We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on wheat, a tuna melt on white, a field greens salad, and a drink. Sounds simple right? Well what we got was: grilled chicken sandwich on white and the salad. When we tried to tell them that we ordered a second sandwich, they actually told us "no you didn't." YES WE DID! We both spoke when we ordered! Why would you say that to a customer? How about, I must have missed that or something of the like but no, they blamed everything but themselves. Even got the excuse that it is an Italian bistro, whatever that was supposed to mean in relation to the issues. So we PAID for another sandwich and when they brought it out, the young lady basically plopped it down on the table. R-U-D-E. The food is mediocre at best, and the prices are stupid ridiculous for sandwiches (please dont even with "gourmet" because you can get basically the same thing at Publix or Subway) but because of the crappy service, it gets ONE STAR and I will NEVER return. read more

Cute place, but I am not impressed, I have been here several times for lunch with work friends and I am always left feeling that I paid to much, the food is ok to good, but i find it to be overly priced. I like the Prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich served on either white or wheat baguette, the bread is fresh and the sandwich itself is pretty tasty but I don't think its worth $10+ since its a small sandwich served on a plate with no garnish or side, even a small side of greens would make it more appealing. This location is small, service at the ordering counter is friendly but the kitchen tends to be slow and not consistent, I have been there at times where a group of us ordered at the same time and only half of us received lunch while the other half were still waiting even as we were already done. I am so happy to have this location so close to the house. This location is right next to a 100 Montaditos and a Five Guys in the Fountains Shopping Plaza. There is also a Lime ac cross from it. It is bigger than the Weston location but still small. If you go on any week night you will find that it's full! You might have to wait for seating to become available. There are two main tables that are large so it ends up being communal seating which can be a little awkward. The rest of the tables can be joined together or separated in two's. You order from their wall menu and they call your name out when ready. They sell cheese which is separated by texture in different refrigerated compartments.They also have assorted items for sale such as jams, cutlery, platters, gifts, etc. The food is mostly sandwiches or assorted cheese/meats combinations. You can't go wrong. I have never ordered anything that was bad here. My only complaint is that they are not on top of picking up the tables. We were waiting for three seats in one of the big tables. When they became available we had to wait a good 10 minutes or so before someone realized that they had to come clean the leftover food tray with uneaten food from it. We had told them but they still took their sweet time. In the meantime it was unpleasant for us. They also did not give us plates when they handed us our order of two platters with cheese/hams etc. was ready. Where are we supposed to eat it? on our napkins? I had to go ask for those too. You can buy wine there or you can bring your own for a $10.00 corkage fee. They still get four stars because the food is of great quality and delicious but they really need to watch the "little things" like service which can ruin a great experience easily. I've give up in the Weston cheese coarse. We were next store of the cheese Course at sprint so we decided I give them a shot. The food was ok, what else can you say about salads. Perhaps I'm getting old but I'm tired of going to businesses were the staff barely speaks English. The order taker was nice enough, but he mumbling and his English at best was poor. Another item they have cheese boards hanging as decorations, hanging low. I hit my head on one when I got up from the table. I'm tall but not that tall. I love the French salad here but the portion is so small. It's $25 for a super small salad and I had to add more lettuce. The flavors and ingredients are all amazingly mixed together. I've been coming to this Cheese Course for years and it's probably one of my favorite places to go for a quick casual lunch in the Plantation area. It's located in the Fountains plaza in an area where there are quite a few other restaurants and shops, so finding a close parking spot is rare. I usually end finding a spot behind the building. I love the Cheese Course because it's usually pretty quiet/relaxed, the service is quick, and it has a nice European bistro feel to it. They have outdoor seating, which is great to enjoy a bottle of wine and a cheese board on a nice day. Besides just cheese boards, the menu has a variety of sandwiches, salads, soups all featuring a different delicious cheese. They also have a large selection of specialty individual cheeses for sale. My favorite thing to order here is the pairing with a soup and half salad. On my recent visit here I ordered the mushroom and Brie soup, which is amazing, and the half