This was my 2nd visit with my granddaughter who loved the go carts again. Safe, fun and exciting driving for a 8 year old. We also drove in the larger race carts and Nick ran the race course with professionalism, safety and great customer service. I have never been to Chester, NY before. We took a ride up to lose our Roller Derby virginities. Man's Ruin vs South Jersey. It was hard hitting and very fun to watch. Nobody wants to see a 4 year old get hurt at a place like this. As a matter of fact, no parent ever wants to see their child injured. I decided to take my daughter to The Castle Fun Center​, and she was riding on the children's go carts. During one of the races, my friends daughter hit the wall and was rear ended. The seat belt from the car almost instantly bruised her shoulder. This post is not a complaint, but a complement to the staff that was working this evening. The staff that attended to her injury absolutely sweet and incredible. It did not feel as if it were "staged" either. Their concern felt genuine. The manager on duty Mike, and the 3 younger guys that were there, did everything they could to comfort this small 4 year old. Consider this a very heart felt thank you, from me, my friend, and I will keep coming back, due to the way we were treated. Thank you again. Keep up the EXCELLENT work!! read more

This place has a lot of stuff, but it's not all in the best shape. The putt-putt course is nicely laid out and the kids had fun, but it could definitely use some touch ups on the greens and some of the other accoutrements. The bonus hole (ball return) at the end was a nice touch. If you hit the ball into the castle (which isn't too difficult), the dragon statue breathes fire and you get a free golf game. The batting cages were ok, but once again, could use a bit of a refreshing. On the softball lanes, about a third of the balls didn't launch properly and fell well short of the batters box. Seemingly because of overly worn balls or machinery. Wouldn't be too big a deal if each round was for a certain amount of time, but each round you pay for is for 18 balls, of which only 10 or 12 are actually hittable. We didn't do the go carts, but they looked pretty average. Nothing special about them at all. The only indoor activity we did was skating. The skating rink there is nice and in good repair. They have some very skilled young folks working the floor. Skates and roller blades are available for rental, with the blades costing slightly more. The skates are pretty good, but the roller blades are pretty much unusable. The skates lace up, but the blades are the 3-strap boot. The clasps are worn to the point that they won't stay where you put them. The first time you push off, the toe and arch straps pop right out. The staff knows and acknowledges this, so it's obviously not a new issue. It would seem that if you're going to pay money to rent equipment (especially the more expensive of the 2 options), they shouldn't be giving you KNOWN defective equipment. read more

We had a terrible experience for my baby sister's 5th birthday. We purchased an expensive cake and the hostess offered to put it in the fridge until we sang happy bday - the cake was placed next to a dish washer & oven it was completely ruined. We spoke to several staff members and they were rude and did not try to make our experience any better. We will not plan any future events - however the children enjoyed the games, roller skating, bounce house and pizza. Overall, the customer service needs improvement (a lot of young staff members). read more

The Castle really does provide entertainment for all ages. You can come here with your kids or come here on a date night or with a group of friends. You have to pay for every activity you do and the prices are okay, I think for what you get, it's slightly overpriced. The biggest rip-off, I think, is the mini golf. It's very poorly maintained and should not cost you $8 to play because it's not worth it. The carpet is bunched up, there is garbage in the water, and you can just tell that its aging and there has been no upkeep. Also when we played Laser Tag, the attendant told us not to select guns from a particular wall because most of them were broken. Getting to Chester NY is a bit of a drive for me so I don't know if I'll come back - maybe if someone suggests going again. I think it has a lot of potential, but they just have to keep with the times and make sure that they keep things looking vibrant and new and make sure that everything is functional and working correctly. read more

The Castle Fun Center is a bit outdated and could use some new equipment. They have mini golf, go-karts, and a outdoor batting cage. I came with some friends for the batting cage. The aluminum bats here are in fair condition. A few of them needs some new grip tape. The cage area isn't too big and there aren't that many different speeds to choose from. The pitches from the machine were somewhat inconsistent. I guess it could be a good thing to simulate a real life batting experience but there were too many high fast balls and the machine would frequently go on the fritz. The arm of the machine wouldn't grip onto a ball and would launch air balls and you would waste several turns until a staff member arrives. For a outdoor batting cage in a suburb, I would expect something nicer and bigger. There are some cages in the city that are nicer than this. As for service, I can't complain too much. The guys here were friendly and helpful whenever the pitching machine was acting up. The disappointing part is they didn't refund you some extra at-bats. read more

This place would be nice if they were at all realistic about the prices. They have a completely overpriced points system and older games/rides. $5 minimum per activity per child no matter what. Any other location has a day pass or game pass for one fair price for the day or even by the hour. I brought my son and his best friend we blew through $100 in less than an hour. Do yourself a favor and go to Rye play land if you want the outdoor fun it'll save you money. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the kids had fun together. read more

