I finally made it to the Catch a couple of days ago. Several of my co workers have been jumping up and down about this place. Yes, it is indeed a CATCH!! From the moment I walked in the door and the second I placed my order I was treated like a CATCH!!! The service was impeccable. The General manager took the time to tell me about the popular items on the menu and made a few suggestions. She offered me something to drink as I sat and waited quietly until I received my order. My expectations were exceeded. The service was very fast and it was reasonably priced. The food was made to order. When I arrived home the food tasted as if it was fresh out of the oven. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed everything we got. The catfish was my favorite - it was well seasoned, breaded, and fried, and it was a substantial filet. We got medium full house seasoning on the crawfish, and it was so good! The crawfish were not only huge but super fresh, and were clearly expertly prepared. We ordered the jumbo (cup) as well, this had good flavor but not my favorite out of everything we ordered. This is true New Orleans style Cajun cuisine, and so glad we have one close to us. The service was really good, and we got good recommendations. The ambiance is fast casual, and it's a cute little spot. They could use some TVs playing sports or something. They offer takeout, and we noticed a lot more takeout orders than ppl eating in. Overall, I would definitely come back and try other dishes on the menu like the fried chicken and beignets. This place is amazing !! We went for crawfish (which was delicious ....we had the Full House seasoning ) and ordered the French Quarter plate and a side of red beans and rice and it was all delicious !! We visited about an hour before closing time. The guy working the front counter was nice and patient as we decided what to eat. The wait wasn't very long for everything that we ordered. The food was very "mid" though. The texture of the gumbo was a little different. Not very "stew" or "soup" like. Our dinner plates were okay. I had blackened catfish on a bed of rice with shrimp. I was craving fried fish and I'm so happy we stopped her for a bite to eat. The location was in a shopping center with ample parking. Upon arriving, I was greeted and the ordering process was smooth. There were many table inside but since the weather was nice, we chose to dine outside. We had to take a table setup (napkins, ketchup, and hot sauce) from an indoor table since there weren't any outside. I ordered from this restaurant on Uber Eats for pick up. I got the notification that my order is ready so I drove there and they had a sign outside saying that they are closed and will reopen ASAP. There was a lady inside mopping and I was trying to show her my phone through the window that I ordered it on Uber Eats and it said it was ready already, and she just kept shaking her head and pointing at the door, saying to read the sign. I told her I read the sign, but I had already ordered this on Uber Eats and it's supposedly is ready and unsure of what am I supposed to do. She kept pointing at the sign had an attitude and was not trying to come to the door to help me. Poor customer service. Never got my food. Have to figure out how to cancel the order. read more

I definitely know it's not catfish. I do not understand why people lie as if Texans do not know any better! The crawfish tails were okay. The fries had too much seasoning and the canned green beans were soggy (cooked from frozen). Waste of gas, time and money. As a Louisiana native recently moving to the DFW area, I was on the hunt for good seafood. This has been the best casual spot I've found thus far. I like how they fry the catfish- it's not super gritty with cornmeal. The catfish and shrimp had a nice flavor and the it was served hot and fresh! Only thing that surprised me was how small the catfish nuggets were; I prefer them to be a a little bigger. The restaurant is very clean in the inside and I received great service. Well I use to like eating here at one time . Until now that I learned that every fried food on there meau is cross contaminated with each other . So if you're someone with food allergies or a spiritual belief , it is not recommend to eat anything from here that is fried . Five months after my first visit and the food is still bringing me back to The Catch! I took a friend who ordered grilled catfish and dropped a piece, and they immediately jumped in to cook her a new one! I heard someone say, "If you're not sneezing, then it ain't seasoned!" Everyone in the restaurant was sneezing at the same time as the seasoning wafted from the kitchen. We laughed because it was unusual for EVERYBODY to be sneezing, but best believe there was not one unseasoned bite on our plates. I sent someone there who wanted fish. Went here for a girls' night dinner and loved everything from the casual atmosphere and great service. Everything we ordered was tasty and well-seasoned without being overly salty. We tried the boudin balls (great crisp texture), blackened gator app, boiled crawfish, catfish nuggets, fried okra, crawfish etouffee, and beignets. All the fried food had a light yet flavorful breading that was top notch. The blackened gator had the right amount of seasoning and was nice to see over fried gator. Heather , the GM, greeted us & was very helpful with everything. The food was outstanding. Hot & fresh. Tenders were perfectly cooked & seasoned. A light crunch in every bite. The fried were crispy yet light. I ate every last one of them which I rarely do. So glad we stopped in today. Finally some good food after having a disappointing meal yesterday while in town visiting. I was definitely impressed by the flavor & freshness. The food was hot out of the fryers and delivered immediately to the table. The fish po boy and catfish nuggets were fried to perfection. This strip center restaurant serves up basic seafood fare that is quite good. It's a very casual atmosphere with a few interior tables for eat in, but most I saw was taking orders to-go. It is counter service, but if you eat in, they will bring your food out to the table. Food came out hot and in about 10 minutes. I had the blackened catfish & fried shrimp combo with hushpuppies and rice. The catfish fillet was on the small side but cooked perfectly. The shrimp was larger than you normally get so it offset the fish a little. The hushpuppies were pretty good too, and the rice was, well, rice. Prices were reasonable and they had a few desert selections I didn't indulge in, but they looked awfully good. If you're in the Campbell & Coit Rd area, give it a try, it's worth the visit and you may find a gem in the rough. read more
