When you enter this joint the menu is on the wall or you can grab one to take a look at before ordering at the counter. You put your order in and you are given a number to put on your table. If you want to partake in the free booze let the staff member know at the counter you want a margarita on the rocks or frozen. For beer just let the table attendant know that you would like a beer. They have Lonestar and Budlight. We ordered the fish and chicken basket with fries and hush puppies. The tarter sauce and other sauces are available to you at a small table. I wish I lived closer! I was in town visiting friends and family and was craving crawfish. I called around and The Catch had them! (It's really early in the season, but they had them). They were reasonably priced and needed a little extra seasoning, but they hit the spot. I also had the small fried shrimp basket. Lemme tell ya, this is some of the best fried shrimp I have ever had! Love the catch! We've never left disappointed, the food is very tasty and great portion sizes.

I gave it 3 stars because they need more cooks and/or a bigger kitchen! Food was great but the wait was 55mins. I love the seasoned fries. Beans and rice was delicious. A bit spicy for some. I'd definitely refer friends and family to the Catch but I'd let them know about the wait. read more

Not bad. Didn't think you could fast food gumbo but it happened. The taste isn't bad but it's half rice and there were no sauces to add... at least I wasn't offered any. Cheese grits were good. Creamy. Mostly a bunch of kids working here being silly and one older guy corraling them in. You're not wasting your money eating here, it's about the same as a double Whataburger, so go for it. read more

We LOVE the food at The Catch Burleson however, we are not able to dine in-restaurant and we doordash our orders. The past 3 orders have been missing items and tonight, the order was missing $20.00 worth of desserts for my Husband and me. I called the restaurant and spoke with the "manager" who told me "That's the risk you take when you order something third party". I was not offered any solution or resolution to our loss. The "manager" didn't even seem to care, not even an "I'm Sorry". Our order total was well over $100.00. Additionally, there was no condiments in the bag, nothing. The bag the order came in was sealed at the restaurant, and sealed when it arrived and I personally unsealed it. I am very disappointed and we will not be ordering from there any more, not because of the food, but because of the horrendus customer service. Did this manager even take a second to consider the fact that we may not be able to leave our house? or sit at a restaurant? NO, he didn't. Well, we will not be taking a "risk" with the Catch Burleson ever again. read more

Really enjoyed this place! Love that they keep slap yo mamma on the table with other condiments. Order at the counter style and then the food is brought to you. Husband really enjoyed the fried alligator, I got the grilled shrimp and shrimp etoufee w/ sides of fried okra and red beans and rice. Grilled shrimp had a wonderful flavor and a good amount of seasoning. Really enjoyed the breading on the okra, it was light but provided a good crunch. Etoufee had a great flavor but unfortunately a bit of the rice was slightly undercooked. I did not notice that problem with the red beans and rice (which I throughly enjoyed). Everything is made to order and they were PACKED the day we showed up so I'm sure that's why they were in a rush with the rice. I was able to kind of eat around it and like I said everything was so delicious, it didn't bother me that much. We also got an appetizer of the boudin balls, which actually really impressed me. The outside was kind of crispy and the inside was nice and moist. Really great flavor on those. I would definitely come here again next time we were in the area wanting cajun food. read more

Went here on a Friday night. They were busy and the place was full...as well as the patio. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Great menu...tons of combo options. I had the medium fried shrimp basket and my daughter had the medium catfish basket. They asked if I wanted a margarita and they had both frozen and on the rocks to offer. It was weak but free so very pleased. They also had a couple beers on tap that they were handing out. The staff was awesome...they were hustling but still very friendly and helpful. The shrimp was awesome...breaded just right and good size. They were cleaned very well which is an important step that too many places miss on. The medium basket contained 6 large shrimp. The hush puppies were good..I like the corn and green onions inside..very flavorful. Fried were ok..nothing to rave about but decent. My daughter's catfish was wonderful. Very fresh and well prepared. 2 large filets in a medium. We will definitely be back and I am looking forward to trying the other things on the menu. We used to love visiting The Catch, but unfortunately, our last visit was not the best. My husband and I each ordered the fried crawfish/ shrimp combos (to-go), but there was nothing to the crawfish, which was the majority of the meal. It was like dried-up batter... crispy pieces of nothing (definitely no tail inside!) We did order late, and I'm not sure if we received the bottom of the bag or if the product was old, but it definitely left a bad taste in our mouth, especially for the price paid. :( We probably won't be back for a while. read more

We continue to eat here about once every ten days. Fish, shrimp, and coleslaw are outstanding, as are the fries. Hush puppies are a bit small and over-cooked. Gumbo is very flavorful, but a bit "muddy". Service has always been above average. read more

