Came to this place to attend a birthday party. Such a cute place close to downtown Livermore that serves many kinds of cheeses, beers and wines. You can sample some the cheese or even the beer and wine before you buy it. They also have many selections of salamis, crackers, jams etc to choose from. I am glad Livermore has a fun place like this.

I am honestly not sure why I have not written a review yet. Our visits here have been pleasant each time. They have so many wonderful cheeses to pick from, and their staff is super good about sampling cheeses before buying, letting me take the time I need to decide how much to buy snd what I want purchase. The friendly staff also do a great job of explaining about the cheeses offered so it's also a fun experience to learn about the cheeses too. They also have a few shelves for everything that goes with cheese, including quality chocolate and rustic shortbread cookies. Highly recommend!

I am rarely in the area, but would come back more to visit and support this local business for my cheese and charcuterie cravings. Everyone at this shop was so helpful and provided tasty recommendations. Don't be afraid to ask questions regarding the portions and flavors of the cheese! I let them know my preferences skew towards softer sheep's and cow's milk and we sampled a variety of soft to medium textured cheese before making our final selection, settling upon the signature 4-year cheddar and Tentaction. The cheeses went well with a fresh baguette and the Brooklyn beef charcuterie I tried as well.

We love cheese mongers that actually build a board off your preference rather than a set selection! Our host selected some fun funky ones we might be hesitant to buy blind. Loved all the accoutrements too! We brought home some sausage. This is our second establishment we've visited on the California Cheese Trail, and we'll be back when in town!

This is a fantastic little shop with really well versed staff in cheese! They will give detailed descriptions on their cheese, meats and offer wine pairings as well. This place has everything you need for a very incredible charcuterie board. They also have an ever changing selection of cheeses as well. Their cheese board is 27$, 25$ for happy hour and I would really recommend as a chill date activity.

One of my really good friends recommended for me to try the Cheese Parlor. I made it a point to check it out next time I was in LIvemore. We stopped by The Cheese Parlor around 6pm on a Friday night. I thought the Cheese Parlor was just a cheese market. It surely was especially with its beautiful display case of curated cheeses, but I didn't realize that the Cheese Parlor also had a bar! My bestie and I stayed for a cheese plate and a glass of wine. The cheese plate included 4 types of cheese and 2 meats. I told the server that we liked hard and soft cheeses, but we were open to really interesting, funky cheeses if they had any. Our servers did not disappoint in putting together a unique assortment of cheeses from all over the United States. I don't remember the names, but my favorite was a type of mild cheddar with a texture like butter. The cheese plate also came with accompaniments such as jalapeno jelly and different types of pickled veggies. Everything was tasty, and we cleared the entire plate. I really appreciated that The Cheese Parlor offered types of meats not made with pork, so as a non-pork eater this makes charcuterie hard to come by. That being said, they had a beef prosciutto and a duck salami that I enjoyed. Lastly, I was highly impressed by how knowledgeable the staff members were of their cheese. I know that they have to be albeit part of their jobs, but I thought it was especially cool how descriptive they were in explaining the flavors and textures.

Love, love this place! Brandon and team are so knowledgeable about all the products, and so nice and helpful. It's a pleasure shopping and eating there. They are generous with providing samples of most anything you want to try. Their selection & quality of cheese and cured meats is great. You can find everything you need for an awesome spread with all the accompaniments of chutney, pickled goodies, olives, spices, and even chocolate. Not to mention if you eat there, all the local beer and wine selections! I haven't been there for lunch yet, so I haven't tried the sandwiches, but they always look amazing and on Wingen bakery bread, you can't go wrong. When it's busy, it gets pretty loud inside, but most places are these days. My family recently rented the store after hours for a private party and it was great! Brandon is so easy to work with and very accommodating. It was a small event, but everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the wonderful food and drinks.

I made a quick stop here when I was in the area on Saturday afternoon. Picked up two kinds of Pilsner I read about somewhere. I also wanted cheese but it's the hardest thing to choose just one when ALL in the showcase look good, so I asked one of the cheese mongers for his recommendation. The triple cream Brie was the best!! Thank you!! The staff here is very helpful and kind. Had to leave in a hurry this time but will return for in store tasting soon :-)

We had a great time at the Cheese Parlor! Tried out their cheese plate, charcuterie plate and sparkling wine flight. Everyone loved it! Fun ambience, terrific food and really good service. We will be back!

