If I could give this review more than 5 stars, I would. I was celebrating my 27th birthday with my closest friends and I can honestly say The Chapman was the best dining experience I have ever had. As soon as I arrived, the staff acknowledged it was my birthday and the manager came over to grab my cake and put it in the fridge and we were immediately sat. I started out with a Cloudstar martini which was incredible and I ordered the famous focaccia rolls for the table. They are so flavorful with the Tasmanian sea salt and they are so doughy and soft. Truly unlike any bread service I have ever had. For my entree, I ordered the Bronzed Florida Grouper with the saffron risotto but I also had a few bites of the Chapman Meatballs and Salmon. Everything I tried was absolutely incredible. The menu is packed with flavor and has something for everyone, which I really can appreciate. For dessert, even though I had brought in a cake for the table, our server Maddie, informed me that she will be bringing out a no bake cheesecake. The cheesecake was fantastic and I loved the berry jam on the side. Maddie brought out side plates and a knife for us to cut the cake and even assembled my candles and lit them. We were dining outside, closest to the patio, and at one point the rain started to pick up. The manager immediately came over and said that they had a table inside available if we wanted to move inside. Since we all were staying dry we opted to stay outside and a few moments later the rain stopped. As someone who has worked in the service industry the pre-planning of this moment was incredible. Throughout the entire evening, Maddie was consistently clearing plates, filling water, and checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Maddie was attentive and such a delight. The restaurant even gave me a happy birthday card from the whole team with handwritten signatures and well wishes. This was incredibly special and such an intimate gesture that really goes the extra mile. The service that we received this night was exemplary and I truly owe it all to our server, Maddie. In fact, I have never experienced this before when dining for my birthday. Thank you, Maddie, and to The Chapman team for making my 27th so special. I will definitely be dining here again and will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know!

We came in for lunch to celebrate our Director of Operations & Finance's 10th anniversary with our firm and we had a fantastic experience. The service is truly exceptional. We were incredibly grateful that they allowed us to bring in a cake and served it for us at the end of the meal with fresh plates and chilled forks. We had two waitresses attend us and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. They refolded napkins, cleared plates, swept up crumbs, and kept water glasses filled for our large group. It was very impressive. The food was spectacular. They sent about an amuse bouche complimentary of the chef, which was very nice. For appetizers, we enjoyed the focaccia bread, arancini, crab cake, and bruschetta. Everything was fabulous. The bread was fresh, the bruschetta was super flavorful, the crab was perfect, and the arancini were so hot and tasty. For my entree, I got the filet mignon wedge salad. The presentation was stunning. The steak was perfectly cooked. They checked to make sure I was happy with it. The fresh tomatoes, avocado, and lettuce were fantastic. I loved the swicy bacon. Everyone else was very happy with their meals. This experience was stunning from start to finish. I cannot recommend The Chapman enough for celebrating.

I'd give this review 10 stars if possible. Maddie was our server and she was so delightful and went the extra mile!!!!! We dined in last night for my friend's 27th birthday and we were seated on the patio closest to the sidewalk. It started to rain at one point and the manager came over to us to let us know that if the rain picked up or started blowing in towards our table, they had a table available for us inside. The rain ended up stopping, and we were safe to stay outside! We started off with the focaccia and it was nothing like I've ever tasted before. There was this purple Tasman sea salt on top and it was paired with an orange butter. It was hands-down, the best focaccia roll. I've ever put into my mouth. I almost ordered another, but I wanted to save room for dinner. My friend and I split the lobster flatbread and the flavors of the red peppers with the lobster and the special sour cream sauce was delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the Chapman meatballs. They were very flavorful, and it sat on a bed of lentils and a green salsa Verde, which I believe had avocado in it. I need the recipe to these meatballs! They were delicious! I took a few bites of the ahi tuna stack, as well as a few bites of the Involtini. The tuna had a slight spicy kick to it, but was very fresh and flavorful. The Involtini was AMAZING. I almost wish I ordered this as my entree. It had this citrus yogurt that paired really well with the egg eggplant and zucchini and curry. I will definitely be ordering this dish the next time I dine in here! Once it was time for dessert, Maddie informed us that she would be giving us a no bake cheesecake to try. We had also brought in a Bundt cake for my friend's birthday and Maddie provided us with small plates and a knife to cut the cake. The no bake cheesecake was delicious, however I forgot to snag a photo! The restaurant gave my friends happy birthday cards, with personally signed messages from the entire staff. I've never seen anything like it before. This was very special and intimate. Throughout the night, Maddie was very attentive, asking us how everything was tasting, consistently clearing our plates, and filling our waters. Towards the end of the evening, she found out that it was most of our first times there, and she sent us all home with complementary macaroons. I haven't had a dining experience this great in a really long time, so Maddie really made my friend's birthday extra special. Give Maddie her flowers because she deserves it!!!! I will gladly be coming back to The Chapman in the future for a date night, and I hope to have Maddie as my server again!!!