I, personally, was not impressed with The Catch. Florida native who loves seafood (pescatarian and all, its the only meat I eat) and southern cuisine at the same time. This is what we'd consider more commercial and otherwise avoidable. Visiting a friend who's new to Burleson and we ended up here. Our order included fried medium jumbo shrimp, fried whitefish, cheese grits, and boiled shrimp. Good: fried shrimp were good. Boiled shrimp were okay, we asked for extra hot spice and it was barely mild. Hush puppies included with fried shrimp were tasty. Free watered down margaritas (not complaining about free). Bad: overpriced, small portions. Whitefish was blah, hot sauce couldn't revive it and there was no yellow mustard which is a travesty in my Floridian book. Ugly: this section is dedicated to the nastiest "grits" I've EVER had in my entire life. Visually, they didn't even look like grits. 2 bites and I was done. Fried fish and cheese grits are my favorite thing in the world. So I take it personal when people mess up grits. I sincerely don't even know what I was eating. Summation, do not get those nasty grit things. Oh and I think there was supposed to be cheese in it? No. I'd return for the fried shrimp but not regularly. read more

I have seen this place everyday when i pass-by, its always packed with cars parked.. Today i decided to try it out. -order the grilled catfish (alittle spice, which is good), red/beans & white rice, and grilled veggies.. I am very impressed of this place, its very hard to find a good sea food in Burleson area... Very reasonable price.. great friendly staff, very rapied on service. will come again and bring the family or just kiddos.. We stopped here after it opened and split one of the combination fried fish platters. One of the biggest ones. The free margarita was a neat perk. We never came back until yesterday afternoon. Once again, we shared a big fried fish platter. We got a free frozen margarita for me and a small cup of free beer for the hubby. He finished his beer. I left half of my margarita. I wish we had only ordered a plate full of fried whitefish. They did that perfectly. Perfect batter/crunch/texture/taste. Everything else? Not so much. Fried shrimp had a bit too much batter. It was easier to tackle with knife and fork. The other fish fillet (catfish?) Was a bit undercooked. Hubby didn't care for the fried oysters. The fries had a decent flavor. There's so much on the menu that we haven't tried. The free round of drinks is a neat perk. The service was so friendly. This isn't a bad review. This trip just didn't knock my socks off. Not sure where to start.. but let's with food poisoning. This place was dirty for starters . I should have walked away and we sat down at the table and it was completely filthy and this includes everything on the table from salt and pepper shakers hot sauce bottles.We decided to stay and we cleaned off our own tables and waiting for our food. We ordered catfish fillets fries and has puppies. We share them thankfully so we didn't waste as much money as we could have. The cat fish was definitely not cooked completely. We asked for it to be cooked extra but lo and behold when I came out it was not appear to be cooked at least well enough to eat from the outside but we later found out it definitely was not. The fries were completely covered in sugar and we're just too sweet.The one item That we definitely did not want overcooked was the hush puppies and let me just tell you they were burnt to a crisp. We informed one of the employees the one who took her order specifically and she looked at them and asked what was wrong. The hush puppies were almost black I couldn't believe she had asked the question but we went ahead and told her the issue and 10 minutes later after we had I had some of the food at least as much as we could handle, she comes back out with more hush puppies which was more burnt than the first batch unbelievable!It appeared it could possibly be the same hush puppies that we had sent back but we didn't wanna make a big stink we were just ready to leave at this point . Also, I forgot to mention we called our food and a head because we heard this place has a very long wait so we called our food in even though we were going to eat it there. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes we arrived 30 minutes later and the food was just being brought out. Thankfully we got there later than expected or we would've been sitting there 20 minutes waiting on our call in order.This place definitely is in need of some updates and a good management team. The one star was only given because I cannot give zero do not recommend this place at all !! Guess I better get a pillow and sleep in my bathroom bc thanks to this place that's where I have been the last 24 hours . Well my first trip in with my mother in law everything was perfect, the crawfish were juicy and the crab legs were seasoned to perfection. The second trip during the same week was a travesty.. Maybe there was a shift change or the cooks were new but I didn't like anything I received. The crawfish were dry (no need to suck the head) and the crab legs were cold the first time and the second batch was over cooked. We eat here once a week. Love the shrimp, fish baskets. The fried jalapeños are excellent. If you have not tried it or have not been there in a while you need to give it a shot. They cook to order so it comes out hot. read more

We finally were able to eat here this past Friday night! We ordered 1lb shrimp and a pound of crawfish, both medium with extra spice on the side. We also opted for double corn and potatoes. Both dishes were excellent. In fact, the crawfish tasted so good we returned for lunch Saturday. :) We also ordered a couple of pieces of catfish and a small okra which were also tasty.