The mini golf is good if you like unique, novel obstacles. It was $8 for 18 holes. Each hole was completely different including water hazards, tubes, hills, blind corners, and even a climb to the top of the castle. There's a bonus hole after the 18th that if you make it, you get a free game. On a Saturday the course was a little crowded so there was a slight wait. The other things at the fun center didn't appeal to me, like the go-karts looked too safe and slow. I prefer a death type race but you can only do that at North Korean amusement parks. The laser maze looked cool. Again though, I was disappointed to find out the lasers do not actually cut people like in the 007 films. read more

My wife and I love minigolf and decided to go here on the way home from a trip. They open at 10am on the Monday we went so we got there right away. They have two 19-hole courses. We chose the Knight's course first because I heard it went way up into the castle (which is does). The design of this course is awesome and so unique! My wife said it was like the best place she's been to! I agree, the hole design was incredible, especially going up into the castle! We got done with the first 19 holes and wanted to go around again to do the other 19 holes so bad! (going again only costs $5 instead of a full $7.50) Only problem is that when we got done there was a school bus load of kids literally standing in a long long line waiting for hole 1 of the Dragon course. Technically they were playing in groups of 4, which was the rule, but there is no way we could wait behind them to tee off and then wait for every hole (since there were only 2 of us going quickly, and they were just kids having fun). I asked the attendant if we could sneak ahead of them and start on like hole 3 and just play the first 2 when we were done, but she politely said it wasn't quite possible. We decided to just head out on our trip home and just wonder what cool holes we missed out on. Hopefully someday we get to go back and try the Dragon course! By the way, it was crazy hot, but there is lots of shade! Also, some water features made a bit of a nice mist! read more

If you are from the hudson valley & have small kids/teenagers then this really is the place to be. From mini golf, go karts, laser tag, rock wall, mini bowling, roller skating & just all around indoor & outdoor activities it is bound to keep the kids busy. Not saying it's cheap but there really is nothing else in the area to even compare it to. On a summer day when you don't want to make the 2hr drive to the beach & the kids are bored this is your best bet. read more

When I was younger we would come here all the time! This "Fun Center" can entertain you for hours. They have rollerskating, mini golf, go-carts, rock climbing, batting cages, lazier tag, and a arcade. They also have a restaurant/pub called Jesters, which has pretty decent food. My favorite was the sweet potato fries. Yum Yum! We did try to come here the other night, but we left because we were clearly the oldest people in the place (anyone over 18 was considered old). But I think we are going to come back again when they have the Roller Derby - it should be a bigger more diverse crowd :-) read more

My daughter (13y/o) and a few of her friends went there this week. Overall, they had a very enjoyable time. The only blemish was while on the go-carts. This was my daughter's first time, and she was excited! However, after getting bumped (rubbin's racing), she became stuck up against the "wall". The staff worker overseeing was mimicking to turn the wheel, which my daughter tried, but the cart didn't move. He then sternly said to her, "What are you doing?!". After taking his time to come over and push her cart back away from the wall he said, "Do it right next time." That experience was all it took to turn a 5 star rating into a 3 star rating. We did the arcade only and had a lot of fun. As with most arcades, it was a little pricy. The games were fun and there was a large variety. My kiddo easily received enough tickets for a prize. This place is awesome! They have so many different types of activities. They even have a bar for the adults (Jester's) and there's axe throwing in the bar. I love coming here for the $1 skate sessions on Thursday nights! (Especially since it's the closest rink where I live in NJ) Sometimes after work my friends and I get food and a few drinks from the bar in Jester's restaurant and then we venture to the roller rink to skate for about an hour and a half. The skate rentals are $3.50 and the blade rentals are 4.50! Sometimes it can get a little crowed with little children zipping around everywhere but it still fun and the music is great. When The Castle took over Wicks Driving Range I thought it would be great with some updating and improvements. Not much has really changed other a ball dispenser with Castle Card. Seems like Management has been renovating the 14x14 shed for the last few years. The kiosk to load card is hit or miss. Usually a miss. Here's an idea...instead of running it on the cheap with these automated kiosks etc how about investing some $$ in the place and have a person on site or turn it over to an operator who I'm sure could maximize its potential. read more

The place is okay but sooooo overpriced that in terms of value it's really very poor. You can spend a fortune in a very short period of time. Some of the things there are fun for the kids, so don't misunderstand me. I'm not knocking the place. I drive past this place all the time, didn't realize how much they have to offer. The arcade is way better then the local Chuckie Cheese, and the lazer tag was awesome! My son loved the ballocity, he could have stayed in that all day. (Some kids would, and that's only 8 bucks.) Didn't do the go karts, not enough time, next time maybe. The place was packed, as it was president's day, and yet didn't feel crowded. We'll never go back to Chuckie's after this!! read more