I dined at The Chapman for lunch today and had an exceptional experience. The food was very tasty and full of flavor across the board, with every dish thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. You can tell there's a real commitment to quality ingredients and execution in every bite. Our server also explained that the restaurant's flavors play into the local citrus orchards. The whole restaurant pays homage to Winter Park's history and traditions. From the design to the menu, there's a clear and intentional connection to the area's heritage, creating an experience that feels both elevated and rooted in the community. The floor of the restaurant is the original terrazzo and the tweed in the booths represents the tweed jackets the founders of Winter Park would have worn. What truly set this experience apart was our server, Derik. He delivered a level of hospitality that was simply unparalleled. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our experience perfect. He knew all of our names, gave great menu recommendations, and was a joy to interact with. Derik delivered, without question, the best service I've experienced at any restaurant.

We took Thornton Park District staff and volunteers here for a little board retreat. We are a large, fun and food and drink loving group. I mean "hello," we are located in Thornton Park. The staff was great. Our meals all came out as planned and were all pretty tasty. Thanks for the service and good food. And did I mention drinks. I liked that martini. Cheers!

Second review, now after trying a different cocktail, an appetizer and an entree (coincidentally, both vegetarian). - Coco dancer: jalapeño infused tequila, coconut milk, elderflower, lime. A 3 step experience: first I tasted coconut with elderflower; then the punch of lime and tequila; then, the lingering spiciness of the jalapeño. 10/10. - Bang Bang Lion's Maine: an incredible vegetarian take of bang bang chicken. Extremely well executed. The Lion's Maine tasted just like and had the texture of chicken. - Involtini: I asked about the Portobello mushroom burger and the server recommended this one instead. So glad I followed her advice. The long ingredient list speaks for itself: eggplant, zucchini, raisins, pomegranate, crispy garbanzo, basmati rice, coconut curry, yogurt, pistachios, mint, house spices. I think I also saw and tasted some fine carrots slices in it. It was extremely flavorful and fun to eat. Who would have thought that an Indian Mediterranean vegetarian dish could deliver that much? The Chapman keeps delivering in all 3 Yelp elements (food, service and ambiance) and is my current favorite restaurant in WP.

Very beautiful place to come have brunch or dinner. Came for Mother's Day with family and the staff was so nice and accommodating. The menu has some of everything. I wasn't completely blown away by the food personally, but I did like the plentiful options. Parking is available street side or across the street in the parking garage. Huge plus!

Another great dining experience at The Chapman. This time, we hosted a special visitor from Dallas, TX. Our ladies had the mocktail and loved it. We shared some appetizers and a bottle Trimbac Riesling, pairing with some seafood and chicken entrees. Both today's specials - grouper and scallops were excellent. The chicken, salmon and shrimp pasta were also tasty. Our server was very attentive. However, he didn't let us taste the wine before pouring, perhaps because he thought the bottle didn't have the cork. Sorry, as a former sommelier, I couldn't help. We wanted to try the new Glass Knife on Park Ave, so we skipped desserts.

