I was roaming in the downtown, on a weekday, with no intent to eat, during lunch hours. Then I noticed the lunch special menu. 3 course for $20. So I went for 2. Salmon with Yukon potato and chicken piccata were my entrees. I loved both. May be Iiked salmon a bit more. I also went for a soup and a walnut salad. Those were also nice. I finished lunch with a scoop of chocolate and coffee ice cream each.

So I went there on a Wednesday at around 1 pm . It was a perfect place for some office colleagues to hang out and have a nice lunch . We chose the outdoor seating which was very nice . We parked our cars right across the street in public parking. It was a short 2 min walk from the parking . Our server was very helpful, she helped us in choosing the right dish for us and food was served very fast . I ordered a chicken Piccata and the sauce was awesome. I also ordered a Prosecco and really liked it as well . I absolutely recommend this place .

Cask isn't your snooty wine bar. It really is a classy, welcoming spot for a nice quiet conversation where you won't be embarrassed to take anyone, whether a date, friend or even colleagues you may not know too well. The atmosphere doesn't come across cheap, but the wine prices and the food are very reasonable. It's not vernacular and you can mark an occasion, but again, it's so approachable in downtown San Carlos. At first glance, you may wonder if it is a wine bar or a restaurant. And yes, given you are in San Carlos residential area, you cannot go for the high-end premium luxury wine bar experience. But also, if you go too low, you can't call yourself a wine bar. And this is what Cask does so well. You aren't pressured to dress up, but you'll also fit right in if you've gone all out. Wine selection is a bit small and I wouldn't say they have opted for the truly expensive wines. They have good coverage but I would've loved to have seen more Italian, French and other wines. The mark up wasn't too bad but again, when I'm out at a wine bar, I'd like to be a bit more adventurous and try things out. Each glass were healthy portions and I genuinely enjoyed my Pinots with the cheese plate as well as the flatbread. Cask is an essential constituent for Laurel St. Without it, I don't know where a few adults can go for a quiet conversation, somewhat dressed up. It is absolutely fine the way it is and I'd frequent the place. I would also encourage the owner to start going a bit upscale into the next grade of wines (ie. Silver Oak Napa or Caymus, etc.)

The website has an elaborate dinner menu but for some reason they had a very small menu when we went. More than $20 for a very bland burger. The wine, however, was quite good and the ambiance was nice.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon with a group of friends. We sat outdoors since it was a pleasant day. The ambience is very nice. We got some wine flights and bruschetta and a vegetarian flatbread. The food was good but overpriced. The wine was good but not great enough to go back.

"The Cask" is truly a gem! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was delightful. I had the fettuccine--though the exact name escapes me--and it was delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I finished with a tiramisu for dessert--light, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending. I'll definitely be back!

This was our third or fourth visit to Cask over the years. It's become a tradition to have dinner here before going to see the holiday lights on Eucalyptus Street. We always enjoy the heater outdoor patio and the service is fantastic. Tonight we enjoyed the Cask's Mixed Green salad with/ dried cranberries, candied walnuts, carrots and house-made red wine vinaigrette, the Green Apple and Prosciutto Flat Bread w/Fig spread, brie cheese, fresh basil and a couple pasta dishes; Rigatoni Salsiccia (pasta tossed with Italian sausage, fresh herbs, roasted bell pepper light cream marinara sauce and parmesan cheese) and Gnocchi Carciofi (potato pasta tossed with artichoke hearts, grilled chicken breast, fresh tomato and basil pesto light cream sauce) Finished with the Apple Tart and Chocolate Lava Cake. Delicious meal. It looks like this will continue to be our annual tradition.

Good food and service. I liked the mustard chicken, and thought the cheese plate was pretty good. Pleasantly generous portions - both for the food and wine flights. We sat outside where they had 4 TVs showing the Copa America games - relaxed vibes.

I came here for some wine and apps with my girlfriends and it was really enjoyable! The service was great, very attentive and constantly refilled our waters and wine glasses. The calamari was the stand out appetizer in my opinion, very fresh and really good addition with the fried peppercinis. We sat in the patio

There was ample free street parking one block to the South on South Delaware. We liked the restaurant because they are dog friendly. They have outdoor seating. The servers were great and brought water for our dog. The food was good. It was served quickly and was still hot. We ordered a kale salad ($17), the chicken souvlaki ($16) and a seafood paella ($39). We found the flavors to be good, but the chicken was incredibly dry. The paella was good. When we order paella, our favorite part is the crusty, flavorful part that is burned into the pan. Unfortunately, the paella at Bahche is served in a different pan than where it was cooked, so the crusty part is missing. The advantage for them to do it this way is that they can cook it in large batches and serve it quickly when ordered. Although we did kind of miss that component of the meal, we liked that they had both chicken and salmon in the paella, making it more substantial. They must have done a shift change when we were there. Some restaurants will introduce the new server, but we did not experience that during our visit. After we finished our meal, we had to wait awhile before our server appeared. It seemed unusual because the restaurant did not seem very busy at the time. It might have been because we were seated outside rather than in the dining room. Overall, we found Bahche to be a nice place for casual dining, especially if you have a dog.

The outdoor seating was actually quite nice and we ended up staying outside for quite a long time which was perfect because we had the whole area by ourselves. We ordered the fava bean and broccoli appetizer which was great, but in hindsight will definitely order the burrata because who can go wrong with burrata. For entrees, we had the veg pizza and the margherita. Both were excellent with their thin crust and toppings which were not overpowering. I will say eat them as quickly as possible because them hot and fresh from the oven are just incredible. I couldn't stop eating even when I was extremely full. I have been to Terun in PA a few times too, so was curious to try. The space is rather small inside and we didn't have a reservation so we were seated outside which for placement, was fine. But unfortunately I think our waiter had both tables inside and outside, so there were times unfortunately we were having to flag someone down. Unfortunately I don't have photos of everything we ordered. But the two important ones, I managed to include. They have a steak on the menu which was DIVINE. Pricey, but I was treating myself since I was excited to be eating out after being home (recovering from surgery). It was cooked perfectly tender and so flavorful. The other item is the dessert! I am not normally a dessert person, but my friend is-- and I think we asked for a recommendation and we got their pistachio cake. It was also AMAZING! I highly recommend. While this is an Italian restaurant, we didn't order the typical Italian food, not by choice-- just ended up that way. I will say though, everyone's dishes looked so amazing. I definitely want to go back to try more items on the menu.
