Ok obviously because the espresso martini tree is viral on TikTok we had to go. It was worth the hype. The rum in the martinis really made the drink even better and I was really pleased. I had the poke bowl to eat and it was a bit more deconstructed than I had planned but still really tasty. Would eat again. Over the holidays my family had the opportunity to visit Winter Park for the first time. What an amazing city! The Chapman is an upscale restaurant in a really cool area with all sorts of shopping, eating, and drinking (bars and coffee spots) venues. We would start our mornings and end our evenings here, doing something different each time. But back to The Chapman, this was our favorite dinner! A fun atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a nice bar area. The ambiance felt very modern and relaxing. I had their fresh grilled fish which was delicious. So I was having issues getting a large party combined for brunch last Sunday for my birthday...I was in a panic due to changes in my reservation at another place I won't name and will never visit I called The Chapman. They have an ample dining room and separate areas for larger private parties. We tried the lion's mane bang-bang style and I had to order the crab cake. Both appetizers were outstanding. My favorite was the very generous colossal lump crab cake with fresh, crispy corn and hints of breading- served with a great remoulade and a nice touch of heat with a salsa negro. Our mains were: for hubby the signature hamburger with caramelized onion and tomatoes, and the tuna & avocado poke salad for me. The burger came at the correct temperature term, with steak fries. The salad was good, but the avocado and tuna were very neutral; just bland. The tuna and avocado were truly under seasoned, whereas the greens and grains wore a heavy coating of overly acidic and sweet raspberry vinaigrette- the flavors never adhered to the avocado or tuna making it hard to experience the intention in choosing these flavors. It was not my favorite poke. The quality, temperature, and presentation of our lunch was consistent throughout the experience. We will be back and try their dinner selections. Eat your veggies! Non green veggies tend to be ignored. Anyway. Fish of the day was great. Trying to remember what fish it was. Refreshing, tasty and aesthetically pleasing with the flower on top. For mains, I ordered the Roasted Local Mushroom Pappardelle with added chicken and it below me away. I was afraid all the flavors of goat cheese, mushrooms, asparagus and garlic would be overwhelming but it was amazing. The pasta is fresh and made in house as well. I would order this again. Madison ordered the Roasted Joyce Farms Chicken which may have been the best chicken I've ever had. You really can tell they use the best quality ingredients. Of course we also shared fries as the girlies do, and they were delicious and crispy. Finally as if we weren't full already lol, we had dessert! We shared the Chocolate decadence and didn't finish it, it was so rich but great if you're chocolate lovers like Madison and I. We had a wonderful experience at The Chapman! We were looking for somewhere to have a nice dinner and decided on The Chapman after their Magical Dining menu caught our eye. We were easily able to make a reservation with only a day or so notice. The interior is decorated beautifully and the ambiance is great for date night. As mentioned, we ordered from the Magical Dining menu which is a 3 course prix fixe menu. For appetizers we started with the Goat Cheese Raviolo and the Bang Bang Lions Mane, both portions were very generous and wonderfully flavorful. Entrees we got the ranch filet and the pork tenderloin. Again, great portions and amazing flavors. The filet alone is worth the price of the Magical Dining so if you order that you definitely get your moneys worth! For desserts we got the creme brulee and the citrus meringue pie. We were both VERY happy with our meals and truly happy with our experience overall. We were discussing when we could come back before we even finished our meals! read more

I would say the ambience was fantastic and the food was super unique but also sort of hit or miss (although I just had a few apps and my coworkers didn't care for the grouper ). Really enjoyed the Bang Bang Lion's Mane - first time having lion's mane mushrooms! The lobster flat bread was kind of salty I thought. I did love the crab cakes the best - big lumps of fresh and delicious crab meat. Overall, would love to come out again and try some other dishes. We didn't even get to the main entrees because the apps were so good, we filled up with them before even ordering. The restaurant is near a parking garage and there is street parking available too. They've only been open a few months so much of the restaurant is still being decorated and the warmth is still to come with more greenery, art and dividers added in the near future. Birthday dinner time! My brother and I decided to take our other brother and his girlfriend out for his birthday! My brother and I had debated which place we should take them. However we decided to give the newest restaurant on Park Ave a try! We promptly made a reservation for a Sunday evening and upon arriving, we were seated. Upon walking in, you'll see that the decor is done well and not overly fancy. There is a nice looking bar off to the side of the dining room. We were placed in the back room which has just a few tables. Now at the table, we were greeted by our server. We all went with drinks to start that surprisingly took a while to come out. However, we also ordered some interesting sounding, yet delicious appetizers. I went with the tequila old fashioned that they have and it was quite boozy. If that's what you're looking for, it's a great choice. The other drinks were well done yet not overly delicious as you might expect at other mid to high-end restaurants that have a page full of cocktails. The appetizers were interesting, we had the fancy bread which wasn't at all fancy. We went with the fried mushrooms which were breaded with a sauce and you couldn't tell what was underneath let alone if it was mushroom and we went with the braised carrots which had a nice light sauce around them and they were on top of polenta I believe it was. The carrots were by far the the best dish. For our mains, we went with a few different options but I'll speak on mine. I went with a bone-in ribeye which was cooked to medium rare. It came out with a decent crust seeing that it was Wood-Fired which is always nice. I'd say the steak was good. Not great. You could tell for a ribeye had just a little bit more sinew or muscle tissue than normal. Still had a good flavor and the potatoes that came with it were the best part. Our service was okay, however we could tell that this place is only been open for a month and with the service and the food, there are still a few kinks that need to be worked out for this price point. This industry is so competitive and everything needs to be on point. Not saying this other place is always on point but you'll know what I mean: we opted out for dessert and instead got it at Ava with an after dinner beverage. I really enjoyed this place. The ambiance was nice, dress casual, uptempo but relaxed at the same time. Drinks were nice and strong and they had a few different flavors that were different. The food and service was also good. My steak was seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. I tried the corn chowder soup, it had a hint of sweetness from the corn but was also spicy. The entire staff went out of their way to come by and wish us congratulations, took a Polaroid picture, and treated us to a special dessert. This was our first visit to The Chapman for lunch today. My wife and I were very pleased with the excellent service, delicious food and comfortable dining ambiance. The burrata on focaccia was a great starter to share. I ate the eggplant involtini which was amazing and flavorful. My wife enjoyed the crabcake which was fresh crabmeat on a bed of sweet corn and a light dusting of panko crumbs on top with 2 sauces. We are looking forward to returning soon for dinner. I visited on 11/18/25 and unfortunately the experience was not great. We had reservations, but it took about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us--there was no host or greeting at all. We ordered the crab cakes and lions mane as appetizers, and for our main dishes we had the grouper and the tilapia. Everything was very plain, lacking flavor, and definitely not what I'd consider an exquisite or memorable meal. For dessert, we tried the meringue pie, which tasted mostly like eggs and was overly sweet. To make things worse, our server completely forgot about us outside. It took forever just to get water, and we felt ignored the entire time. Overall, this was very disappointing, especially after reading so many positive reviews. We both had the lobster roll with fries. The lobster roll was perfect with the baby herbs on top. We saved room for dessert. I had the mile high citrus pie as I am both a meringue fan and a gingersnap fan. The tart of the citrus cut the sweet of the gingersnap crust. Had enough for a doggie bag.