It's our first visit for Brunch. I recommend making a reservation. I really enjoyed the over all experience. There is a nearby parking garage. No parking available in front of the restaurant. We started with the Martini Tree Affair. It's a total of 6 drinks, up to 2 flavors. We picked the Espresso Martini and Pretty in Pink flavors. Wow! The perfect cocktails for brunch. Nice and smooth, not too sweet. Our waitress, Maya, was absolutely amazing. From her recommendations to her remembering all of our names. Very attentive and polite our whole visit. We wanted to try so many dishes and decided to share the weekend waffle, French Toast and the Seared Arctic Salmon Caesar. Pleasantly surprised the French Toast was not overwhelming sweet. It was just perfect. I loved the decor and cool vibe. The clean space was very welcoming. I would really like to come back for dinner.

Highly recommend working with The Chapman for a work event. We had our office holiday dinner here and MAN IT WAS AMAZING! Cocktails? 10/10. Salads? Delicious. Entrees? Juicy and perfectly cooked. Service? INCREDIBLE! I had never been here prior to coming for this event. Their private room was perfect for a party of about 15. It was intimate and of course, with the holidays, decorated beautifully. Even if it was a pre-fixed menu due to our party size, the options were great. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the espresso martini among other cocktails on their menu.

This was probably one of the best meals I have ever had. Came here yo celebrate my spouses 40th. We ordered the facaccia rolls, wagu steak, and swordfish. Everything was delicious, the wagu melted in our mouths and the swordfish was cooked to perfection. The real winner though was the sweet potato mash that was served with the swordfish. I ate it so slowly hoping to pick up on the ingredients, but just ended up elongated my enjoyment of it.

Elegant spot on Park Ave, perfect for a brunch date! Everyone is super friendly and helpful in making recommendations. The weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying a few cocktails from the martini tower. You can choose two flavors, so we ended up doing the Spritz and the Espresso Martini. Both were delicious and not too sweet. By far my favorite salad in town, the Farmers LOL Chicken Salad. It's so full of veggies and perfectly cooked chicken, not dry at all! And ask for extra swicy bacon - it's a perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Also shared was the table side avocado toast which was a fun experience and topped with Hot Honey!

The appetizers, however, aren't as inventive. We ordered curly fries, Brussels sprouts, and the smash burger. The latter was a bit of a disappointment: the patties were thin, overcooked, and almost tasted like a frozen burger. The other two were good, with the sprouts being my favorite. As you'd expect with the setting and price point, the service was professional and attentive.

Joey was our server and he was great. My guest was not as adventurous as me, so he got the meatball app which I tried and was excellent. I had the carpaccio and crudo, both excellent. I had the local lager on tap. We each had a personal pizza, I got the spicy selection and it was spicy enough. I loved the petite red peppers on the pizza. Overall it was perfect for our meeting and I would go again while in the neighborhood.

After months of anticipation... I finally made it to Alfie's…read more It was exactly what I was hoping it would be: a slice of culture. Real people. Real life. Real youth. Real energy. Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. No complaining about that ! lol

So, I've been driving by this place for months and finally stopped in today. On a Sunday at…read more11:30am. Let's start with props for being open at that time on a day when most restaurants are still sleeping from the night before. But here, you can get highly-curated, quality Japanese hand-rolls, with Sapporo or Asahi on draft, all kinds of sake, a calm, soothing atmosphere and friendly service. The place itself is very art-directed, modern and purposeful. Apparently it's owned by the Kabooki Sushi team, and the quality speaks for itself. It's not your typical sushi restaurant. It's hand rolls. Which means, seaweed is the wrap. Theirs is imported straight from Japan. And for the record, the seaweed is dense, flavorful and also way healthier for you than a mouthful of rice. I sat for the omakase which included a very delicious hamachi appetizer. Then an onslaught of handrolls including lobster, eel, a lean and fatty tuna (toro, the best) and a spicy root vegetable of the name I can't remember. In all, this place has great hours. A wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. And flavors that you can explore because the folks there want you to have fun eating the food as they prepare it. It's very live and fresh. And I'm super grateful it's just a few blocks away because I'll leave you with this. The prices are reasonable too. 5 stars all around. But be careful, I hear it gets packed during peak evening hours. Bravo though. Mosonori has a place in Orlando's culinary scene, for sure.