portion of the Greek salad. Why, Oh Why did I wait so long to try The Cheese Course?! Fantastic! Immediately after visiting for the first time, I couldn't wait to go back! Everything I have tried so far has been wonderful (and I can not wait to try many more delicious items). Everything is amazingly fresh.. fresh mozzarella, fresh bread, fresh veggies. The Prosciutto De Parma Sandwich was outstanding.. and my fiance can't get enough of the Broccoli & Cheddar soup.. Yum! Looking forward to attending one of their events.. This is one of my favorite go-to lunch spots on the weekends. It has a nice outdoor seating area and smaller inside dining area. I love the food here. The salads are great which fresh lettuce and nice size portions. Normally I get the chicken sandwich on a wheat baguette or the chicken salad sandwich. The iced tea is to die for. The kitchen is sort of an open kitchen concept which makes me feel better because I can actually see what's going on in the kitchen. The downsides of this place are: 1. It takes awhile to get your food. I love that everything is made fresh you can definitely taste that when you eat it, however, it will be a good 20 before you get your meal. 2. The indoor seating/ordering area not ideal. The ordering station is in the center so when you sit along the wall people are standing on top of you while you're eating. And the menu is on the wall so you feel like everyone is staring at you while you take a bite of your meal. It's a nice alternative in the area if you don't want a burger or a burrito. One star because that's the lowest. Used to love this place -they had a wide range of cheese, combos on the menu and real accompaniments like Marconi almonds and figs. Went in after not visiting for a while - menu still had 20 varieties but the case had 7. Staffer had not heard of Camembert and said all the cheeses but 1 were cow's milk - including the obvious chèvre in the case. It's a sandwich shop and a dull one at that. Damn shame. read more

We ordered pick up for our Mother's day celebration. Upon arriving at home two of our chicken sandwiches were clearly raw. We called back expecting a refund for our lunch. The manager was blaming the company they buy food from and would not take responsibility (They claim the chicken they buy is pre cooked which was upsetting to hear as well). Finally they agreed to refund only the sandwiches with raw chicken after ruining our mother's day brunch. Definitely not the experience I had in the weston location. From the moment I walked in it was like ordering at Pantera Bread, staff was not greeting anyone nor seating anyone. Orders were started at there own discretion not when they were placed. It wasn't packed at all and I still had to wait quite a while for my food. Food quality was still great so that was definitely a plus. My coffee was a cappuccino it was definitely good but not work $5 in the small cut the was not even filled halfway. I haven't gone to the cheese course in over a year. I decided to order for pick up today. I work in the plaza, I know it's good, and it's been a while. When I called to place an order, the girl who answered was so rude.... I asked about a combo they have with a half sandwich and a cup of soup. She said they have it, I ordered my sandwich, and asked if they had one of two soups I like there, she said yeah, and then said the total and hung up... didn't confirm my choice so I got a little concerned. Went in and picked up my food, she just threw the bag down in front of me and told me the total. Definitely same girl. Long dark hair, braided. I asked about the soup, since she didn't confirm it with me, but thankfully she got it right... and it tasted great so 3 stars. Her customer service was awful. Wow! I am so glad I was driving through this shopping center and stumbled upon this gem! If i didnt live in California, I'd be here all the time! Such a fun and inviting atmosphere. I walked in and was greeted with a smile. Nice music that wasnt too loud and a wall of cheese books to read while eating lunch! I would eat everything on their menu. I opted for the lunch sandwich & soup combo and it did not disappoint. The mushroom brie soup was the best soup I've ever had! Not exaggerating at all! It was so good! Great selection of cheeses too! My friend loves this place, so we met for a quiet early dinner. Great Euro-style bistro, with incredible cheese options. I got the applewood bacon goat gouda cheese sandwich and tomato bisque, both were absolutely divine. My friend got a salad, but said she wished she had stuck with the sandwich. The menu has pairings that you can mix and match and I love options. It was simple, and I couldn't see into the kitchen but I wish I was able to see more of the production and more options for cheese. I would love to know more about the cheeses they have and where the come from! Next time, we decided to come and try a cheese plate and desserts to really get the full experience, to make it a nicer and more adventurous dinner. Great lunch spot! You can sit inside or out. There are a plethora of options on the menu with sandwiches, soups, salads, Mac n cheese, smoothies and cheese fondue. They also serve wine. I enjoyed my prosciutto