had to call my bank to get them to wipe the charges from my account (luckily I bank with a small-town bank and they could pull some strings other big banks probably couldn't). At this point out of pure frustration, I just called Cary and made an order over the phone for pick-up. The order for pick-up was supposed to be "taken care of" monetarily since my first package never arrived. Fast forward to a few days later and it turns out that was NOT true as I had a customer service rep call me saying that they needed ANOTHER payment. I was floored. In an effort to just make this whole thing go away, I just paid it (you never want to talk to anyone in accounting by the way unless you literally want to be threatened.) So now, I've paid over $350 for an order that was only supposed to cost $100. Infuriated. Insulted. Shocked. Just a few things I felt during this whole process. I've literally shed tears over how stressful all this was. How hard is it to deliver an order and provide good customer service? Please, please, please don't order from here. BIGGEST HEADACHE EVER!!!! I made an order online. After placing my order I received an email stating part of my order wasn't in stock, but would be there the following week. After several emails back and forth i got no more replies and then someone else emailed me. The stock that was coming in wouldn't be there for a few more weeks I was told. I called in and spoke with a gentleman that said he believed the stock had just came in that day on a truck, he took my number and said he would cal back once he found out for sure. A week later with no call or emails I called back and was told the order had shipped and should be here today. Im holding my breath to say the least. Order placed April 12th now May 16th.