They Sell: - American Lamb (Not Gamey, Delicious) - High-Quality Chicken (Mary's) - Homemade Sausages - Solid Pork/Beef (including Wagyu) - Game Meats, Veal, Seafood - Deli Items - Seasonal: Dry-Age Prime Rib, Heritage Turkey, etc. Over time, I've made a conciencous effort to get my proteins here. My rotation has usually been their chicken leg quarters, ribeyes, lamb rib chops, and pork steaks. Recently, I made tandoori lamb chops (my favorite dish) with their American lamb, and it was honestly one of the best versions I've ever made (photo attached). A few extra notes: * Go during the week if you can. It's less crowded and the experience is more personal -- you get to actually talk to the folks behind the counter. * The walkways are tight. Not their fault, just something to be aware of if you're on the taller or bigger side. * Hours can be tough for a 9-to-5. They're open Wednesday through Friday during the week and close at 5, so I've had a few near-misses trying to swing by after work. Weekends are open, but plan ahead. * Online pricing would be a nice add -- would help with planning. * Wishlist: Would love to see limited offerings of premium versions of other proteins -- Iberico or Berkshire pork, Mary's pasture-raised chicken, Ora King salmon, bluefin tuna. And spirits (bourbon, rum) would be a fun addition. Overall, a great business and a real value-add to the community. I'll keep coming back - highly recommend checking out!

Unfortunately I've tried a different sandwich on two occasions now and won't be back again. The first time I got a build your own sandwich ($14) with pastrami. Usually a place either has amazing pastrami or terrible pastrami. I really did not like the pastrami here, it was super chewy which made for an unpleasant experience to the point where I was forcing myself to finish eating it but felt gross after and probably just should have thrown it out. The second time I tried the Del Valle TAB signature sandwich ($16 + $2 tax). For $18 it was incredibly disappointing. It wasn't a nice big sandwich but just a normal size. The bacon was so hard that I had to consciously make sure to eat it slowly otherwise I felt like I was going to break my teeth. And the overall flavor was lacking.

Glasshouzz was on the way and I've always wanted to try it since seeing it on Yelp. We're really glad we did. First off, it's located in a plaza NEXT TO the Livermore outlets. From the map view, we almost thought it was in the outlets. We were pleasantly surprised to discover this whole plaza even existed! There are so many good-looking restaurants here! So many options to try for next time. We visited on a weeknight during off-peak hours, so there wasn't any wait at all. The decor inside is modern and elegant, and the servers were incredibly friendly. We accidentally missed the front entrance so actually walked toward what we thought was the front door, which was actually the back door, but the staff still kindly opened that back entrance for us and got us situated right away. The menu had a really solid selection: - Tac Tac Tacos: the Mrs. Ordered these. Tender flavorful succulent chicken with a hint of spice, served in fluffy bao-style clamshell buns. Nice fusion touch! The buns tasted fresh and soft, almost melt-in-your-mouth compared the versions I've had at Chinese restaurants. Makes me think they make these fresh in-house. - Applewood Smoked Salmon: I ordered these for myself. They came from the "protein-packed" section on the menu. Can you believe they have it? It was perfect and summer diet compliant for me. All meals from the protein pack section come with vegetables, and mashed potatoes. They also had a chicken breast and lamb option. After eating chicken breast all week, I decided to switch it up for the salmon, which was cooked perfectly. I'm talking soft and flaky. You could really taste the applewood smoked flavor. The mashed potatoes were smooth and really melted in your mouth. TBH , I had to hold myself back from finishing them. - Mac n' Cheese: For The Little One. Because she won't eat anything else -_-. It came from their section kids meals, but was quite delicious, even by adult standards. The Mrs. and I made sure to sample some. The serving size was great. Overall, a great dinner stop with the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food. There's quite a variety ranging from comfort food to protein forward healthier options.
