I went in today for lunch. I was never given a menu, never acknowledged, never anything....I waited 10-12 minutes. Then, the waitress said hello and began talking to a party of 3 who had come in AFTER me. I stood up and left.

This is a little bitty hole in the wall place in the corner of a strip center with one lady run in the front of the house and I think one Cook in the back but they do a great job. The onion rings are fantastic. Fried shrimp are good. It's just an all-around down home, New Orleans style seafood dive, and I really like it

Only one waitress, she did a great job! Service with smile I loved it! Had a bowl of the seafood gumbo-medium heat. Ambiance appealing!! Prices reasonable and affordable.

I had never heard of this place and only stumbled upon it because a family member can only have gluten-free items. This restaurant has a rather extensive gluten-free menu that are marked by "**" on the menu. I ordered the redfish special with crawfish cream sauce and crawfish tails on top of pasta. It was delicious! My wife ordered the seafood nantua and it was also very tasty. I would recommend both of those if you're in the mood for pasta. For appetizer, we ordered the buffalo shrimp, cheese bread, and crawfish fritters. In hindsight, the cheese bread was not that good, but the other two items were good. Overall, this was a solid restaurant. The service was fabulous, and they were very accommodating to multiple dietary restrictions for our table. Lastly, I didn't get to try the seafood gumbo, but I heard it's delicious. They don't make the shrimp until you order the gumbo and they make it on the spot as you like it.

I will definitely update this review as I try more menu options, but, for now, I think it is appropriate to review their Seafood Pasta Nantau! I ordered this through UberEATS after a craving for a creamy pasta dish. I was a bit skeptical about ordering the dish because of the crawfish tails with it being the off-season for those. However, I took my chances... Boy, am I happy I decided to take my chances. The pasta was really good and the seafood, itself, did not taste frozen or weird. The sauce is seasoned well, not too thin and not too thick. The actual angel hair pasta was cooked perfectly. Oh, and they're not skimpy on the seafood! I had lots of everything and the shrimp were medium-large. I am excited to try more menu items. The picture I've posted does this dish no justice. It was not too greasy either!

The crab boil would have been great but whoever decided to put a cup of salt of the food should put the salt down. It was just too salty.

Chocolate chip cookie (9/10): Highlight of the meal. It's a pretty good cookie. Fruit cup w/ dip (8/10): That dip! Yum. Much better tasting than the dip you get in the grocery store fruit trays. The strawberries and pineapple could've been sweeter, but the grapes were good. Service (9/10) The to-go team member was knowledgeable and friendly. It is so rare to find a place where the food tastes the same every single time you visit. I never have to worry about a recipe changing unexpectedly or the quality dipping; it's always that same savory, delicious flavor I've come to crave. Because the food is so good, the word has definitely gotten out! It starts to get quite busy and energetic right around 11:30 AM. If you're planning to dine in, just be prepared for a lively, loud atmosphere--it's a popular spot for a reason! What really keeps me coming back is the complimentary ice cream cone. There is something so special about an establishment that shows appreciation for its patrons by offering a little treat on the house. Even when the restaurant is packed, that gesture makes you feel like a valued customer. For the most part, the machine is always up and running perfectly, unless it's down for a quick tune-up. Overall, if you want a reliable, delicious lunch with a sweet finish, you can't beat this place. It's worth every penny

Italian sandwich shop conveniently located by Tulane!…read more If you have ever been to Italy, you know this iconic focaccia bread sandwich, well here it is in New Orleans! The Roma is probably my favorite because it is more savory. The positano was a little sweeter than I expected with the fig jam. I love the fig jam. Both sandwiches were great and you can't go wrong Price is pricey Bread is oily Parking is street and somewhat difficult to find, had to walk 2 blocks Only has about 3 small tables to sit outside, otherwise you're out of luck. I took it to go since there was no seating. Overall, I'd definitely come back. I think half a sandwich per person would suffice instead of a whole next time. It still tasted good after being in the fridge for a day.

The prosciutto was heavenly, the sweetness of the fig spread coupled with the spicy Calabrian chilis is out of this world. Sooo good! Mike had the Pisa. Despite the chicken being a perfectly thin cotoletta (yes, I have been taking Italian lessons for the past year ) it was still moist and crispy. The sauce was wonderful and the mozzarella was melted to form the most delightful sandwich. We had planned to get back over there before we left town but failed to. Alas, another reason to come back to NOLA This place is not an eat in establishment but has 3 tables outside for you to enjoy your sandwiches. The young lady who took our order was friendly and pleasant and one of the owners (the mom) chatted with us. Our experience was wonderful. It reminded us of our visits to sandwich shops in Firenze. Everything is made from scratch (except the bread, which they source locally), and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorites are the Surf & Turf and the James Brown. The Surf & Turf gives you get the best of both worlds (shout out to Hannah Montana). Look it up kids. You get the slow-cooked roast beef with gravy plus fresh Gulf shrimp. Shut the front door! The James Brown is just as incredible: juicy BBQ beef, pepper jack cheese, fried shrimp, and a hot sauce mayo. Bring napkins - you'll need them. Pro tip: go with a group and order a few different po'boys to share. You'll want to try everything. You made it to the end, so here we go. I feel like gate keeping (look it up old-timers), but I'm going to be generous because I love y'all. In order to skip the line, go to the bar area and find a high top or seat at the bar. A seat always opens up quickly. It never fails. You can order from the bartender and the service is top notch. Cheers y'all!