sandwich and the tomato bisque soup. The tomato bisque soup is the best I've ever had. Normally I would just use tomato soup for dipping but I slurped down the whole cup here. I also shared the Mac and cheese with my coworker. It was very delicious. The only complaint was the wait time. I am a fan...and look forward to coming back! Came to the Cheese Course after months of hearing friends rave about it. I love cheese. I love wine. I don't know enough about it, at least not as much as I'd like, but I know I love it. We decided on the medium cheese course. There were 6 cheeses which included:Chevrot (Fresh), Edel de Cleron (Bloomy Rind), Taleggio (Washed Rind), Stilton (Blue), Morbier (Semi-Hard), Pecorino Toscano (Hard). Along with the cheeses came apples, grapes, walnuts, and a sundried tomato pesto sauce that was amazing. With slices of baguette. Awesome flavors and I got somewhat full between 3 of us - perhaps it was the 2 bottles of wine that we drank with it. Customer service was great. The cashier explained everything for us - even though we were obviously asking some dumb questions. Basically, they have a ton of options from sandiwiches to the cheese courses I picked (you can get them by flavor or country) and a selection of wines in bottles or by the glass. It is a little pricey, which is the only thing holding me back from the 5th star - but wine and cheese isn't cheap! My last visit here I'd probably roll down to 3 stars however just for wait time. There was one table in here already eating and us but that's it - empty restaurant yet we waited what seemed to be a very long time to get our food. How long can a caprese salad and a cheese plate take? It seemed as though the staff in the back was too busy gossiping and not fully focused. Yes I'll let it slide, and probably the next time I'm in here it will be packed and I won't notice the long wait time. This was my first time here I really liked the gourmet general store concept and the menu. The only thing I didn't like was how slow the line moves to order your food but once they have your order, it does not take long for the food to come I ordered two lunch items off the menu. 1) The English salad with grilled chicken and blue cheese with a delicious honey mustard vinegarette. I am so disappointed today with Cheescourse in Plantation. They took off their Coke machine and opted to have so cheesy gourmet brand soft drink machine instead. A little odd but okay I get it, they are trying to be a little more hipster, next time I will put my hair in a man bun and wear a romper. The sandwiches are delicious as well as the soup and the salads. I always get the perfect pairings with a Spanish Serrano Ham sandwich and a Tomato Bisque. If I was the owner of this Cheese Course, I would get completely new staff, starting with the "MANAGER" Twice in a row we got the order wrong. We did not complain, learned from our lesson, and started calling after ordering online to make sure they got the order correct. Today we called, went though it, they confirmed it, and again we received the wrong items. The first person we got on the phone actually gave my co-worker a hard time asking questions like if we did really call to confirm, etc. When we were transferred to the manager, I spoke to her. I'm a Sales Manager myself and could not believe how bad customer service I received. She didn't even apologize so I had to say: Thank you for apologizing!! ironically. This is my favorite European-style bistro and artisanal cheese market and cafe in Plantation. One of ten locations the restaurant offers a great variety of imported cheeses. Non-cheese menu - we order from their take-out menu for our office quite frequently (via Uber Eats). Everyone in our office enjoys it. I particularly enjoy their chicken salad sandwich on white bread, and creamy tomato soup. Cheese menu - come here for fromager, gouda, Brie, goat cheese, reserve cheddar, and many more European and American cheeses. Pair is with wine, if you don't know how - they can recommend. As much as I enjoy this place though, I absolutely hate that they serve the wine in plastic glasses! Why in the world would you serve wine in plastic cups??? I would like to believe that glassware is common sense for artisan cheese and wine store. Plastic completely kills the taste!! And the prices are not cheap here for the owners not to be able to afford wine glasses. It's a shame because the ambiance is great, but plastic wine glass kills it for me completely. read more

So today I was at the cheese course in Plantation and same offer appeared and no problems... I had the asiago and fontina grilled cheese and baked potato soup and my wife had grilled chicken and tomato soup both excellent. I love the Cheese course and have been to many of their locations... but this one I give less than 1 star. I was just there today and the cashier was very unfriendly and barely said a word. The tables and chairs outside were dirty so they are obviously not respecting any cleanliness as they should in the covid era. When we were done I could not find any employee for a good five minutes to get a to go box. Had to leave my three slices of pizza behind. I won't be patronizing this location again. read more
